In Mind, In Pen
When I saw the film 'Laurence of Arabia'
I wrote a poem about the deserts.
If I saw a program over cooking,
I would write a poem about Desserts.
If I watched a program about Fishing
I'd probably write a poem over Lakes
when I saw the film ' Boa'
I wrote a poem about snakes
If I saw a T.V. show about farms
would I write a poem about a Hen?
And if I would see a documentary over 'Famine'
What would I write about then?

Song For Mary
Written by: james henman
When I try to find
Words that wish to rhyme
I will never write this song for her tonight
We have stood alone
We have walked alone
Wont you help write this song for her tonight
Help me write this song
Help me write this song
Help me write her song
Tonight
When I try to pray
I cant start to say
All those things I wish to say to her tonight
When she hears her song
She will sing along
She will know the words her heart for me to find
Will you help write this song
Help me write this song
Help me sing her song
Tonight
All these words Ive said
Lyin on my bed
Will they help me sleep alone again tonight
And we have walked alone
We have talked alone
Will you help me sing her song for her tonight
Will you help me sing her song
Help me sing her song
Help me sing her song

Scribbler's Stymie
Pen and paper in sight
I've got no poem to write
Staying up all night
I've got no poem to write
Although my mind is bright
I've got no poem to write
It's windy out tonight, should I go fly a kite?
I've got no poem to write
My ceiling, it is white
I've got no poem to write
It's 4: 59! Five, but not quite
I've got no poem to write
In your arms I'd feel so light
I've got no poem to write
I've had no sleep tonight
I've got no poem to write
Will you just hold me tight?
I've got no poem to write
Outside it's almost light
I've got no poem to write
It's late, off goes my light
I've got no poem to write

I Need You Tonight
How can I show you?
I take back what I told you.
cause something happens when I hold you,
And that makes everything all right.
And oh... oh... I need you tonight.
I just need you tonight.
I wrote all I can write.
I just need you tonight.
In need you tonight.
Secrets I keep here.
Buried so very deep here.
If only somehow you could sleep here,
Youd make everything all right.

Somewhere Tonight
When you meet a special person
And it feels good passing time
You tell yourself its casual
But they have something else in mind
You try to make some reason
A voice calls out from across the room
She runs away without an answer
She runs away too soon
Chorus:
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
We all belong to someone
Sometimes theyre so far away
You write down words in letters
Not quite sure what they say
You know that she needs you
And you miss her in your heart
But a certain feeling lingers
That keeps us miles apart
Chorus:
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
(youd better believe)
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
(instrumental break)
(oh lord)
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
(youd better believe)
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying
Somewhere tonight
Someones crying

Tonight
Ninety-thousand screaming watts
Honey dripping from her pot
Fill the cup to the top tonight
This deadly sin is all we know
Pleasure victim, who's next to fall
The question is will you please us all tonight?
Tonight tonight tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover
Stand tall and ring the bell
The final stroke send you to hell
Take your body like a hammer and a nail
The taste of love, it might me yours
Slide down my knees, taste my sword
Can you feel the power inside tonight?
Tonight tonight tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover
Tonight, we need a lover tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover tonight
We need a lover
Tonight tonight

Just A Blank Page In Front Of Me
I sit here at my desk
trying to figure out a line to write,
inspiration seems to have deserted me tonight.
I hear no strings of love;
feel no emotions deep,
just a blank paper in front of me.
Each word I write seems to stop there,
no further words follow.
I’m in despair.
What happed to the happy words I want to write,
the feelings I want to express?
Gone I’m afraid for tonight.
Let us hope they return
at tomorrows dawning light.

I Could Not Write A Poem Tonight
I COULD NOT WRITE A POEM TONIGHT
I could not write a poem tonight-
Something in myself
Held me far too tightly,
To give to something else.
But now that I am writing
And the words begin to flow,
I wonder if my Poetry
Is much worse than I know.

Someone Tonight
Youve got it. I want it.
Surrender. dont run away.
Some say Im cold-blooded.
Id say Im just not that way.
I need someone tonight.
Someone to hold on to me tight.
I need someone tonight.
If I could convince you,
If you would just say all right.
Id treat you so tender.
Then leave you and never write.
I need someone tonight.
Someone to hold on to me tight.
I need someone tonight.

Sans Inspiration
Tonight I’m inspired
By my lack of inspiration
I’m inspired to write
And defy this Mental constipation
Tonight I’ll write…
Simply out of spite
entirely, and completely
Without inspiration

What My Tears Are Trying To Say
We will never
Sing together again.
And I want to
Run into the night
And catch you.
Snatch you,
To ease my pain.
But I just have my pen
To write.
What my tears are trying to say
Tonight.
Yet I know it's all
In vain.
We will never
Dance together again.
And I want to
Run into the rain.
Hold you close,
Overdose
On smiles and kisses.
My poor heart misses.
From way back when.
But I just have my pen
To write
What my tears are trying to say
Tonight.
And my love,
I know
I've lost the fight.
I know.

But also, the guest workers program, it's quite often misused, meaning people could come in as part of a guest workers program and after two weeks in the fields, they'd run off to do every other kind of job that isn't covered by a guest workers program.

In Georgia it's a little different because of the East Cobb program. It's such a strong program that we see a lot of kids that come through here on a lot of different teams from across the country that come here to play in tournaments.
Inspiration
My pen is poised, what shall I write,
The mind is 'dark', it needs some light,
Some 'inspiration' would be enough
To trigger the fingers and do a rough
Transcript of thoughts which might be pleasing,
But somehow at present, I'm into squeezing
My brain, to think up a suitable start,
Why aren't I a person who's 'grey matter' is smart,
When out of the blue a sentence appears,
The brain reacts and the numbness clears,
To reveal a startling piece of Lit,
That suddenly becomes a Hit,
That would be great, but the chances are,
A million to one! Oh! Lets retire to the bar!

Forever unheard.

Write Erase Write Erase
this is what happens to this poem
when you have nothing to write
tonight....write, erase, write, erase
you are waiting
for an inspiration that does not come
you keep on waiting and then something comes
you write it, you think about it, you read it and you find nothing
worth the letter you assign to it
then you erase it and you are honest enough to admit that there is nothing
beautiful
not even a purpose, and then you write the word again, you ponder, there is
nothing worth its existence
there is nothing to grow in that word chosen
you erase it again, you write it and then there is this space of thinking,
what is it? you ask. what is it really?
it is this denial.
this negation of
what you are
that keeps you writing.
you stand by the window. Look out
the road. You see a dog, and it is howling again
to the moon
and to the wrong tree
it is barking.
