Honest discussions - even and perhaps especially on topics about which we disagree - can help us resist hypocrisy and arrogance. They can also help us live up to the basic ideals, such as liberty and justice for all, on which our country was founded.

Born Free

This is not, this is not,
Not, the Country, I once knew,
Where each day we strived for better.
Where World's freedom quickly grew,
This is not my dearest Country,
One where heads were held so high,
And for Liberty and Justice,
We were all willing to die.

Class division, nonexistent,
We were all just citizens,
Democratic, coexistence,
And a helping hand to lend.
We must now get back our courage,
No to handouts, flabbiness,
You cannot keep up a country,
Just by doing less and less.

Hear ye, hear ye, small and mighty,
This is now a wake up call,
We must reconstruct this Country,
For the World and for us All,
We are all together born free,
Liberty, must never fall.

The Use Of The Word 'and

How did you use the word

'and'?

Like part and parcel
Like twins, same faces
With no meaning at all.
In all likeness

But I see how it is
Used in your country,

Liberty and equality,

How come? Did you not
Shiver with the way
How they are paired?

There may be liberty
But where is equality?
Or is it not an irony
That both in the context
Of “and”
they do not exist
at all

As free and equal?

this
liberty and justice

for all

i am
Just asking.

This nation was conceived in liberty and dedicated to the principle - among others - that honest men may honestly disagree; that if they all say what they think, a majority of the people will be able to distinguish truth from error.

Justice And Peace For All

We are fighting for justice and peace for all,
And our young men are answering the call.
They are giving their lives for you and for me,
On land, in the air, and out on the sea.
They are brave and strong, and have faith in God.
And are fighting for the land their forefathers trod.
If they can fight for justice and peace.
Let's not let our efforts cease. Let us back home, toil-from light to dark
So our boys, can hit their mark,
This justice and peace, although it is old,
Is a tale that years and centuries unfold.
Our country was founded upon this claim,
And it's our privilege to keep it the same.
This was and conflict, I know will soon end.
For justice and peace; to God are akin.

Iraqi Freedom

They have brought Saddam to justice and handed freedom back
Or at least that is what you tell me to the people of Iraq
But i always thought that freedom included freedom to live free of fear
Whilst every day from Iraq of more deaths through violence we do hear.

If you think Iraq is such a great place to live in you should try living there
And with the basic freedoms that you now enjoy your notes you can compare
For you do not seem enlightened on matters of liberty
On your ideas of Iraq i for one could not agree.

And your ideas of freedom seem quite laughable to me
How can one even know of basic freedom if of fear one can't live free
You should spend your next holiday in Iraq with your wife and family
Otherwise your ideas of freedom i cannot take seriously.

When you talk of Iraqi freedom talk is cheap and words are easily said
The only news we hear from Iraq is of more Iraqi dead
As a holiday destination Iraq i would not recommend
Unless of course you are suicidal and you wish your life to end.

Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy

I wanted to sit and write today-but I did not know what to say.
Then a thought came to me. Why don’t I write about hypocrisy?
The hypocrisy of man leaves you to wonder.
Will this country make another blunder?
Will we continue in this Arab war where we are despised/
Will we choose to live a lie?
They say Americans shed their blood for you and me.
We all know its hypocrisy.
Men in uniform no longer fight the world wars.
People who want to hide what they are Moreover, what they say and do is because of me and you. Our service members and women still use our uniforms with pride
It is something that we can’t deny.
I could see it in my mind-the older politician telling the younger one.
“Let the road take its course” we are the trainers and they are the horse.
They will go where we lead them-that is why we are leaders.
The politicians of all nations should hide their heads in shame.
They search for all that they can gain.
They all try to line their pockets
They’ll pull your eyeballs from their sockets.
Then you cannot see all their hidden hypocrisies.
People will believe for a short period
While it weighs on their mind.
They have to tell the politicians that they will not follow
Like sheep to a slaughter so they could make a quarter.
We must tell them that we are tired as can be-living in hypocrisy.

My Pledge of Allegiance

We Pledge allegiance to a Flag, symbolizing liberty and justice for all~Proclaiming one nation under God, yet we help other countries fall.

With power and weapons for justice we sing~while death, pain, and sorry is all that we bring. To the republic for which it stands~this Flag should fly high in many lands.

A mask created using Gods name, I look at our country and sometime feel shame. Liberty and justice for all we do say, while war is our solution we kill everyday.

We send our children to war seeking global democracy~In Gods name, we do say this should not be. Nationwide cries, screams for Mercy, who has the power? The land of the FREE!

Is this justice I ask, that we are fighting for, or legalized slavery forever more.

We pledge our allegiance to a flag, symbolizing liberty and justice for all~One Nation for which it stands should include all countries big and small.

As you wave your flag with a gun in your hand~the pledge I shall make is to the creator of this land. I pledge my allegiance to God up above; and pray that someday your Pledge will mean love.

*I know at times war is necessary; however It still hurts my heart to see so much sadness, pain, destruction, and violence! It is time for change...Many blessing and prayers for all of our soldiers, and their families.

Change is needed

In 1776, people died for freedom, liberty, Justice
People say it’s what this country was built on
It’s all a lie this country was built on the very things
The pilgrims wished to leave behind
Built on the backs of people sold for trinkets
And as time went on people who looked more and
More like me my fore fathers built this country
Yours watched but that was long ago
So why do we fight only to destroy their work
Our home so why can’t we hold our siblings hand
Only for a few minutes a brief walk just little things
To instill equality, justice, and change
If tomorrow has come then let’s fix where out fore fathers
Went wrong let’s do it for us

Liberty Needs Glasses

excuse me but lady liberty needs glasses
and so does mrs justice by her side
both the broads r blind as bats
stumbling thru the system
justice bumbed into mutulu and
trippin on geronimo pratt
but stepped right over oliver
and his crooked partner ronnie
justice stubbed her big toe on mandela
and liberty was misquoted by the indians
slavery was a learning phase
forgotten with out a verdict
while justice is on a rampage
4 endangered surviving black males
i mean really if anyone really valued life
and cared about the masses
theyd take em both 2 pen optical
and get 2 pair of glasses

You Have No Morals

The preachers of hate claim they hate the west,
While on their moral throne they sit,
Yet they'll take our money when put to the test,
Their ideals are straight from a pit.

If they really hate us why do they stay,
Don't you find it sickeningly funny,
They abuse our system then cause us affray,
But love taking our hard earned money.

Hypocrisy in terrorists will forever remain,
They are cowards every one,
Like their masters they're completely insane,
As for principles truth is they have none.

They have no scruples or moral code,
Their cowardice is for all to see,
Bravery to them is too heavy a load,
They wouldn't know the meaning of free.

To murder innocents is a total disgrace,
It's a cowardly and heinous act,
When you meet your maker he will say to your face,
Hell's where you're heading that's a fact.

The people you claim to represent,
Are very few and far between,
Decent people think you're ideals are bent,
With terrorist scum they wouldn't be seen.

If you truly detest the way we are,
Your choice is crystal clear,
Leave our country and travel afar,
But that thought just fills you with fear.

If you detest us as people the way you claim,
Return to the country you adore,
We will never allow you to achieve your aim,
Your ideals are rotten to the core.

You insult our freedom and our way of life,
Go elsewhere to have your quarrels,
The fact you can take from the people you hate,
Proves to us,

‘' You Have No Morals ‘'

The Justice

Where is the justice in this world?
where is the justice? I feel bored
I need the justice only, please.
Answer me to breathe with ease.

If the justice appears tell me!
please, I want to breathe.
without the justice I cant live
Yeah! we all cant live.

If the injustice disappeared
You will find the justice appear.
Answer me, answer now.
So, we can live peacefully right now.

Where is the justice in this world?

It Is The Restriction To Limits I Resist

I see nothing wrong,
With anyone being idealistic.
It is the restriction to limits I resist.

And anyone voicing their opinion on this...
Would be hard pressed to convince me,
Of their experiences.

Especially If I suspect,
Their minds are closed to adventures.
And they reject a life with premeditated objections.

That is not living.
That is a fear to live.
What is the point of having the gift of life...
If someone hides from it,
To be convinced which way to live is right!

If I chose to be restricted,
I would first live,
To then create those ideals.

Justice...

… Slow Justice
Is Better Than No Justice
… I Just Want Justice and Peace

To Feel Justice
It Must Be Real Justice
Not Cut-Deals Or Just A Piece

Full Justice
Not Pull The Wool Justice
She’s Already Been Blindfolded Enough

We Accuse Justice
But To Lose Justice
Is To Unlock Chaos’ Cuffs

Justice …
Is Lustrous
In Pearls Of Conviction Displayed

Justice …
The Huntress
Were Wild-Wily-Wrongs Are Caged

A Cry For Justice
Is Why Justice’s
Scales-Weights Shouldn’t Be In Doubt

Legal Justice
Be Equal Justice
With Rules To Balance It Out

Honest Justice
Promise Justice
Is Right For The Poor and Oppressed

But Even Rich Justice
And Even Quick Justice
Should Be A Standard, Silvered Process

Raw Justice
Shouldn’t Be Flawed Justice
But Free To All Everywhere

The Power Of Justice
Is That The Hour Of Justice
Doesn’t Run Out Of Time Anywhere

Men Must Court Justice
And Support Justice
To Qualify For Her ‘Your’ Honor

And Seek Justice
And Speak Justice
And Be A Worthy Defender Word-Warrior

Some Have Burned Justice
Some Have Spurned Justice
In The Lies That They Have Sworn

Some Have Raped Justice
Then Gaped At Justice
Laid Bare Like Loss Innocence In Porn

Oh Sweet Justice
Don’t Beat Justice
We Are In Races But We Shouldn’t Fight

Some System Of Justice
Has Idealism Of Justice
But The Whole World Needs To Get It Right …

Then True Justice
And Overdue Justice
Will Be The Law Of Every Land & Life

Without Justice
You Can Count Justice’s
Tears Rolling Down In Strife

The Hope Of Justice
And Scope Of Justice
Is That Justice Answers To GOD

The Mercy Of Justice
And Courtesy Of Justice
Will Be The Final Plea Bargain LORD …
