When I read commentary about suggestions for where C should go, I often think back and give thanks that it wasn't developed under the advice of a worldwide crowd.

Horoscope
At one time, I used to read
my horoscope every day,
just to see what the stars
had in store for me.
It always seemed that
they were writing
about someone who wasn’t me.
The things they said were going to happen
and the dates they gave all went by,
but nothing ever happened.
They even asked those who wrote it,
did we get it right?
It made me wonder if they knew
what they were doing
or was it just one big sham.
I got tired of reading them
and now only do it for a laugh,
because whatever they say
is never going to come true.
Well, at least not for me.
Therefore, if you read your horoscope
and read religiously
just take it with a pinch of salt
is the advice I give to thee.
No one can predict
what will happen just to you.
Now I just like the mystery
that each new day brings
and it is much more fun that way.

Good Advice
Open the window I need some air
So many people and theres such disorder here
Familiar faces found out lies
Turn to the street now I watch the passers by
I wonder what they recognize
And what theyd recommend to fill my days
Possessions start to wear me down
I need some good advice some good advice to wear me down
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Instead they harbor secret thoughts
They break through windows that have twice been locked
I have to walk to wear me out
I need some good advice some good advice to wear me down
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
I throw my arms and pray to leave
I gotta head for love like is inside me
My lips press tight so not to drown
I need some good advice some good advice to wear me down
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Im nervous can you help me
Give me some good advice to help me along
If I know its true
Give me some good advice to help me along
If I know its true
Give me some good advice to help me along
If I know its true
Im nervous
Give me some good advice to wear me down

It is a sad commentary of our times when our young must seek advice and counsel from ""Dear Abby"" instead of going to Mom and Dad.

But movies as much as anything developed what I thought was right and wrong, what was honorable, what wasn't, what was funny what wasn't... what had some depth to it, what didn't.

Comprehension...Or Torment
No one knows,
When we suffer.
Or how it is we suffer,
When suffering comes and is done...
By anyone
No one knows the extent of it.
How deep what is felt.
And when those sorrows visit to sit.
Although folks give advice and instructions.
With sections of pamphlets,
To read by professionals.
To emphasize their recommendations,
Underlined in 'red'.
Suggestions researched...
To read and ease our minds,
Before going to bed!
Hopefully not to stay awake...
To pace the floor instead.
No one knows,
When we suffer.
Or how it is we suffer,
When suffering comes and is done...
By anyone.
When suffering comes.
And alone it is done!
And listening to someone say to us to pray...
Is not a cure all or remedy,
That takes our suffering to numb quickly away.
But...
Pray we must,
And trust...
That those burdens carried,
Will be lifted up and away from us.
Knowing in our hearts...
God watches and will do His part!
No one knows,
When we suffer.
Or how it is we suffer,
When suffering comes and is done....
By anyone.
When suffering comes.
And alone it is done!
So it seems.
Only God knows how to heal and mend!
Only God knows when to send our sufferings away.
And many times with faith...
God intervenes.
Before the suffering has had a chance,
To arrive on the scene.
Depending on what it is we wish to choose.
Comprehension...
Or torment,
With unquestioned agony!

Let's give the conventions back to the politicians. If we think there's any news, we can tack it on afterward as commentary. But the conventions should be their show, not ours.

Suggestions
Few suggestions do I make.
Especially to those,
Who solicit them.
Most times folks await,
Suggestions they prefer and like.
And it becomes difficult,
To be both honest and polite...
With someone who tries to define,
My interpretation...
Of what I 'really' meant.
To defy in denial...
With a prepared and customary,
Excuse.
Few suggestions do I make.
Especially to those,
Who solicit them.
When I know I am honest in my assessments.
And folks aren't ready for the truth...
Unless it agrees with them.
Only to hear them say back to me,
'What makes you an authority?
Judge and jury? '
My response?
'Years experienced,
In being a complete jackass!
And it becomes easier for me to identify one!
You...
Are still in the midst of development.
And I understand that too! '

None
The only advice I would give to someone?
Someone who has not lived and yet been stung?
Someone who has not experienced obstacles,
Or believe they can live without facing one?
Or being bitten by defeat...
Even while crawling to stand onto their own two feet.
Most times doing that publicly!
And having no family or friends to plead in defense.
Or to protect or shelter agonies wept repeatedly.
Hmmm,
Lets see...
The only advice I would give to someone?
Honestly?
Would be none!
And they would eventually understand,
That was the best advice to them I gave!
No tasks are completed on free passes.
None!
Although many believe they can succeed,
By hopping the fence.
To later realize,
They have no idea what game is being played.
Or how to go about pretending they do!
Or...
To who they'll try to fool to play incompetently.
There's enough mediocrity already certifiable,
On several fields of endeavor.
So none would be my best advice to give.

The Crowd
Words and music by roy orbison and joe melson
I go out with the crowd, I play the game
Pretending out loud but it dont seem the same
For the heart of the crowd is gone from sight
My part of the crowd is not with me tonight
I remember the prom, every dance with you
All the crazy things that we used to do
Sometimes wed wait for a chance
And then wed steal away
From the crowd and the dance to our hideaway
Aww, but youre gone and its not the same old game
I fall apart each time I hear your name
Guess Ill go along with the crowd, Ill make believe
That youll come back to me, run back to me
Hurry back to the crow-ow-ow-owd a-and me-e-e-e-e.

Don't Want Nuthin' From U
I don't want nuthin' from U.
Advice or suggestion,
Or connection to the best.
I don't want nuthin' from U.
If you gave a stack of money,
I'd give right back!
I'm done.
I'm through with you.
You've lost my trust.
You make me sick to my guts.
I'm done.
I'm through with you.
Once you lie and cheat.
You wont with me repeat.
I don't want nuthin' from U.
Advice or suggestion,
Or connection to the best.
I don't want nuthin' from U.
If you gave a stack of money,
I'd give right back!
When you open your mouth,
BS comes out.
And I'm tired of that.
But to you that doesn't matter.
When you look at me,
I know you're lieing through your teeth.
And I'm tired of that.
But to you that doesn't matter.
I'm done.
I'm through with you.
Once you lie and cheat.
You wont with me repeat.
I don't want nuthin' from U.
Advice or suggestion,
Or connection to the best.
I don't want nuthin' from U.
Advice or suggestion,
Or connection to the best.
I'm done.
I'm through.
There's nothing new for us to do.
Good riddence.
Goodbye.
You lie!

People make suggestions on what to say all the time. I'll give you an example; I don't read what's handed to me. People say, 'Here, here's your speech, or here's an idea for a speech.' They're changed. Trust me.

Mountain
All these dreams and all these plans
I built them all with these two hands
Everything I've realized my dreams
The city lights shine down and they blind me sometimes
But through it all, I was lost but I found my way
So tell me what you want, cause I would give you anything
Tell me what you need and I'll go get it.
I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now
I'd give up everything and I'd forget it
Wasn't all on a mountain
When it came to me.
All my lifes' been wasted
Chasin shallow dreams
So here we are, let me lift you up and show you this world over me
And all these things, and what I've gained
And what I've seen
It can't compare to the love that you could give to me.
So tell me what you want, cause I would give you anything
Tell me what you need and I'll go get it
I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now
I'd give up everything and I'd forget it.
Wasn't all on a mountain
When it came to me.
All my lifes' been wasted
Chasin' shallow dreams
Years go by and nothing's slowing down the time
Years go by and then they're wasted.
All this time I thought that I gained everything.
If you're not mine, I'm so empty.
wasn't all on a mountain
when it came, when it came to me
But all my lifes' been wasted chasin shallow dreams
So please come back to me, I'm right here waitin.
So please come back to me, now.

I Keep My Best Advice to Myself
If I had a dime,
For those times...
I did not take my own advice,
I'd be up at least a dollar.
At least.
'That doesn't make sense.
You're saying you take your own advice,
Most of the time.'
Exactly.
The problem is this...
The people I use to give it to,
Have no clue as to its value.
And I am very protective,
Of my own investments.
That's why I keep my best advice,
To myself these days.
And somebody owes me some money,
To have it kept that way.
No more freebees!
Not here.

Heart Shaped Box
She eyes me like a pisces when I am weak
I've been locked inside your Heart-Shaped box for weeks
I've been drawn into your magnet tar pit trap
I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn back
Hey! Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey! Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Your advice
Meat-eating orchids forgive no one just yet
Cut myself on angel's hair and baby's breath
Broken hymen of your highness I'm left black
Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back
Hey! Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey! Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Your advice (x3)

Advice not to be carried out
An opinion or a peace of advice sought
Is not for adoption but for comparison
Or for mere survey. Don’t read much in it.
Advice sown is like love shown.

Give It Back
[hook:]
Give it back, give it back, give it back
(give my uh uh back)
Give it back, give it back, give it back
(give my uh uh back)
Give it back
Give it back, give it back, give it back
(give my uh uh back)
Give it back, give it back, give it back
(give my uh uh back)
[verse i:]
I thought I met a good man whose name I wont discuss
He sold me a dream that we were really in love
But I heard it on the street that you were steppin out on me
Now Im walking out that door and taking everything with me
Give it to me back
[hook]
[babys rap]
[verse 2:]
You say you want your car back and the keys to your house
But theres one thing I want before I get the hell out
No recalls, no coupon, I wants my refund
Im sorry I met you cuz boy youre not the one
[hook]
[bridge:]
I heard it, heard it on the street
You were steppin out on me
No coupons, no recalls
I want my refund, yeah
