Puzzle Solved
Forming a puzzle in front of my vision,
I have quests and solutions for them;
The inspiration from the Devil is immense,
Strict peace is observed without him.
The demons are against the solution of a puzzle,
For the evil of the deeds are to be kept.
One puzzle is like two pens at work,
This conjures the vision of a dream to write.

It’s like an adult version of a parlour game, isn’t it?
a sorta cross between a single-handed game of patience
and a crossword puzzle where the guy who set the puzzle
is always a step at least ahead of you dammit
and knows there’s a perfect solution
only known to him, or Him
so here I am, shuffling these black-and-white
(well, kinda browny-maroon on this site)
soundless things which are supposed to be
sounds in my ear and mind which
by mad optimism forever proved somewhat
or totally wrong in experience
are supposed to come out the other end
into your ear and mind in a vaguely
similar manner – allowing for the fact
that if you’re of a critical cast then
you’ll have a superior ear and mind
to mine anyway so that’s a mess for a start
and I suppose the same applies if
you have an inferior - oh forget it
so forget for the moment
this creeping disorder of rather dumb
black and white caterpillars making their humpy
busy-legged but corporately slow
progress across the page in a
disorderly snaky line, arguing among themselves
trying to remember (ah yes, Plato,
trying to remember) like
a Spanish bus-queue, whom they’re
behind and whom they’re in front of
if and when the bus comes, while they
chatter in little groups among themselves –
where was I, ah yes, forget
the black-and-white on paper, and rhyme
or not, and all that technical stuff
which you’re not suppose to notice anyway
and know that what
I really want to do is
take your two hands gently in mine and
smiling, look you straight in the eye
and say
when all’s said and done
and that may take a little time,
and to coin a cliché which
I’m not apologising for, but
forget it’s supposed to be poetry and
listen to my sincere voice saying

Missing puzzle
They talk of the puzzle that has the missing piece,
But none mention the piece with the missing puzzle,
It's hard when there is nowhere to turn for release,
And searches for acceptance lead to refusal,
It pains me to hear puzzles constantly complain,
For the piece with a missing puzzle cries in vain,
They try to fit in places that they never can,
And end up with a life like that of a cursed man,
They can pretend they are another puzzle piece,
And then try forcing themselves into a puzzle,
But it will hurt them until they crave for release,
And acknowledge their prospective host's refusal,
They will surely be doomed to tiresomely roam,
In a vain search for a place that they can call home,
Till they declare themselves a puzzle of their own,
And then learn how to be content being alone.

8th Grade Graduation
A puzzle together
a puzzle apart
each piece belongs to my heart
each piece is differant
each piece is great
But now they have to take on the long expected fate
They knew it would come
the day was here
the day they dreaded at the beginning of the year
The day they would be pulled apart
the whole would be broken
they knew it from the start
A piece here
and a piece there
how could life be so unfair

is now forgotten
the pieces have strayed
They went away

Peace Returns Again
We live, We die.
We mourn. We cry.
And those that are left
pick up the pieces
that were that person's life,
little pieces that fit together
like a puzzle that just like the weather
is filled with changes
of highs and lows,
of happy times
and all their woes.
The last piece of the puzzle
fits right into place
and frames the picture
that was their face.
We keep that puzzle in our heart
and remember with love each little part
that was that person's life.
We then are left with an enigma,
a puzzle that relates their life.
It lives on in the mysteries of this world
