Understanding
It seems like only yesterday
I didn't have a clue
I stood alone not knowin where to turn
Now suddenly I look around
And everything looks new
I don't know why, but I think I'm startin' to learn
They call it understanding
A willingness to grow
I'm finally understanding
There's so much I can know
Until the day you came along
I used to just get lost
I only heard the things I wanted to hear
It always seemed like no one cared
But then you took the time
And now I look and everything seems clear
You've got me understanding
You've really helped me see
I'm finally understanding
It's meant so much to me
You've got me understanding
You're really on my side
You've got me understanding

Elijah's Song
Got a rock and roll ditty
From the heart of the city
To a country lane far away
Drums are beatin'
And the bass repeatin'
And it rocks you to sleep just the same
Sleep, safe and warm
Dream cares be gone
You know that it won't take long
We'll be singin' Elijah's song
Singin' Elijah's song
Ya' got a rock and roll daddy
And you make him so glad
He's got a smile
A mile across his face
Movie star mom
Gonna keep you safe from harm
And she'll do it with style and grace
Sleep, safe and warm
Dream cares be gone
You know that it won't be long
We'll be singing Elijah's song
Singin' Elijah's song
Little bitty child when you laugh
I smile
It's a feelin' I won't ever forget
Far from now
When you're wanderin' 'round
There's a song that I left in your head
Dream, that's what you do
Dream, 'cause dreams come true
Someday when you're big and strong
You'll remember Elijah's song
Remember Elijah's song
Remember Elijah's song
Remember Elijah's song

Be honorable yourself if you wish to associate with honorable people.
Please Keep The Pain
please keep the pain
do not attempt to throw pain away
please be patient
do not scream do not tell the neighbors
do not shame pain by running wildly on the streets
screaming about your pain
please do not create a scandal for this
honorable family in pain
please keep the pain for a while and be honorable
there is decency in pain
keep this pain with a clean face on a smooth disposition
let your arms lay there
appease the pain
as though pain is a baby that you want to put to sleep
soon it will go
nothing is permanent in this world
nothing will last forever
the pain may not subside but soon it will have its right time
it decides to go by itself
there is no choice
we will have this pain too
our pains in silence
because we are honorable too
you will never know
we will never tell you we are decently in pain too
we are honorable
we do not make presumptions that we will survive
but we will
these pains that make us decent and honorable
our faces will not show these pains
we will not even tell
we just keep them without complaining
we are decent we are honorable
we are the survivors

I wanted to give money to people like this woman so that they would be free from the moneylenders to sell their product at the price which the markets gave them - which was much higher than what the trader was giving them.

No Incentive to Capture a Fresh Thought
There is so much that people miss.
So much that 'skips' their understanding.
No exploration of thought,
Brings to them full comprehension.
No mental stimulation is going on in their minds.
The world is defined by them...
As it has been delivered.
There is so much that people miss.
So much emptiness exists,
Between their ears.
Conditioned to be limited,
And from that they view
Is the sum total of their lives!
Some have committed suicide...
That's how shallow their egos felt inside!
There is so much that people miss.
Debating it in mindless arguments...
Makes no sense when that is witnessed.
Attempting to sway one's way with another...
Seems to be likened to a dog chasing its tail.
Or running after cars!
There is a need...
But what is that need feeding?
There is so much that people miss.
So much about 'this'...
This life!
They leave to go unadventured!
With no incentive to capture a fresh thought!

Who Else Other Than Me Know What I Am Thinking
I think mainly based
On my impressions on
The happenings around
Likely and very much likely
None other's impression
Will be similar
Hence, none other thinks
The way I think about an event
My level of understanding or otherwise
My level of value additing or otherwise
My level of experience to an earlier similar event
Are unique to me
And no one can make out
The thoughts processed in me
Based on these
I know some evolved people appreciate
The uniqueness of one thought
And make no attempt to judge on that
Some, however, claim foolishly
That they know who is thinking what
Please appreciate the fact
Who else other than me know what I am thinking
Understand this please
Accept this fact and
Accommodate me, even if found foolish

Acquaintance Of The Wretched
No one is benefited,
From acquaintance of the wretched,
Just like a vine as if
One trails upon the acacia tree
And gets each bunch of grapes
Wounded.

This Poem Is About Agitation
What is this poem about?
And...
What are the poetic devices used?
'Huh?
I remember a timepeople used their minds,
With a thinking process curious enough to research...
For an understanding.
We live in those times when dictionaries are no longer used.
And there are those receiving diplomas and degrees,
From reputable schools...
Who neither can read or write.
But brag about pledging to sororities and fraternities,
And partying day end and all through the night.
What is this poem about?
And the poetic devices used?
This poem is about agitation and another's applied laziness.
It is about those offended when confronted by the truth.
And those who can not prove they have an ounce of intelligence...
Attempting to influence those who do.
Or...
Find they can compete in areas with limited interest,
But discover they can rise to heights...
Based upon the quality of their theft! '
Thank you.
I think I'll just continue using what you have written,
As a basis for my own creations.
'You're kidding?
Really? '

Everything Has Failed
I don’t remember how many women
I’ve fallen in love with! !
How many shoulders I’ve tried to kiss,
How many lips I’ve wanted to make promises to,
How many ponytails I’ve desired
To hold between my lips
Like a holy sacrament! !
I never wanted to be shallow,
I never wanted to hurt a woman,
I never wanted to be a divorced male,
I don’t know why there is
A heaven and a hell! ! !
God should have allowed me
A true commitment! !
I’ll rot in my grave
With no understanding
Why everything has failed! ! !

Change 'Premise' To 'Promise
The premise is there,
Based upon certain assumptions...
To us given.
Although the promise to deliver,
What had been expected is missing...
It would be in our best interest,
To conclude our investigation to be complete.
'But to move forward on a premise,
Leaves what is needed left circumstantial.'
There are the same letters in the word 'premise',
As there are in 'promise'.
Exchange the 'e' for the 'o'...
And no one would ever know the difference,
If the evidence is based upon circumstances...
That concludes our investigation.
Or if assumptions accepted as proof was used.
'So...
No one would ever know,
The evidence we have collected...
Is actually inconclusive? '
Look...
No one here is attempting to prove,
We are scholars or rocket scientists.
Change 'premise' to 'promise' and that's it!
There is no need to be bogged down,
With specifics and details.
This is not that kind of case.

An Astrologer
He sat beside the road,
And was busy in telling the people,
What fates have been ordained,
I impulsively stopped beside him,
And inquired,
“What fortune is you own,
Do you know? ”
He became distressed,
Then he composed himself
And responded,
“Lo! How deep is creased
The line of swindling at my palm.”

Verdict
The verdict was based on prejudice,
And the case was ablaze with fire!
But do come under the protection of my roof.
Persistent,
Humble,
Great potentials;
I only wanted you to know what occurred,
For the verdict was based on prejudice.

Flight 602
You are, you are on a plane now
And on your way up north
Canada is so far from where you want to be
Be in california, with sunshine in your heart
But you know there are people
That you have to be
Have to be
Have to be what they say you are
What you always wanted to be
Wanted to be
Wanted to be just a man
Fulfilled but a little more free
A little more free
You are, you are in a hotel
And in your room alone
Lying there, but not knowing where youre sposed to be
Be thinking of b-3s and leslies going round
And you know there are people
That are going to be
Going to be
Going to see what they say you are
What youve always wanted to be
Wanted to be
I only wanted to be just a man
Fulfilled but a little more free
A little more free
A little more free
