It's not worth it, it's not about money, especially when you're dealing with a culture. It should be about elevating the idea of what we are and who we are as people in the cinema, and that kind of stuff keeps dragging us back down.

I consider Bush's decision to call for a war against terrorism a serious mistake. He is elevating these criminals to the status of war enemies, and one cannot lead a war against a network if the term war is to retain any definite meaning.

She Ain't Your Ordinary Girl

(Robert Jason)
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She don't love carelessly that's what I've always heard
'Can't use the usual lines she measures every word
No empty promises proof is what it takes to win her heart
The truth and nothing less, simple things that set her far apart
Save your diamonds and your furs she's not your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, no she's not
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, oh no
She ain't your ordinary girl
No midnight alibis, no foolish games for her
And if you cross the line you'll get what you deserve
But when you see her smile nothing seems to matter anymore
And in a little while you'll feel like you've never felt before
Like no other in the world, she's not your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, no she's not
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary, oh no
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
Save your diamonds and your furs, she ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl
She ain't your ordinary
She ain't your ordinary girl

Demon Speeding

Hey, do ya love me. Im untouchable darkness
A dirty black river to get you through this
Hey, do ya love me Im a devil machine
(hey do ya love me Im a devil machine)
Get into my world all american dream
In the mouth of madness
Down in the darkness
No more tomorrow
Down in the hollow
Hey do ya love it when the kids are screaming
Wrecking on the road violate their dreaming
Hey, do ya love to see the filth in the clean
(hey do ya love to see the filth in the clean)
Get into the gone all american dream
In the mouth of madness
Down in the darkness
No more tomorrow
Down in the hollow
Im demon speeding
Im demon speeding
Im demon speeding
Im demon speeding
Get it on, get it on, get it on, get it on come alive
Hey, do ya love me elevating the madness
(hey, do ya love me elevating the madness)
A super death rising to get you through this
(a super death rising to get you through this)
Hey, do ya love me like a beautiful fiend
Get into my world all american dream

Something Absurd Keeps Going

there is something absurd
that keeps on going inside us

this constant craving for what
we do not know yet we claim we want

we feel the need and yet we cannot
really touch it and when we touch it

it gets so painful and we step a foot
backward and then we ponder and

then we go forward we first dislike
it and then we touch it again

there is this feeling that we cannot
describe with the word that we know

it is elating and elevating us one
stair up and then the winds carry us

we do not know what nowhere is
but it is there, it is there, it is....

Compulsive-obsessive Neurosis

he promised himself that at the first second
when he wakes up this morning
he's gonna go directly to the door
get his sneakers and face towel
and take a walk while it is still cold
and dark

but look, here he is again
like a robot, opens his PC,
stares at the monitor, goes to PH
and then starts his
obsessive-compulsive
poetry.

hmm, it maybe a mess that calls for
psychiatry
but on the other hand
the feeling is elevating

now on the ninth cloud he takes a walk
in his fields of
imagination - on the path
of nirvana.

Steeple

I see ordinary people
pouring in and out of steeples
living ordinary lives
learning ordinary lies
they learn; they earn - life passes by
they buy; they die - they never ask, 'WHY? ! '

The Birth Of A Public Stance

Looked naïve, but he was
elevating himself on the heap of lights
unlearning the human commitment.
Hunger was his weapon
to level the uprising of underprivileged.

This monarch of darkness
picks up the best,
insists on low profiles.
We were searching fossils
under the rocks
to decipher the shadows of history.

Between the glory of hardened footprints,
we found the labels.
Contents unknown but enough to browse.

They were weightless
and soaring high.
But I was not able to survive.

Real Is Beautiful

when you go back from where you
once stayed
you notice that there is a wrong there

and it is messy
very messy

and your friends who cannot believe it
call your attention

it is a shame they say
and it will be damaging to my reputation

but i have no plan correcting it
i leave it there
to show me who i was and why i am at present
elevating myself to another level

after all i am the fruit of so many errors
an improvement of my past mistakes

and i am real

and so i leave things as they are
unretouched and no matter how erroneous they had once become
i still think
that they are so beautiful

because they are real.

i like the irony of
you talking to me
and me listening
to you but then
when i start on
an initiative of
getting to know
you,
you tell me you
prefer it that way
at first when we
remain as nothing
but acquaintances
that is
you have no name
i have no name
we keep on living
without touching
i know
this kind of men-
tality, you are this
island that touches
no one and i am
an island too that
must not touch you
like
men without fingers
and hands and yet
we take pride that
we still have the
heart to live with
our hurts, i perfect-
ly understand the
meaning of distance
this privacy elevating
itself to a mystery

in short, i like it
when you become
another very impor-
tant hypocrite in my
list worthy to be placed
in the category of those
who must be avoided.

Religiously Humanistic

My writings are often depicted as political.
And I am religiously humanistic.
With observations I deem as realistic.
But then again,
My nationalistic pride...
Is often interpreted as racist.
And being African-American,
I am often entertained...
By the limitations of others.
Especially those who are insistent...
To live pretensiously within them.
When my experience,
Has been primarily culturally mixed.
Afterall...
It would be extremely difficult for me,
To exist in isolation...
As those who constantly remind,
They are the majority in deed that's defined!
In such fragmented and segmented times.
With many but not most,
Elevating to a higher consciousness to boast.

Carl Sagan

I am a collection of water, calcium and organic molecules called Carl Sagan. You are a collection of almost identical molecules with a different collective label. But is that all? Is there nothing in here but molecules? Some people find this idea somehow demeaning to human dignity. For myself, I find it elevating that our universe permits the evolution of molecular machines as intricate and subtle as we.
