A year ago I had a back injury and followed a good nutrition program to help speed up my recovery. I focused on exercise and staying healthy in order to get back out on the ice.

I have my parents to thank for that, they raised me to be active and play all sports. They taught me the importance of staying healthy, being focused and setting goals in whatever I do.
President Kennedy
(sleepy john estes)
Late one friday evening everybody was sad
We lost the best president we ever had
But hes gone home, gone back home
Hes staying away too long
Rode from town to town holdin up for our rights
Some low down rascal took the presidents life
But hes gone home, gone back home
Hes staying away too long
Mrs. kennedy got a mansion on the island, stayed 9 months, all shed be
She have another mansion, soon as she reach washington, d.c.
But hes gone home, gone back home
Hes staying away too long
Everybody votes, they dont know whats goin on
If goldwater get it, we wont have no home
But hes gone home, gone back home
Hes staying away too long
While horses and cars all in a row
I think mr. kennedy have a right to this long white robe
But hes gone home, gone back home
Hes staying away too long

Fast Food Plan
Drive up to a window. Buy yourself a meal.
Think before you order. Get the biggest deal.
Eat it while you're driving. Boy does this taste good.
Throw away the wrappers just the way you should.
Back again tomorrow. I'll take a number 2.
Now I've got the combo. This is something new.
Brought a coupon with me. Saved me quite a lot.
Looked into the mirror. My stomach's like a pot.
Lookin' at the menu. Try a healthy meal.
So much salad in it. This is no big deal.
Rather have some fries. The oil's better now.
So why do I feel queasy and bigger than a cow?
Maybe just a milkshake. Nothing else today.
Milk is always healthy. That is what they say.
Good thing it's the weekend.Have some time to cook.
Feeling better already. This is all it took?
Here's the Sunday paper. WOW! Now here's a deal.
Buy 2 get one free plus a Happy Meal.
Back to work tomorrow. Take these coupons too.
This is so much easier. 'Give me a number 2.'

The downside isn't really injury, fear of injury or the process of fighting back from injury. The downside, the very worst thing in the world, is surgery.

Back To Home..
How far and wide we travel,
Our heart is always at home.
How great and small we are,
Our heart yearns for the known.
How healthy and weak we feel,
Our heart looks for our folks,
Wherever we go and whatever we do,
We have to be back, to home.
Nothing wrong to be alone,
But we can't be on our own.
When we are the members of the societies,
How do we say that we are alone?
When healthy we can stay alone,
When wealthy, we may stay alone,
When we are ill, we need people,
When we are poor, we need people,
Nothing wrong in staying alone,
When we are healthy, wealthy and confident,
Everything will be wrong,
When we are ill, broke and insecure,
When we avoid the people,
When we are healthy, wealthy and confident,
They will certainly avoid us,
When we are ill, broke and insecure,
but the family that stay at home,
waiting for you to welcome,
Wherever we go and whatever we do,
We have to be back, to home.

Good To Be Back
Written by pam reswick/steve werfel
Background vocals: natalie cole
Let me look at you, just look at you
Youre a sight for sore eyes, yes you are
If you knew how many nights I spent holding you so tight
Then Id wake up and were still apart
Now youre really near and Im really here
And I can wrap my arms around you, yes I can
This is just like I remember, no I think its even better
Maybe even more than I can stand
Baby, its good to be back, so good to be back
Baby, its good to be back in your arms again
Baby, its good to be back, so good to be back
Honey, its good to be back with you, oh yeah
Well its not the first time weve been apart
But as far as Im concerned its the last
I dont care what we have to do to stay together from now on
But those days away from you are past
cause when I go through the day and I havent seen your face
Seems like nothing that I do feels right
Youre the one I wanna see when I wake up every day
Youre the one I wanna kiss goodnight
Baby, its good to be back, so good to be back
Baby, its good to be back in your arms again (ooh)
Baby, its good to be back, so good to be back
Honey, its good to be back with you
So good, so good, so good, so good, so good with you, baby
So good with you
Why dont you start me up with just one kiss
Thats just one of the things Ive missed
You better kiss me once again til it finally settles in
Well, I think I could get used to this
Baby, its good to be back, so good, so good to be back, real good
Baby, its good to be back in your arms again, I just got to say it
Good to be back, so good to be back
Honey, its good to be back with you
Baby, its good to be back, feels mighty good to be back
Baby, its good to be back with you
Baby, its good to be back, so good, so good to be back
Aw honey, honey its good to be back with you
And its so good to be back, aw sing it girls
Yeah, good to be back, I like the way you sang
Baby, its good to be back in youre arms again
Sang, sang, sang, sang
And its so good to be back...

Strange Sounds
My recovery is my recourse and accomplishment,
So may people thrive on the words of the press,
Wheeling on feet of so strange sounds
That the feeling of the words is resonant.
One felt too much action in the days of old,
That yesteryear of surprise and endeavor,
These masters who believe in the slaves of happiness.
My joy recreates the old music, as the offerings
Order me to answer the press, and the printers who play
Like the whispers of the old road,
Recoveries offer me a grand old tune.
Playing on the piano masters my sound
For this melody of the air fixes on my face
And back, loving me and my recovery.

Taking It Back
I've been away so long I hardly knew the place
Its been too long since I've been gone
Just like a rolling stone I aint got no home
But my boys are back in town
It's been two long years since I've been on the run
From lawyers lovers monies and a lawmans son
You thought it was the last that you heard of me
But you better back up to catch up with me
Cause I'm livin in the fast lane
Speedin like a speed train
Just before I fall, just before I fall off the track
Taking it back
Im taking it back
Taking it back
You took it away took it away
All I can say is we're taking it back
Ive been away so long its good to see your face
Barkeep wont you buy me a round?
We'll raise a glass to the good times past
Then we'll dance this damn place down
Taking it back(Repeat 3x)

Oh Sunshine
OH SUN SHINE
ARE YOU COMING BACK SOON
AND WILL YOU BE STAYING THE AFTERNOON
CAUSE SUNSHINE
I`M TIRED OF DROWING IN THE RAIN
WITH MY LONELYNESS THAT REMAINS
SO SUN SHINE ARE YOU COMING BACK SOON
AND WILL YOU BE STAYING THE AFTERNOON
CAUSE SUNSHINE WITHOUT YOU I`M BLUE
AND TIME DOESN`T MOVE
IT`S WHERE I LOSE MY GROOVE
SO SUNSHINE ARE YOU COMING BACK SOON
AND WILL YOU BE STAYING THE AFTERNOON
CAUSE I`M TIRED OF DROWING IN MY SADNESS
AND SUNSHINE WHEN YOU DO SHINE
YOU TAKE AWAY MY MADNESS
BY LIGHTING UP MY DAY
AND CHASING THE RAIN AWAY
SO SUNSHINE WILL YOU BE COMING SOON
AND WILL YOU BE STAYING THE AFTERNOON
OH SUNSHINE

(Don't Go Back To) Rockville (edit)
Looking at your watch a third time waiting in the station for a bus
Going to a place thats far, so far away and if thats not enough
I know it might sound strange, but I believe
Youll be coming back before too long
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
And waste another year
At night I drink myself to sleep and pretend
I dont care if youre not here with me
Cause its so much easier to handle
All my problems if Im too far out to sea
But something better happen soon
Or its gonna be too late to bring you back
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
And waste another year
Its not as though I really need you
If you were here Id only bleed you
But everybody else in town only wants to bring you down and
Thats not how it ought to be
I know it might sound strange, but I believe
Youll be coming back before too long
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
And waste another year
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
Dont go back to Rockville
And waste another year

School is Back In
School is back in,
I hope it is a good year.
I hope I have the classes I wanted.
I hope I get to see my friends a lot this year.
I hope I got good teachers this year.
I hope no one calls me my sister’s name this year.
School is back in.

Full Speed Ahead
Full speed ahead my child
God is right by your side
Full speed ahead my child
Hate will not come close to
Where love abides
Full speed ahead my child
No turning back
You've got nothing to hide
And He is on your side
Full speed ahead my son
You've changed the course of history
Something never thought could be done
Go forth in peace my child
Let not pride in your heart abide
Stand firm in your beliefs
As others watch in disbelief
Now full speed ahead my child
Do your job with pride
Thus saith the Lord!
For he has spoken
And his words can never be broken
As you go full speed ahead
Tarry for the living and not for the dead
Don't forget to keep the Lord in view
No matter what valley you might be travelling through
Go forth in peace my child
Full speed ahead
You are Barack Obama
Born to lead
No longer will you be judged by your color or creed
So full speed ahead
Never look back
God is taking you on a journey
He has got your back!

3 Years
The first year was great
jokes and laughs
games and retardedness
That summer was even better
staying up late
texting all day
showers over the phone
what more can we ask for?
The second year was wow
not so many jokes
less laughs
i dont even know what happened to the games
or to the retardedness
i think a good question should be...
What happened to you?
The summer started off shakey
yea we talked
but there was a big white wall in between us
or better yet a girl
she liked you so much
and yea i guess you liked her too.
The middle of the summer started getting better
we had the jokes and laughs
but still no games or retardedness
we were still missing alot.
Towards the end of the summer
we had everything
man was i happy
We were best friends again
the jokes and the laughs were awesome
and the games and the retardedness was back!
The third year is starting now
its going good so far
we still have everything
but....
The first year was better
and that summer was the best!

Vegas 2000
Year 2000 early spring,
I was staying in
the “City of Sin”.
Staying in hotel
called the “Stratosphere”,
I went to the top,
and looked down with fear.
Now I heard Tom Cruise
took the sky jump down,
I’m afraid of heights,
I don’t want to break my crown,
better to walk around the town.
We walked down the stip,
looking at all things hip,
like the Treasure Island ship.
That was some kind of a show,
a spectacular in itself
with things a glow.
Now many sights we did see,
like 2 parrots flying to their
masters as pretty as can be.
All good things do come to an end,
I had to get back home with my friend.
A baby was crying on the plane
now my birthday was that very day.
I gave her my doll Melodie,
she stopped crying but wouldn’t
give her back to me.
So I played to her like Melodie
needed to sleep by counting sheep,
she then smiled and gave me a wink.
That little incident made my trip,
I should put into a cartoon strip.
