Transfered Justice
Irony?
Sarcasm!
What thy ugly face spread
To bestride optimistic culture
In conglomerate filth
Of justice bought.

Real art is without irony. Irony distances the author from his material. Irony is a product of something. It's not the reason for doing something. Irony is a cheap shot.

A Natural Reaction
A reprobate? Who, me?
What's up with that?
Don't ask me to cozy up
and be your pal, please!
If I wanted, I could wreak
havoc on the whole crew!
By the way, can you define
irony for me?
Yes, I said irony!
I don't think you understand
the uses of irony, do you?

Because of You
Because of you
I’m angry all the freakin’ time
Because of you
I’m always wary
Because of you
I lost my virtue
Because of you
I am broken
Chorus
Now we’re here
And no way
Will I give in to you
Now we’re here
My only weapon
Is sarcasm
Now we’re here
And I don’t want
What you started with me that day
Now we’re here
And I think
Who gives a crap anyway
End chorus
To you
I’m exposed
To you
I’m a quick target
But you will see
I’m not that easy
There’s more complications
That come with this confident girl
Now we’re here
And no way
Will I give in to you
Now we’re here
My only weapon
Is sarcasm
Now we’re here
And I don’t want
What you started with me that day
Now we’re here
And I think
Who gives a crap anyway
And I stand by and think
What’s the deal here
I never bothered you then
I don’t bother you now
And you started it
And all your friends laugh
Like no one’s watching
And I realize they aren’t
And I don’t want to tell
It’ll urge you on
But I can’t take this anymore
Now we’re here
And no way
Will I give in to you
Now we’re here
My only weapon
Is sarcasm
Now we’re here
And I don’t want
What you started with me that day
Now we’re here
And I think
Who gives a crap anyway
Justify
To add justice,
I did not scream nor cry,
I instead called,
“Irony.”
Yes,
Irony.
The strange noun that bites and slaps when least expected.
So, to justify,
I called Irony.
I would like it to be shown, to the court at least, that I did nothing wrong,
nor nothing right.
I called his name,
when he was gone from sight.
I whispered my wisdom,
to a deaf and blind old fool,
I gave my only love,
To one who would never love at all.
So,
To justify,
I believe I did not lose,
I just didn't win.
That is often the case with irony.

0017 The ironic, the sarcastic, the sardonic...
These weapons of literary abuse
so prevalent in the 17th and 18th century days
of literary gents in coffee-houses
have fallen into desuetude
these amicable days
but for the sake of Eng. Lit. studies
it might be useful
to run them through:
they have Greek roots
which we should know; it keeps them tidy
in the first-aid box of the literary mind:
there’s irony: that’s from the Greek
meaning ‘simulated innocence’;
in practice, saying the opposite
of what you mean; the Greeks
used it in tragedy – the man who says all’s fine and dandy
as the black cloud of disaster gathers;
we use it more for humour; as in
‘ you’re a right barrel of laughs, Mona..’
then there’s sarcasm: in Greek, wow,
to tear the flesh; gnash the teeth,
or simply to speak bitterly;
using irony (as above) , to express contempt:
‘that meant to be funny, then…? ’
and the sardonic: Homer used it
to describe bitter, mocking laughter,
which for undisclosed reasons
was associated with the people of Sardinia..
Imagine, perhaps, a tinful
of no-head-to-no-tail sardines
able to read their label..

Midnight Thunderstorm
Thunderstorm at midnight
Is like the lord’s laughter at our plight
Raising an alarm
Defeating a scream
Endless roar into the horizon’s reach
Coming from the heart that hears every fall
Be it the proverbial slip or a crashing fortune that stood tall
A new sense awakens in the dark
While the rain drops keep bleeding the breeze
A wink from above
Shows the way to them with ease
White painting the dark streets with streaks
It keeps coming down till the souls are clean
Generous sarcasm directed from above
Saying how long you can be ignorant about the dirt
The one we keep adding to the layers within our shirt
Irony fails, Irony prevails
We sleep and he mocks our travails
Thunder beats every now and then
We are deaf till eternity
Avoiding what is already on offer
Living on the illusion of totality
Disentangle, wake up and breathe
From the middle of this mind’s wreck less dream
-A thunderstorm sweeps my midnight don’t know how it got out of my mind…

I Stop And Wait/For A Poem
I Stop And Wait/ For A Poem
I stop and wait
For a poem.
The poem does not come
The city says ‘Morning beauty’
The silence is a sadness unsayable -
Light is lovely
Isn’t it?
Irony Irony Irony-
I write these lines
As if I actually believe
I am writing poetry
And doing something.

A taste for irony has kept more hearts from breaking than a sense of humor, for it takes irony to appreciate the joke which is on oneself.

Not So Little- Little Boy
I wonder if it intended irony
Or sarcasm meant, perhaps
For ‘Little Boy’ it is so-called
And a devilish feat
He portrayed, hundreds of thousands
Allay as deep. Aye! No words endorsed
And I still wonder, like I marvelled
Then, a joke? I couldn’t laugh
It slandered out and that was all
Whats next? I merely reasoned
Mama made me run, naked
As I wondered, where my clothes?
Then I moaned and hushed it
I dozed and wondered if I did
‘Cause real as fire, not funny yet
I whimpered with soundless cries
Treaded on men as i moved, heads
Said sorry but who did judge?
Now phases have passed though
Agony still sears, I still wonder
Why ‘little boy’ they called it
If little was not comparable
For my nation is perishing since
Curse upon thee, I say.

Can't Really Get Enough Of Love Babe
once i have it, there is this irony, i give it away,
i wish, i dream, i work to have what i do not have yet
once it is in my hand, there is this irony, i throw it away.
the paradox of feelings, i had this joy, long time ago, and
i let it go, and i wish it comes back to me, like a memory of someone
too far away, i spend life like it is not life at all, i wish death, like death is life,
like it is not like, this is the irony of my life,
hating and loving and hating and loving, until, everything is gone
i have nothing and then i feel so complete.

Irony of Things
It is an irony to believe that Ayothya
Is the birth place of Rama, as by the time
When Rama lived around 1450 B.C.,
Aryans never crossed Punjab or beyond.
It is an irony to say that Mathura
Is the birth place of Krishna, as by the time
When Krishna lived around 900 B.C.,
Aryans never reached up to Mathura.
It is an irony to establish that Durga,
A Dravidian origin, fostered later by Aryans,
Is the destroyer of Sura padman,
An asura, a co-dravidian, among Dravidians.
It is an irony that the very Dravidian
Movement has landed in the hand of a Brahmin
And then at a hand who too had mortgaged the interest
To Aryan for sake of his dynasty.

Wedded Bliss at Christmas Time
Irony of Ironies there is wedded bliss
The time of giving and receiving
The time to see the down-troddened, the disenfranchised
Opening presents with gleefulness
Bringing change to family systems
Whoa what a christmas
Enveloping riches, embracing harmony
Loving, hating, giving, receiving
Oh Irony of Irony
Lets celebrate the day withe gladness and joy
Gratitude and mercy
Finding unity in our family of choice

Only Two Fools Will Enjoy An Endless Argument
Advice.
Whether accepted or not.
If you do something for someone...
Do it and let it go.
Without making reservations,
In anticipated expectations.
Advice.
Whether accepted or not.
Listen to those you believe to be fools.
There is much to learn...
In the avoidance of ignorance.
But let it flow from the lips first.
Any interruptions introduces an argument.
And when was the last time anyone won an argument,
With a fool?
Only two fools will enjoy an endless argument!

I am a murderer.
Shadow of Death, lurks on my way.
I can hear him snickering.
Coming up for me, because
I am a murderer.
Death coming up for me,
With penance for my errs,
Murder jolted for sarcasm
Murder resiled by fling.
Nor hands, nor ropes or knives
For a gift of death and pain,
I’m sorry I couldn’t stop me.
Before I saw your young body dropp slowly,
I’m a murderer, murder for sarcasm.
I killed you in my womb,
A deliberate female foetus termination
I’m a murderer,
Shadow of Death, lurks on my way.
