When Rick told me he was having trouble with his wife, I had to laugh. Not because of what he said, but because of a joke I thought of. I told him the joke, but he didn't laugh very much. Some friend HE is.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter XXII: Laugh

there's laugh, forced laugh
laugh, gentle rejection without word
laugh, looking sympathy with laugh
laugh but actually doesn't laugh
hiding anger, hiding pain
cheerful laugh but alone inside
why you try hard to impress people?
tired and wounded more
laughing your foolish joke
and crying life in the dark room
laugh for yourself
laugh with your heart
and you'll never regret to try an honest laugh

It Is A Joke

it is a joke
and it will always be
a joke

that how it is,
it is a joke, my own joke, and i laugh
when i remember it,

i send it to you and you send it back
like a ping-pong ball
it bounces and i see it coming
back to me

it hits me right in my eyes
got double vision, cross-eyed

i am hurt. It is not a joke anymore.
it is here beside
a tear, a bruise, stained and scarred.

Your Smile For Me

Your smile could change my mood.
And that time I used to feel so good.
And your smile could even make me smile.
Although I was crying I would laugh for a while.

Funny thing and jokes, which I used to tell.
You would laugh and my jokes never did fail.
I am sorry that I never laughed with you.
But still your smile means lot to me and it's true.

You didn't seem to be okay yesterday.
Your parents? ? tell me what did they say? ?
I told you joke and even made fun of myself.
I didn't hear you laughing; I know I am not deaf.

What I am making you angry? i just can't see you,
Unhappy do you even know how much I love you? ?
Are you there? ? why are you not replying? ?
Please reply, without you here I feel like dying.

If I am making you angry then fine I m going
I won't talk to you ever and I am not crying.
You told only I used to make you smile, care about
You while other made you angry and give you hated.

I m just sorry that I thought I was your everything.
Without me you would not be even breathing.
Sorry that I cared about you and tried to make you smile.
Let's see how would you live if I m gone for a while

A Joke

a joke makes me laugh
because of the twist that i have not anticipated

sometimes it is not that way
we may not want it but we even laugh without the twist
without the joke

we laugh because it has become too bitter
and there is no other possible option

I Loved the Way You Did It

Hey...
I am the joke.
And you are the teller of them.
Remember?
I do.
I will always remember your laughter.

No!
I do not accept your apology.
I like things just the way they are.
With you believing me to be a joke.
And the laughter those jokes at my expense,
Would bring...
I do not wish it any other way.

You have no idea,
Just how inspiring you have been.
Hey...
I am the joke.
And you are the teller of them.
Remember?
I do.
I will always remember your laughter.
By all means...
Continue.

I loved the way you would laugh at me,
In the presence of others.
Can you still do that?
I loved the way you did it.

No.
Please.
You are spoiling my fun.
Don't apologize.
Laugh at me.
Laugh at me.
I loved the way you did it

That Joke to Some

That joke told and thought funny by some...
No longer brings with it smirks.
Or the half smiles on faces.
A seriousness upon them lurks.
And they wonder...
From where the echoed laughter comes,
Surrounding their startled hearts.
The sound of it frightens.
And unfamiliar to anyone!
Has something once done to undermine...
Discovered it was them all this time?
Finding it a thrill to haunt their minds,
This time.

Someone amongst them has elected to stun!
Someone victimized by their tactics...
And missed with them to have their fun.
And that joke told and thought once funny by some?
Seems to now only satisify just one...
Who masquerades in a vengeance of delight.
Knowing their misdeeds done then...
Keeps them in cold sweats in taunted sleepless nights.
Fearing 'what' or 'who' has found whatever they did offensive.
They have forgotten which joke had been told.
And which 'fool' they picked...
They believed then had been defenseless!

Serious

(Alice Cooper / Bernie Taupin / David Foster / Steve Lukather)
When I look back at my time at the track
And I played and I played and I played and I was
Shooting the craps at the back of Fat Jack's
Come on fade me Jake
I'm a Las Vegas dreamer they took to the cleaners
A bath what a bath what a bath I'd take
A fish on a hook I was rattled and shook 'cause I lost my stake
I took that serious
All of my life was a laugh and a joke
And a drink and a smoke
And then I passed out on the floor
Again and again and again and again and again
I'm a gambling fool with a roll and cue
Wanna play wanna play wanna play with me
Put my ass on the line rubbed my nose in the grime
And they picked me clean
The chance and the game drove Old Silkly insane
What a pain what a strain on my brain it was
A fish on a hook I was rattled and shook 'cause I lost my stake
I took that serious
All of my life was a laugh and a joke
And a drink and a smoke
And then I passed out on the floor
Again and again and again and again and again
Serious it was serious oh so serious
Serious it was serious oh so serious
All of my life was a laugh and a joke
And a drink and a smoke
And then I passed out on the floor
Or a friend
Again and again and again and again and again
All of my life was a laugh and a joke
And a drink and a smoke
And then I passed out on the floor
Or a friend
Again and again and again and again and again and again
And again and again and again and again and again
And again and again

A Sense Of Humor

listen to a joke
just listen and then don't mind the face of the teller
just listen and then something clicks
and you catch something funny
and you laugh

keep the joke and dissect it
let is stay
retell it to yourself or even to your friend
retell it how many times to him
and let him write it

you see there is no click anymore
something funny was lost
because you want to keep it
because you want to let it stay in you

one thing with a joke is that it must
always be something new
one that you have not heard before
i tell you, it is just like a poem

thereis this switch, a clicking
and then something happens

how can you tell it? you can't
tell it and then it is gone

You Think Its A Joke

You thinks its a joke, i find no reason,
Why i should laugh at you.
You think its a joke to take advantage
Of the life that supports you.
Push and push. suppress the weaker ones
You find two words, with emotions you are numb.
You think the world revolves around the things you buy.
I think of lonliness that you will die.
I want to defend defenseless, let the meek inherit the earth.
And your intelligence give you nothing to mask your ignorance.
If theres a god above to judge whats right and wrong.
Your careless attitude will soon be gone.
You thinks its a joke, i find no reason,
Why i should laugh at you.
You think its a joke to take advantage
Of the life that supports you.
You think its a joke
You think its a joke
I want to defend defenseless, let the meek inherit the earth.
And your intelligence give you nothing to mask your ignorance.
If theres a god above to judge whats right and wrong.
Your careless attitude will soon be gone.
You think the world revolves around the things you buy.
I think of lonliness that you will die. you will...
You thinks its a joke, i find no reason,

How To Make You Funny?

How to make you funny?
And you are always funny,
You hide it and
It is still funny,
And that makes me laugh.

How to make you serious?
And you can not be serious,
Funny is funny,
And being seriously funny is not that funny,
And you laugh.

How to tell you a joke?
And you are the funniest joke
That makes you more funny and serious
While you are drinking and thinking
At the risk
Of spilling the juice of your lips
At my laugh.

I always laugh the hardest at the stuff you see in day-to-day life. It's great when somebody can tell a joke that really makes you laugh hard, but to see some kind of personal interaction that no one could write is so good. Those are always the things that make me laugh.

The Beast In Me

To smile, I smile,
To laugh, I laugh,
But in me,
Hate breads,
A desire so confound,
In me another fire burns,
To hate is my curse inside,

To joke, I joke,
Humor is my liking,
In me,
Am drowned,
With a desire to kill,
Even those that I love,

In me,
A beast takes rest,
That’s my love,
From it my peace is derived,
From it I can`t run,
Coz in me it dwells.

Their Actions Never Made Sense

'What is the matter?
You look as if you've been told a joke? '

No.
But you can look at it that way.
I just spoke to a fool.

'Oh? '

Yeah.
Accused me of being aloof and distant.
As if I thought I was better than the others.
As if I did not want to be bothered with them.

'You're not talking about those same people?
Why don't you just ignore them? '

I try but I can't.
It was great when they ignored me,
And walked around with their noses in the air.
In fact,
I welcomed it
They believed me to be beneath them.

'What changed? '

I guess they discovered I didn't care.
And I was totally happy with peace of mind.

'Is that why you're smiling? '

For the most part.
I was just chastised,
For not accepting an invitation.

'Chastised?
That doesn't make a bit of sense.'

That's why I'm smiling.
I was just told,
I offended those in the clique.
You know...
The ones in the 'inner circle'?
The movers and shakers?
The same folks who announced I was a joke?

'But why are they bothering you? '

That's why I'm smiling.
It took this this long to realize they are crazed.
And 'now' that it has been validated...
They believe I am worthy to be embraced.

'That doesn't make a bit of sense! '

Would you stop saying that!
That's why I am smiling.
Their actions never made sense,
From the beginning.

My story

We were online, we talked, exchanged number
That day on, we became friends started calling each other
I was excited; you were my first friend who was girl.
I was little handsome, good looking. Then you fall

We laughed at my every joke; you told me I was great
You were the one from whom first I got appreciated.
Later we started to fall apart, you stopped giving my kissy
Then you told you had a bf. i thought it was imaginary.

It's been 2 years now and we even barely talk
why did u loved me? is it because wid ur bf u got broke up
Didn't you used me? ? That time I was with you so you refused him
Please i was not your pain removal cream

Don't care abt me, Do you know how much I was hurt that time? ?
Don't worry. Now I am used to this felling I m fine..
Don't show ur sympathy.Like before now it doesn't even hurt
You said you only were attracted to me but I was not…

Illusion and Laughter

Are illusions made to be
laughed with, laughed at,
laughed away?

Is the human comedy also
a divine comedy? Should we
not wail, but share the joke?

The children’s party conjuror
and the handkerchief, the rabbit,
the flock of doves – they’re here, then
they’re not… we laugh
at our own disbelief.

This illusion that the world is real,
and that God does not look us in the face
at every turn, in every detail –

should we laugh, acknowledging
a good joke, and ourselves the butt;
remove our own false nose, and eyes and ears,
take out the incarnation from our buttonhole
which squirts squid-ink at unsuspecting friends..

applaud the conjuror?

Waiting. As if In the Cold...Outside!

Waiting.
As if in the cold...outside!
Feeling a joke had been told.
And I knew it.
But was not suppose to admit this.
Yet feeling inside a warmth that satisfied.

I saw the picture,
Before the pieces of the puzzle...
Had to others been known.
'Something' had shown me a preview.
And I could not tell who...
Or what it was that came to chill me to the bone.

An aloneness I knew and tolerated it.
My experiences existed,
In a time I envisioned before they came to visit.
And I would wonder 'why' I was permitted,
To see, feel and touch what had yet to arrive.

Waiting.
As if in the cold...outside!
Feeling a joke had been told.
And I knew it.
But was not suppose to admit this.
Yet the older I get,
More secluded becomes my 'unique and differentness'!

I saw and knew.
But couldn't tell how.
So there I stood...
Waiting.
In the cold...outside!
Feeling a joke had been told.
But did not know 'why'...
'Something' had shown me a preview.
And I could not tell who...
Or what it was that came to chill me to the bone.

I was not alone.
Nor was I existing to live on my own.
And I knew this but did not know why,
Me?
Nothing did I do,
To welcome delusions.

Lies

Baby
What do I do
Playing my tune for you
Just to get you in the mood
Everybodys going to hollywood
Youre driving me mad
But Im smiling to the crowd instead
A lot of money is at stake, this is a hit and thats a fake
This is what you mean to me
This is what they all should see
Make a make up in a foolish style
Telling the truth by making a big lie
When I come, I come but nothings at ease
Breaking up the whole is a modern disease
Maybe you think tomorrows just a joke
Its a joke after joke after joke after joke
My love
Everythings an interview
And nothings really new
And everybodys looking for clues and you know what to do with a clue
My love
Get ready for the show
Theyre waiting and they will never go
This night is just a go
And its only for show
Dig that deal and be a millionaire
Drinking cocktails in the stratosphere
Getting jetlagged with my business friends in these supersonic wonderlands
Theres a flicker on the graphic display, first hes smiling then hes fading away
Maybe he thinks tomorrows just a joke
Its a joke after joke after joke after joke

Fantastic Climax

Those love sounds you make...
Sometimes are amusing.
And the tenderness with kisses,
I most miss.

And I don't mean to laugh,
When we are in sexual bliss.
But the last sound you made...
Reminded me of our last zoo visit.
And you were the one,
Imitating the sounds that gorilla had done!
You remember?

So don't say I am insensitive.
I didn't laugh when you moo-ed like a cow,
Last weekend.
Did I?

Nor when you told God how good it was.
And I thought then 'that' was totally out of place!
Especially to add to a fantastic climax!
