The idea that happiness could have a share in beauty would be too much of a good thing.

My Longing
I wonder if you could share with me
The happiness of what you are with
And after what I have shared
With whatever I ever offered
Except pains and sorrows
Some sweetness remains
I wonder if you could share with me
The happiness of what you're with
For I've been sharing you the very thing
I have ever enjoyed
And what other people all can share
I also want to share your happiness

Of Course Your Idea Of Happiness Differs From Mine
Of course your idea of happiness
differs to mine,
You and me
we were built with different hands,
designed with different minds.
Of course your idea of happiness
centres around structure,
focuses on stability
Evolves around precise dinner times
daily chats, with the t.v muted
Happiness must be earned
worked for, battled for.
Of course my idea of happiness
spits upon yours,
I am the magnet of your attractions
I am everything you want but despise.
Yes sex is a must, it need not have
to be about trust,
Just a release to control the beast
within me,
Just a way of keeping the dog on it lead.
Yes talk is nice, after a bottle of wine,
or when I feel the need to share my angst.
Dinner is fine, but do not bitter it with the
mention of time,
I am a man, a savage, a poorly tuned radio,
An akward rebellious robot
I malfunction when overloaded.
Of course I love you,
But what is love...........

I accept this idea of democracy. I am all for trying it out. It must be a good thing if everybody praises it like that. If our government has been willing to go to war and sacrifice billions of dollars and millions of men for the idea I think that I ought to give the thing a trial. The only thing that keeps me from pitching head long into this thing is the presence of numerous Jim Crow laws on the statute books of the nation. I am crazy about the idea of Democracy. I want to see how it feels.

All The Good Ones Are Gone
How many times have I heard it said,
especially by ladies out there.
They see someone with happiness
and wish they had a share
in all the happiness and fun.
When you ask them why
they don’t have someone,
they turn, frown, and simply say
all the good ones are gone.
This view isn’t only with the ladies,
I know a lot men who
will say the same sort of thing too,
that all the good ones are gone.

Give Me A Thing Of Beauty
Beauty
Enters a room unannounced
It is unassuming
Noticed and this is all that counts
Give me a thing of beauty
Subtle, elaborate
More beautiful when inhabited
Uncontested by a soul
So blessed its mere presence can heal
Those who are contaminated - by it being revealed
Beauty
Exits in bloom with great fanfare
Glad to be of service
It is more than happy to share
Novelties & pleasantries…
…And the splendor they bring
Give me a thing of beauty
It is a beautiful thing

Monkey Blood
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you..,
Still everyday you question it.
A gift god has given.
Someday hopefully I'm forgiven.
A blessing totally taken for granted.
But at the time I had no idea how special I really was.
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you.., I
Love is all the same.
No matter the face or name.
Their is no better claim.
In this life not everything is a game.
Still sometimes we lose, even when everything is done right.
Wishing for a little more guidance with a little better insight.
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you.., I
A shadow appears where I once stood.
It grows as the sun rises.
It moves as I move.
It is their till I walk inside.
It is a mirror image of all that is true in this world.
It hides when you hide.
It is brave when you brave.
Standing strong, even when I'm so weak all emotion nearly gone.
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you.., I
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you.., I
We're not so different after all.
Beauty in the eyes of the beholder.
A shallow hal syndrome.
A sickness I will not condone.
Equals in everything good and great.
They are always more then enough reasons to celebrate.
For in this life their is still plenty of breaths to take.
And in this life their are still plenty of mornings to wake..
And in this life ohhh ohhh,
And in this life ohhh ohhh you still have a smile even if it is only sometimes.
Trust me when I say every thing will be just fine.
Even when its not.
An uplifting of ones spirit.
I give you strength.
I give you courage.
I give you everything I have without a single regret.
Even upon the abuse of it I'll still never regret it, no never.
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you.., I
I cut myself to share my monkey blood.
To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.

To show you what we're all made of.
I'm no different than you.
I'm no better than you.
Then you, then you.., I
Finally the last cut has been made.
Their nothing left to show.
And now I must go.
Oh please don't easyly forget what I told you.

Good Conversation
Everybody's so mixed up about love these days
And everybody's trying to work it out in different ways
I don't really need to know your aspirations
What I need from you babe
Is good conversation
To put my mind at ease
An old friend called the other day
And wasn't quite sure what to say
Didn't seem to know me anymore
And I said
Don't treat me like I'm someone new
I'm still the same one you used to talk to
But all I need from you friend
Is good conversation
Is good conversation
To put my mind at ease
Though It seems as if the world has come between us
And our lives don't look the same
Though in the past you have shared all my happiness
Will you be there to share the pain
Everyday I'm surrounded by
A million voices from the sky
And they all have the same thing to say
Now what I need is something new
Is it something you can do
To share in that kind
Of good conversation
Is good conversation
That puts my mind at ease
Puts my mind at ease
yeah baby
(all I need is)
(all I)
Woah yeah
(all I)
(all I)
(all I need is)
Is it my iniagination
(all I)
And can you see my frustration
(all I)
I don't need admiration
(all I)
But I'm trying to be patient
What I'm looking for
(all I)
Is good conversation
(all I)
(all I need is)
Is it imy imagination
(all I)
Could it be my destination
(all I)
And what I'm looking for
(all I)
is good conversation
(all I need is)
And what i'm asking for
(all I)
is good conversation
(all I)
To put my mind at ease

It's very good for an idea to be commonplace. The important thing is that a new idea should develop out of what is already there so that it soon becomes an old acquaintance. Old acquaintances aren't by any means always welcome, but at least one can't be mistaken as to who or what they are.

Too Much Of A Good Thing
Smiles in the morning
As warm as sunshine
Kisses when I lay down at night
And 2 loving arms
To console me
I should be scared, it's so right
But, too much of a good thing
Is a good thing
Feelings like this can't be wrong
And, too much of a good thing
Is a good thing
And we've got a good thing going on
You look in my eyes
And see my thinkin'
I know when you're happy, when you're sad
Someone said
It's too perfect
But, I don't think what we have is so bad
Cause, too much of a good thing
Is a good thing
Feelings like this can't be wrong
And, too much of a good thing
Is a good thing
And we've got a good thing going on
And we've got a good thing going on

We Will Not Lose Hope
We will not lose hope
One day all will have freedom
All will live in peace
Experience love
And share the beauty
Of warmth and sunshine.
We can walk in sunshine
Holding on to our hope
Noticing all the beauty
Feeling all the freedom
When we walk in love
With the idea of peace.
There can be peace
If we trade darkness for sunshine
Trade hate for love
Trade defeatism for hope
Trade bondage for freedom
To enjoy a world full of beauty.
If we look we will find the beauty
If we look we will find the peace
If we look we will find the freedom
If we look we will find the sunshine
If we look we will find the hope
If we look we will find the love.
Then share the love
Share the beauty
Share the hope
For this world to be full of peace
By us all living in the sunshine
For a new world full of freedom.
Let us all feel the freedom
By learning to love
Each other like we love sunshine
And seeing each others beauty
Together we will have peace
If we hold onto hope.
To treasure our freedom and peace
To treasure our beauty and sunshine
Just don’t let go of love or let go of hope.

Ive Got A Good Thing
(jerry ragavoy / mort shuman)
I got a good thing
I got a good thing
I got a good thing going
Take the sun and take the moon
And stars that shine so bright
All I need is my guy
And everythings all right
Everything about him thrills me
The way he looks at me just kills me
Hes got a way of getting to me
Every kiss just goes right through me
I got a good thing
You know I got a good thing, baby
I got a good thing going
Take the rainbow from the sky
Oh, I dont really care
I will have a pot of gold
As long as he is there
I never knew such sweet affection
And its all in my direction
If he left theres no mistaking
My poor heart would start to break and
I got a good thing
You know I got a good thing going
I got a good thing going, yeah
I got a good thing, yeah
You know I got a good thing going
You know I got a sweet thing baby
Everything is everything, baby
Everything is uptight, all right, out of sight
Yeah, I got a good thing going, yeah
You know I got a good thing

Happiness In A Bottle
My stomach hurts
my liver failed
to much happiness prevailed
happiness comes in certain shapes
it comes in only shades of brown or transparency
it demolishes hurt and lessens dignity
another shot of happiness
another dose of emptiness
happiness a endless bliss
mix it with some flavors and smoothness
makes you feel invincible
makes your stomach dance and whirl
the doctors say to much of happiness isnt good for you
happiness takes you out of reality and makes things untrue
every one that doesn't have it want it
and every one that has it want more
some people despise others that have it
they send them to letter meetings
and blame them for recklessness
how could some thing so good be so bad
for years ive known only happiness comes in cans
and glass bottles to
while every ones searching for their so called happiness
ive already found mines in brew.

Your Way To Happiness
Pave the way for joy and smile
For these will take you far away miles
And will prove as your nice friends
With whom you feel happiness never end
So build a way for happiness dear
And know that its good to share
Your joy and fain and your fun
Before each day is through and done
And know and learn this my dear
That happiness in your way will appear
Only if it will get a chance
To show its presence in your life in advance.

The really good idea is always traceable back quite a long way, often to a not very good idea which sparked off another idea that was only slightly better, which somebody else misunderstood in such a way that they then said something which was really rather interesting.

Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You
I don't look good in no Armani Suits
No Gucci shoes - or designer boots
I've tried the latest lines from A to Z
But there's just one thing that looks good on me
The only thing I want
The only thing I need
The only thing I choose
The only thing that looks good on me...is you
I'm not satisfied with Versace style
Put those patent leather pants - in the circular file
Sometimes I think - I might be lookin' good
But there's only one thing that fits me like it should
The only thing I want
The only thing I need
The only thing I choose
The only thing that looks good on me...is you
Ya it's you - it could only be you
Nobody else will ever do
Ya baby it's you - that I stick to
Ya we stick like glue
The only thing I want
The only thing I need
The only thing I choose
The only thing that looks good on me...is you

Happiness
Happiness is my high.
Happiness feels great inside.
Happiness is quite rare.
Happiness is barely there.
Happiness comes when I am around friends.
Happiness always ends.
Happiness I want more.
Happiness I adore.
Happiness is when my mom calls.
Happiness is when watching waterfalls.
Happiness is my high.
Happiness feels good inside.

Beauty is a boring thing
Beauty is a boring thing
The silly standard to be called beautiful
Thousand typical pretty faces walking in front of me
Looks good but no more than that
The instant road to attract shallow people
It sounds pretty but nothing special to be looked at
From logical to crazy treatment to enhance your beauty
I know it is hard work to follow the fashion
But if you don’t feel happy, what is the point it could be?
Beauty is just a relative thing that certainly adored
But for me beauty is a boring thing

An Idea
An Idea can change the world, how many
things can be done from an idea, every piece
of object was an idea, sense the beginning of
time idea was the first thought created in the
mind, an idea is what surround’s every being.
But an idea is still only an idea and it can't be
felt, you cannot touch an idea or kiss it, or hold it,
ideas do not bleed or feel pain or love, an idea
cannot be seen or heard, its created in our thoughts,
but then again an idea can become real. An idea
can be what ever you which it to be, an idea can
be destructive, an idea can be brilliant, I've seen
people get killed in the name of ideas, ideas,
we walk around with a little
light bulb blinking in our thoughts, ideas.
