I never quite envisioned myself a proper doctor under that white coat, but I was interested in the idea of healing and in the psychological dimension rather early on.

White Hat White Coat
To the late doug whalan.... from your daughter.....
White hat white coat and greying in hair
he would dance around the dance floor with plenty of flair
White hat white coat black pants to boot
the men would all say 'silly old coot'
Whitehat white coat and a big friendly smile
when he went to a dance he'd dress in style
White hat white coat and a beat in his feet
it's of to the dance and people to meet
White hat white coat and a scotch on the rocks he'd love to dance
and the men would all mock
White hat white coat asleep at the wheel
he's danced all night 'boy i know how he feels'
White hat white coat have been put to the test
it's time to go home for a well earned rest
White hat white coat clean shirt and socks too
he's all geard up and ready for round two
White hat white coat so tired and run down
close your eyes and dream of your nights on the town
White hat white coat you've seen better days
your torn around the edges and your starting to fray
White hat white coat the time's come for us to part
but always remember ' i love you with all my heart '

The Doctor Is Calling
The doctor is calling
Somethings gone wrong
Nowhere do I belong
I listen to the voices in the dark room
Somethings going down
But I cant make a sound
Looking past the bars of my mind
The coat of arms falling
I hear the doctor calling
The family crest is falling
I hear the doctor calling
Always sharing trips
Remove me from your lips
Sight and mind still and never go away
One too many tantrums
Deviated symptoms
Better lock the phantom away
The coat of arms falling
I hear the doctor calling
The family crest is falling
I hear the doctor calling
I see the chalkline crawling
I hear the doctor calling me away
This place is my home
My mind still runs free
The doctors prescription
Less for you and more for me
The coat of arms falling
I hear the doctor calling
The family crest is falling
I hear the doctor calling
I see the chalkline crawling
I hear the doctor calling me away
A merciful embalming
I hear the doctor calling me away

I am interested in getting people to use the healthcare system at the right time, getting them to see the doctor early enough, before a small health problem turns serious.

A Village Grandpa and the kind Doctor
'Yes Papa what brought you here'
'I am sick with menses'
' I understand Hemorrhoids'
'No, Women get that kind'
'Certainly Men get menses'
Doctor pacified the old patient!

And The Healing Has Begun
(van morrison)
When we walk down the avenue again
When we walk down the avenue again
When we walk down the avenue again
When the healing has begun
When we walk down the avenue in style
When we walk down the avenue, we smile
And we know that its all going to be worthwhile
Because the healing has begun
Because the healing has begun
I want you to put on your bright red summer dress
I want you to put on your easter bonnet and sunday coat and all the rest
And I want to make sweet love to you, yes
When the healing has begun
When the healing has begun

Doctor
Johnston/Midnight/Schwartz
I'm a man who lives in the city
I'm a man who lives in the street
From F.L.A. to Frisco Bay
And everywhere in between
Coast to coast there's a question
Everybody's always askin' me
People want to know everywhere I go
What can the answer be
Music is the doctor
Makes you feel like you want to
Listen to the doctor
Just like you ought to
Music is the doctor of my soul
Well it seems that when I travel
And I'm out there on the road
The freedom I need is the freedom I leave
In my good time rock and roll
There's a healing in those guitars
And a spirit in the song
No matter what condition your rhythm is in
The message goes on and on
Music is the doctor
Makes you feel like you want to
Listen to the doctor
Just like you ought to
Music is the doctor of my soul
If you ever wonder
How to shake your blues
Just follow this prescription
And get the cure for what's ailin' you
Music is the doctor
Makes you feel like you want to
Listen to the doctor
Just like you ought to
Music is the doctor of my soul

Healing
I'm still healing, I'm still dying.
I'm still healing, I'm still nothing.
I'm still healing, I live alone.
I'm still healing, my eyes see shadows.
I'm still healing, I love no one.
I'm still healing, I'm finally dead.

The Hand That Feeds
Doctor, doctor, doctor
Please, doctor, doctor, please
Doctor, doctor, doctor
Feel like an old diseace
Get your sweet ass off the floor
Doctor, doctor, doctor
I cant refuse any loose harted lady anymore
I scream your name into the crowd
You feel the flame, but yo aint proud
Mabye your attitude aint right
So all thats left for me to do is bite
The hand that feeds me
Feeds me
Doctor, doctor, doctor
Doctor, doctor, please
All things you put me through
What the hell you want me to
Do all the things that uncle john needs
I aint the dog that bites the hand that feeds me
In the middle of, with a spittle of
Et tu like birds of a feather
When another day, love another way
Push, shove, make love, play
Never never, never ever
Never ever, never ever
Na, na...
Doctor, doctor, doctor
Please do a-what you can
Doctor, doctor, doctor
Would you please give my life a hand
All the things you put me trough
What the hell you want me to
Do all the things that uncle john needs
I aint the dog that bites the hand that feeds me, yeah
Doctor, doctor, doctor
Doctor, doctor, please

Healing Hand of God
The Lord to me has revealed, from my illness I’ve been healed,
From that cancer, deep inside, this, the doctor has not denied,
What was said to be incurable, is now removed, by God’s Will,
Stating that, I am now cancer free, for The Lord has healed me.
For when my body was diseased, my Lord above was pleased,
To touch my body in that state, to heal my body along the wait,
Upon my Lord’s healing touch, as God loves His own so much,
Always faithful to each one of us, as we follow our Lord, Jesus.
It could seem God may hesitate, while for Him we patiently wait,
But God moves in His own time, by His decreed, eternal design,
A design involving each one of us, who in God, place their trust,
As from God, it is understood, all things, work out for our good.
My healing is all for God’s Glory, as He takes my doctor’s story,
Using the doctor’s medical skill, in accordance with Christ’s Will,
This is also part of our Lord’s plan, to touch an unbelieving man,
Who has been used by The Lord, though by him, God’s ignored.
As I lift up to the Lord, my praise, for carrying me all these days,
In all, the doctor is able to see; he too, can be healed spiritually,
That the doctor, can really rejoice, along with me, with one voice,
As to him, The Holy Spirit reveals, it is The Lord, Who truly heals.

Pink Coat
The pink coat
She put on when it was cold
The pink coat
That was hung up when she was home
The pink coat
That kept her warm
The pink coat
That witnessed her first cut
The pink coat
She wore when she was crying
The pink coat
That knew her plans
The pink coat
That saw what happened
The pink coat
She had on when she walked in front of that truck
The pink coat
That witnessed it all
The pink coat
Had no one to keep warm, now
The pink coat
That wanted to tell everyone the truth about her
Just;
The pink coat

The fate of attention
I grew interested.
I became interested.
I stayed interested.
I was no more interested.
I was no longer interested.
I grow uninterested.
It is so for every person
And for every thing
We focus our attention on.

Back On My Feet
God will supply my need each day, while in my bed I humbly lay,
The surgeon has finished his end, now healing time I must spend.
He helps me not to grimace or pout, as God works all things out.
And although the pain is truly real, God’s healing touch I can feel.
While in recovery where I had to lie, Mercy, God began to supply,
As that pain began to subside, God’s Grace could not be denied.
Resting in God’s Mighty Hand, steadfast, I did continue to stand,
All the pain I know I should feel, was truly absent from the ordeal.
My recovery’s now been reduced, for The Lord’s Grace is loosed,
On my body God began to shower, His Grace and Healing Power,
Guiding the surgeon’s hands first, God gave me His healing burst,
As God’s healing power is poured, upon my body, to be restored.
Now back on my feet days prior to, a target date I originally knew,
Prescribed by the doctor God led, God speedup recovery instead,
And even the doctor was amazed, while back to health I am raised,
Raised up by The Lord over all, my progress put my doctor in awe.
Now to my Lord I joyfully raise, heartfelt thanks and tons of praise,
Almost back to normal long before, it was stated I’d see that door;
I praise God for His Grace and Love, as I praise my Lord up above,
Who saw me through a dark time, because I am His and He is mine.

Doctor’s Day,2010
Doctor, doctor, carer of sick!
Doctor, doctor, healer on earth;
Doctor, doctor, noble is thine field;
Doctor, doctor, serve thine brethren well!
Doctor, labor all the more;
Clean and dress the chronic sore;
Let no person taint thine name;
Never forget thine great aim.
Doctor, let not wealth allure;
Doctor, lead a life all pure;
Doctor, try to always cure;
God will bless thee on earth, sure.
