No habit or quality is more easily acquired than hypocrisy, nor any thing sooner learned than to deny the sentiments of our hearts and the principle we act from: but the seeds of every passion are innate to us, and nobody comes into the world without them.

Jean Cocteau

Beauty is always the result of an accident. Of a violent lapse between acquired habits and those yet to be acquired. It baffles and disgusts. It may even horrify. Once the new habit has been acquired, the accident ceases to be an accident. It becomes classical and loses its shock value.

Questions to Ponder

When did I ever deny loving you?
Never comes to mind.
For to deny what's true is folly.
It's only for the blind,
those who wish that they could see
would offer me sweet sympathy.

How could I ever deny loving you?
Impossible comes to mind.
For to deny what has become my plight
I have left behind.
I have learned that all I know
meant not a thing until you.

Why would I ever deny loving you?
No reason comes to mind.
For to deny it makes no sense.
I will never let it unwind.
I will keep it wound deep in my heart
and I will never let it depart.

The Passion Principle

Passion, passion, passion!
The passionate principle of my love to my lover;
I have been missing you my sweet one.
Every night i do sleep and dream of you,
Every day i do pray and remember you;
Like in every movement of mine withouit you.

This is the passion principle to my heart,
This is the love that feels my soul!
My love, my heart and my mind are always on you;
For i have been missing you my sweet one.
My lover where are you?
I need you beside me;
You are the winning urge to push me on,
And i have been thinking of you.

Passion, passion, passion!
You are to push me through the rough trials of life;
Like the passionate love beside the still waters.
We don't need to hide from each other,
For every move i make is towards you;
You are still in my heart,
You are still on my mind,
For your passionate principle are destined to me;
I have been missing you my sweet one.

Deny it with smile, deny it with silence
Deny it with elegance, deny it with distraction
Deny it with anger, deny it with challenge
Deny it with promise, deny it with comfort
Deny it with tear, deny it with emotion
Deny it with effort, deny it with cruelty
Deny it with forget, deny it with indifferent
Deny it with joke, deny it with lie

Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy

I wanted to sit and write today-but I did not know what to say.
Then a thought came to me. Why don’t I write about hypocrisy?
The hypocrisy of man leaves you to wonder.
Will this country make another blunder?
Will we continue in this Arab war where we are despised/
Will we choose to live a lie?
They say Americans shed their blood for you and me.
We all know its hypocrisy.
Men in uniform no longer fight the world wars.
People who want to hide what they are Moreover, what they say and do is because of me and you. Our service members and women still use our uniforms with pride
It is something that we can’t deny.
I could see it in my mind-the older politician telling the younger one.
“Let the road take its course” we are the trainers and they are the horse.
They will go where we lead them-that is why we are leaders.
The politicians of all nations should hide their heads in shame.
They search for all that they can gain.
They all try to line their pockets
They’ll pull your eyeballs from their sockets.
Then you cannot see all their hidden hypocrisies.
People will believe for a short period
While it weighs on their mind.
They have to tell the politicians that they will not follow
Like sheep to a slaughter so they could make a quarter.
We must tell them that we are tired as can be-living in hypocrisy.

Need To Confess

Sometimes we need to confess something,
not a crime, but a habit
and we are not sure the best way to do it.
Our confession is not a sin
though there are those
who believe it may be so.
Mine is a habit
I acquired a long, long time ago.
I have tried many times to break it
and each time I have been unsuccessful.
That doesn’t mean I am giving up
without ever trying again.
It is a problem that lots of us must live with
and a habit that is not so easy to break.

Habits...the only reason they persist is that they are offering some satisfaction...You allow them to persist by not seeking any other, better form of satisfying the same needs. Every habit, good or bad, is acquired and learned in the same way - by finding that it is a means of satisfaction.

Wonder, connected with a principle of rational curiosity, is the source of all knowledge and discover, and it is a principle even of piety; but wonder which ends in wonder, and is satisfied with wonder, is the quality of an idiot.

Karl Popper

Philosophers should consider the fact that the greatest happiness principle can easily be made an excuse for a benevolent dictatorship. We should replace it by a more modest and more realistic principle - the principle that the fight against avoidable misery should be a recognized aim of public policy, while the increase of happiness should be left, in the main, to private initiative.

What Have We Learned From History

What have we learned from history little if anything
Of war men and war heroes their praises we still sing
Humankind have come far in technology and on the moon surface have trod
And still we fight for our Nation's flag and go to war for our God.

What have we learned from history not much if you ask me
We still have wars and famines and we still have poverty
And we still have this awful thing called ethnic cleansing and we still have refugees
And we still wage war on Mother Earth and we still pollute her seas.

What have we learned from history if anything at all
Before the baby has to walk the baby has to learn to crawl
And life is just a learning curve or so we have been told
But few of those who lack wisdom in their twenties grow wiser as they grow old.

What have we learned from history we have learned to populate
And by bulldozing more virgin woodlands more diseases we create
We pollute Mother Earth who feeds us and our successes seem so few
And that the World would do nicely without us only happens to be true.

What have we learned from history go ask one wiser than I
The World is far more polluted now than when I was a boy
And history has a habit of repeating itself a wise one once did say
And I've not learned from history though I grow old and gray.

Lost Hearts Strong Hearts

how many lost hearts are in this world?
grown men and women
young boys and girls.

different hearts for different loves
all seeking the answers from above.

the lost heart when somebody
departs from this earth.
a lost heart when a woman gives birth.

the lost heart of a dream shattered
which was 'all in your life that mattered'.
the lost heart of a man for a woman
and a woman for the man
when they decide to take a stand.
but! the lost heart does not need a hand.

the human heart is the only
thing in this life, that has outlived
everything in this world.

it was placed gently in our chests
for this was where it suited it best.
it has learned all the emotions
pain, passion, heartbreak, sorrows, joy
and all that came its way
and in this world will forever stay.

Elysium

No one has said what the truth should be,
And no one decided that Id feel this way,
If you felt as i,
Would you betray yourself.
But you cant deny how I feel,
And you cant decide for me.
No one should fear what they cannot see,
And no ones to blame its just hypocrisy,
Its written in your eyes,
And how I despise myself.
But you cant deny how I feel,
And you cant decide for me.
And its your heart,
Thats so wrong,
Mistaken,
Youll never know,
Your feathered sacred self.
But you cant deny how I feel,
And you cant decide for me.
And you cant deny how I feel,
And why should you decide for me.

Living It Up

Poets inscribe their sentiments

Inspire by innate intuitive elements

Which accumulate through daily existence

In this life quite complex excites indulgence.

Singers sing out their emotions

Inspire by ardent romantic notions

Which linger in the hearts that beat

With magical feelings that blaze heat.

Both poets and singers are articulate

In expressing the intimate human state

Of the complexities yet well-meant phase

Living it up in this world as though perfect maze.

Clear Vision

O poet have a clear vision
Sooner or later you are dying
O poet have a participation
In this vibrant poetry community
Sooner or later you are dying
O poet you do not know minus
And you know only plus plus
Sooner or later you are dying
Here is your eyes here is sun
Here is bird here is song
O poet you are here with butterflies
You are here with the whirlwind
Sooner or later you are dying
O poet you are above you are below
You are behind you are a head
O poet this world is your garden
And you are blossoming here in passion
And you are making a story
O poet you have a clear vision
And you are here at this moment.

I've learned

Ive learned that to love someone doesnt have to involve pain,
Ive learned that to have a friend you must be a friend first,
Ive learned that in time youll see your mistakes and learn from them,
Ive learned that to be alone sometimes is the best thing for you,
Ive learned that in order to love a person you must feel loved,
Ive learned that if your wrong admit it or youll never forgive yourself,
Ive learned that your first love will be a part of you and you may never forget,
Ive learned that in order to move on you must fix what was first wrong,
Ive learned that if you ever mess up, you can always start over again,
Ive learned that to be 'cool' doesnt involve pressure,
Ive learned to accept what I have and be happy,
Ive learned that people will come and go so tell the ones you love how you feel,
Ive learned that to respect yourself you must respect others,
Ive learned that your actions always involve consequences whether it be good or bad,
Ive learned that priceless words can mean the world to someone,
Ive learned that sometimes being silent is the best solution,
Ive learned to expect the unexpected,
Ive learned that healing a broken heart involves tears and pain,
Ive learned to see the world in the eyes of others,
And Ive learned that each new day is a day to touch a life.

Three Principles for Success

In the old days
when I was a nobody
I needed a mentor
in order to groom me into success
into self-actualisation and to bring
all my dreams into reality
and so I found a mentor
and I learned of him the 3 principles
to success and complete achievement
And yes, since you ask,
I shall pass on to you the 3 principles
that my mentor had learned from someone before:

PRINCIPLE 1
Know what you want
PRINCIPLE 2
Never tell them all that you know

Gone To Seed

“If you plant honesty, you’ll reap trust”
Aye, the seeds of doubt have been planted,
But such doubts are a must,
If wisdom’s to be granted…..

Seeds of valor, seeds of passion,
Seeds of equanimity;
Seeds that suit every fashion,
Of learning and acuity.

Leaders who sow such seeds of doubt,
Are welcome and accounted,
Than those who’d love to flaunt,
Are ones that are so vaunted.

Where honesty is a truthful story,
Tests one’s heart and mind;
Now enough’s been said of this allegory,
Dear readers: this truth you can find!
