Barton Fink got written very quickly, in about three weeks. I don't know what that means.

8 Weeks
8 weeks to live
8 weeks to die
8 weeks is all they had
8 weeks to do the things they never did
8 weeks of fighting
8 weeks of trying to fit everything in
8 weeks of pain, suffering, and confusion
8 weeks of faking a smile
8 weeks of repetition
8 weeks of knowing they were nearing the end
8 weeks of love from friends and family
8 weeks…the shortest/longest, most hurtful/helpful weeks of their lives
8 weeks later…knowing they’ll never be able to do the things they’ve always wanted to
8 weeks later…now realizing he’ll never see her walk, at graduation nor down the aisle
8 weeks later…close friends and family now in shambles
8 weeks later…close friends and family never closer
8 weeks later…here we are

Relaxing
All year you wait for your holidays
and when they finally arrive,
time steals them so quickly
you wonder where they’ve gone.
The two weeks disappear as quickly
as you can snap your fingers.
At the beginning of your holiday,
you have so much to pack in.
You rush around here and there.
It is harder than being at work,
this trying to have some fun.
Yet we are relaxing we say,
running around in circles everyday.
At the end of the two weeks,
we are exhausted by all our fun
and look forward to work
and slowing down a pace.
That may sound crazy,
but that is exactly what we do.

Yeah, about sixteen to twenty weeks a year. For example, we can do America in six or seven weeks. You can do Europe in three weeks; England in two weeks. South America you could do in three weeks; Asia you could do in three weeks.

Mark Lloyd
my brother wants to
repeat history
i shudder to this malignant idea
but i let him
go back
perhaps he can learn
much better
now that he is
too old
to know the tricks
mark Lloyd is going to be
Fink
and there will be loud banging
and more failings
but his dad cannot hear them
as usual the silent screams
are more found in the
screen
and it is always away from
the hell of
any home
fake home
where mother is queen and dad is king
and where everyone
are but subjects
and numb
ers.
i've seen Fink move away
his face is square
but there are crooked lines
everywhere
tiny volcanoes on his face
which my
erupt soon
and cause
the flow of magma
in the comfort room
i warned his mom
but her face is a highway without any
interiors
for the meantime
there are no cars
colliding
soon, i expect something bizarre
it is Fink markig Lloyd
bloody on the street
holding a gun
filling the city with smoke.

11 Weeks
11 weeks of war and 11 weeks of peace,
11 weeks of love and 11 weeks of pain,
11 weeks of sorrow ans 11 weeks of my mind that writes;
But i need hot chili pepper from Chile and,
A rosted turkey from Turkey to rest my mind on your love.

Take What You Want
Written by John Mellencamp
Put your life on the table
Stick your money on the line
Create the situation there, one more time
Your name it means nothing
And the dreams that we live ??
And now you don't care if she is, the girl from next door
She's never been known for nothing, but a motor street whore
You don't believe nothin' that you can't see
And you see me as nothing, to me, yeah-ah yeah
You can take what you want
Take what you want
Take what you want
But just don't take it away
You can stay if you want
Stay if you want
Stay if you want
But just don't stay all day
Cause you know it means nothing, to me
Don't see much sense in lying here with you
The sex is over now, what is there left to do
Conversation, conversation baby, I don't talk that much
And now I don't know when I'm gonna see you again
I'm leaving tomorrow and this will all start again
I hope you don't believe that you was a failure ??
And you see it means nothin' to be a man
(repeat chorus 2 times)
But you know it means nothing
Yeah you know it means nothing
Yeah you know it means nothing, to me

Appreciation
MY muvver's ist the nicest one
'At ever lived wiz folks;
She lets you have ze mostes' fun,
An' laffs at all your jokes.
I got a ol' maid auntie, too,
The worst you ever saw;
Her eyes ist bore you through and through, —
She ain't a bit like ma.
She's ist as slim as slim can be,
An' when you want to slide
Down on ze balusters, w'y she
Says 'at she's harrified.
She ain't as nice as Uncle Ben,
What says 'at little boys
Won't never grow to be big men
Unless they're fond of noise.
But muvver's nicer zan 'em all,
She calls you, 'precious lamb,'
An' let's you roll your ten-pin ball,
An' spreads your bread wiz jam.
An' when you're bad, she ist looks sad,
You fink she's goin' to cry;
An' when she don't you're awful glad,
An' den you're good, Oh, my!
At night, she takes ze softest hand,
An' lays it on your head,
An' says 'Be off to Sleepy-Land
By way o' trundle-bed.'
So when you fink what muvver knows
An' aunts an' uncle tan't,
It skeers a feller; ist suppose
His muvver 'd been a aunt.

Death means Love means
Death means freedom
Love means pain
Which would you choose?
Death means rest peacefully
Love means restless motion
Which would be comfortable?
Death means life
love means death to the heart
Which one would you want?
Death means everlasting happiness
Love means confusion
Which would be more rich?
Death means rejoice with loved ones
Love means losing someone
Which would be better?
Death means peaceful dreams for forever
Love means fear of nightmares
Which would you perfer?

ACT: Goodbye
Girl: Goodbye
I always want to say it in front of you
Goodbye
And there would be no more “I love you”
Goodbye
But why though I really meant to
The pain is still haunting my soul
Guy: Goodbye
You don’t know there’s a mystery inside
Goodbye
You are a fool to quickly decide
Goodbye
When you say something you don’t want to
It will affect you most with regret
Girl: Goodbye means leaving
Guy: Goodbye means nothing
Girl: Goodbye means releasing
Guy: Goodbye means waiting
Girl: And will you forget me after
Guy: Or will I love you forever
Girl: And how if I miss you in the lonely night
Guy: I will torture you to see my face
Girl: It’s over!
Guy: Not yet
Girl: Why are you so stubborn?
Guy: Because you make it complicated
Girl: But there’s no future for us
Guy: There’s always a hope
Girl: Goodbye
I will definitely cry
Goodbye
But the tears are not going to show
Goodbye
I don’t ask to be forgiven
Because I’m the one who put this misery
Guy: Goodbye
You can’t beat me with just that
Goodbye
Don’t judge me because I have the power of
Goodbye
Though I let my beloved go
Someday I’ll bring you to my arm again
Girl: Goodbye means separate
Guy: Goodbye means “I’ll be back”
Girl: Goodbye means finishing
Guy: Goodbye means praying
Girl: And will it make you think
Guy: That you are my precious one
Girl: And when I finally disappear
Guy: That’s the time I realize I’m lost
Girl: Just be a good boy!
Guy: Why should I?
Girl: So I can say farewell
Guy: I won’t let it
Girl: You will be hurt by me
Guy: I’ll hurt more if you leave me
Girl: Goodbye
I will act so rude and cold
Goodbye
You deserved so much better
Goodbye
It’s the easier way to be apart from you
Even it’s full of lie, of lie
Guy: Goodbye
How can I live without you?
Goodbye
I don’t care what other’s said
Goodbye
But you are running away from me
Denying your true feeling
Girl: Goodbye means not anymore
Guy: Goodbye means see you later
Girl: Goodbye means sad ending
Guy: Goodbye means new beginning
Girl: And did I say to you to move on?
Guy: Only you I couldn’t go on
Girl: And someway we have another chance
Guy: I promise that you won’t slip from my fingers

The Weather Prophet
Ow can it rain.' the old man said, 'with things the way they are?
You've got to learn off ant and bee, and jackaroo and galah;
And no man never saw it rain, for fifty years at least,
Not when the blessed parakeets are flyinn' to the east!'
The weeks went by, the squatter wrote to tell his bank the news.
'It's still as dry as dust,' he said, 'I'm feeding all the ewes;
The overdraft would sink a ship, but make your mind at rest,
It's all right now, the parakeets are flyin' to the west!'

The Sock
It was early one morning
When I heard something horrible close by snoring
There, on the floor by my bed I could see
A long dark strange shape, mouth open staring at me
I had to hold my nose the smell was so foul
And as I wondered what it was, it gave a growl
So quickly I grabbed a pillow and threw it hard
Only to miss it by more than a yard
This thing was fast that's for sure
Like lightning it moved to hide behind the door
To my surprise I soon discovered
That this thing was an animal like no other
I was indeed put in a state of shock
When I identified this terrifying animal as my sock
A sock that I had worn for many weeks
And had lost but not washed and badly reeked
How I was going to catch this rodent sock I had no idea
So sat in bed thinking until it disappeared
When there was no sign of the sock to be seen
I decided quickly to prepare the washing machine
Set to ‘intensive' and with lots of soap
I waited patiently and in hope
For sooner or later the sock must appear
Drawn by curiosity and the smell of cheese and cheap beer
Sure enough I hadn't needed to wait long
For the trap was set using a cheese and beer smelling thong
It rushed around the corner and into the machine
And I quickly slammed the door and set it on clean
After two hours of being tumbled washed and dried
I took the poor fellow out who was more dead than alive
Now weeks later I'm pleased to show
Everything is back to normal as I wear my thong outside my pants wherever I go
