We live in a fractured world. I've always seen it as my role as an artist to attempt to make wholeness.

The Artists.....
the role of a true artist
is to put order to the messy state of things
chopped lines are interconnected again
colors are categorized to a harmonious blending
a room of scattered old and dirty clothes
bedsheets in disarray
pillows on the floor
paper scratches and pens and ink spilled
the artist picks them all up
and puts them properly back to the places
where they must be
for at the beginning there was an order of perfection
but then this universe bangs itself against a black space of a wall
and goes into an accelerated entropy
a scattering, a chaos pursuing upon another chaos
expanding litters of planets and stars
and God the Artist gathers them all into One
Harmony, the Silenced Storm, the Wellness and Wholeness
of These All
We are all these Artists, God's Children looking for Peace.

An artist never works under ideal conditions. If they existed, his work wouldn't exist, for the artist doesn't live in a vacuum. Some sort of pressure must exist. The artist exists because the world is not perfect. Art would be useless if the world were perfect, as man wouldn't look for harmony but would simply live in it. Art is born out of an ill-designed world. This is the issue in Andrey Rubliov.

The Assassin, the Artist, and the Dog
Walking across this dangerous land
In this magical but corrupted world
The assassin, the artist, and the dog travel
This world is unbalanced
It surely is a world in ruin
The assassin, the artist, and the dog travel
And they know
That to survive
They must fight
Whether they like it or not
The assassin has his dangerous swords
and sharpened throwing tools
The artist has her enchanted paintbrushes
and magical paints
The dog has his bark and bite
And that's good enough for him
Everything else is perfect for the rest of them
During the day
During the night
As they travel along
It's a world on the brink of madness
But the assassin, the artist, and the dog know
of that
They know of the choices and chances they'll
have to make and take
It's tough out there to survive
But they know what it will take
They know what the world is like
They know how the world is

Go Out And Have Yourself A Ball
Isn't it easy to accuse someone,
Who is relied upon to be accountable...
For abandoning those that take their own irresponsibility,
As belonging to the one they take for granted!
While declaing that person to play...
The role of the absentee father.
Trust me...
This will be therapy!
My advice to this 'cinderella'?
Go out and have yourself a ball.
You can not live everyone else's life.
And ignore your own.
Although you will be declared guilty,
If you decide to make such an attempt.

I've come to understand my role. On some level, I provide the context for them to shine. I also know my role is the steward of the songs, and the center point, the artist that the stuff all revolves around. But I really try to honor that.

My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all.

I Simply Cant Go On
Im sorry but its true.
I just simply cant face another day.
Im in enough pain from past events.
This is the only choice I have left.
I can not go to face another day.
Why the hell must people make me stay?
I've planned my death for so long now.
Each attempt I make has failed.
Why oh why?
Am I supposed to live in pain?
I dont have anything to give.
In my bitter twisted mind.
I hate the world its all false.
I cant live this way.
I refuse to do so.
Its all a pile of shit.
To this day I've wanted to die.
Now I shall get my wish.

In fact, the element of play has an important role in my life, and I think that should be the case in the life of every artist. Our life is occupied with playing, whether we play an instrument or a role.

Positive Role Model
Here we are
where we were
back on everything
Went too far
now we're fine
back on everything
So much for making it day by day
Back on everything
Instead of taking another way
we're back on everything
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model
My reflection on the street
Is that the way I walk?
Introspection as I speak
I need to change the way I talk
In a changing world
there's so much you could be
Why can't you choose your self
like your enemy?
Have you ever imagined
a new you?
I could be someone else
Somebody new
Reinvention:
my intention
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model
I want a positive role model

The role of art in society differs for every artist.
Fractured Pieces
Fractured pieces, those parts of a life
that have splintered and fallen apart
are much too hard to remember.
They live silently in your heart.
But you never forget them or how they came
as you try to leave them behind.
A splinter or two winces and hurts
as once again you find
it surfacing again out of the blue
with scenes that brought it about.
Why did it happen? What was I thinking?
Finally it leaves you in doubt.
If I let my guard down and don't take care
do I now have just what it takes
to walk the straight and narrow path
and avoid the big mistakes?
There is no guarantee in anyone's life
that pain won't ever come.
But those fractured pieces that have healed
will help you not to succumb.

You Can't Lose
Artist(Band):98 Mute
(Print the Lyrics)
There's so many corridors for you to explore
Just when you think you've seen it all you find something more
Always one more aisle to pursue in this department store
Just be sure you don't forget to purchase what you came for
Take a look around do you like what you see
A vast ocean of opportunity
You can always make a change if your view does not suit you
So many splendid paths from which to choose
You can't lose
Stumbling through the world one day I met a man of depth
He was kind and spoke wisely this is what he said
For what it's worth life's worth the wait
Try to sample life from many plates
Paint your life use palates with many paints
And in gold you'll be worth your wait
Lose sight of yourself for a while
And act foolishly just like a child
Make sure you live your life out of style
Break free from the rank and file
An endless storybook always another page
And each chapter can end the way you choose
You've been cast the leading role and your whole life's a stage
Experience is the one thing you can't lose
You can't lose
If you never try you've already died
So you better try
I'm telling you no matter what you do
You can't lose

The Artist
The Artist and his Luckless Wife
They lead a horrid haunted life,
Surrounded by the things he's made
That are not wanted by the trade.
The world is very fair to see;
The Artist will not let it be;
He fiddles with the works of God,
And makes them look uncommon odd.
The Artist is an awful man,
He does not do the things he can;
He does the things he cannot do,
And we attend the private view.
The Artist uses honest paint
To represent things as they ain't,
He then asks money for the time
It took to perpetrate the crime.

We’re creators by permission, by grace as it were. No one creates alone, of and by himself. An artist is an instrument that registers something already existent, something which belongs to the whole world, and which, if he is an artist, he is compelled to give back to the world.

Bringing Down
The road breaks here.
Give me something to heal the fractured earth.
Angels are too much for me, the
gash turns inward ripping apart
eternal vigil.
They head into the burning books
and then explode themselves
on wet sands, generating grids, blithely lethal.
Wired blind, the sun weeps.
A green catastrophe tears a huge iceburg.
Post-coitol emptiness. The sweet nothing
stops. He becomes everything, the world
was not. The clouds bleach, moon
strips to bone. The artist goes into
exile to find a fiction.

Sonnet: Art is Longer than Life
Much longer stays Art than an Artist’s life,
Whose earthly work is almost eternal!
His sculptures/ monuments though raised ’midst strife,
Can make any mortal, quite immortal.
The year’s consumed in the wake of an art,
His indomitable spirit and patience,
Can him enormous wealth on earth impart,
Or reward him with glory that is dense.
Each stone erected crumbles to powder;
Every painting can’t withstand time’s weather;
Inscriptions may be forgotten, brother;
But Art will live on and on much longer!
Oh, what hands made an Artist’s hands and brain!
He’s the Master Artist who brings the Rain.

Where's Buddha?
Fractured tears
Scattered
Multiple angles
Reflected
Day
Night
Broken victories?
Vain glory?
Refuge in thy self!
Where is Buddha?
Only laughing Buddhas around!
Peels of laughter
Pitted against
Fractured tears!
