Commend a fool for his wit, or a rogue for his honesty and he will receive you into his favor.

Dishonesty Is Given To Get And Taken
Too many are dishonest.
And living amongst themselves with it.
With a doing of this playfully,
And encouraged to remain children unfit.
To relish their immaturity and 'thick-headedness'.
Too many are dishonest.
And prepared to lie and cheat.
As witnessed by those much younger,
Practicing false beliefs...
They too one day will teach.
Too many are dishonest.
Thinking it 'cool' to fool and deceive.
And too many have grown older,
Without integrity or identities...
To leave,
Future generations...
With a solid effectiveness respected,
As a qualifying priority.
They should expect this from others...
As it is given to get and taken as received.
But this perception is not uppermost,
In minds hosting floating boats...
Circling until their throats are choked!
Since,
Dishonesty...
Is given to get,
And taken...
To receive!
Dis-honesty...
Is given to get,
And taken...
To receive!
With a feeling to fullfill a need.
Dishonesty...
Is given to get,
And taken...
To receive!

One's Selected Beliefs
Put into its right perspective...
An honesty that is and maintained.
This kind of perspective...
Isn't going to be accepted,
In a society basically fed...
On a diet of delusions.
Let's face it!
Honesty is not the thing,
People receive readily.
Nor regularly!
And for many,
Honesty is traumatic and fear producing.
Honesty chases truth away.
Truth offends.
Who doesn't know that?
Now,
With a little bit of sugar...
Some animation,
And an adult speaking in a child's voice...
Deceit, being discreet and kept secrets,
Are priorities kept and practiced.
And...
Will sustain one's selected beliefs,
Those chosen to become tradition...
For lifetimes of celebrated mystique.

Some Prefer To Keep It Frozen
Honesty can be that one gift received,
To be quickly unwrapped to wear.
With a daring that is flaunted.
And exposing it to everyone,
To prove a truth living within...
Exists and is shown everywhere.
Unfortunately...
Not everyone welcomes this gift to receive.
With a keeping it under wraps.
To pack away in one's attic.
Or...
Stored in one's basement.
To leave it frozen in a freezer,
With a thawing no one will ever see at all.
A shocking honesty and truth can awe.
A shocking honesty and truth can awe.
A shocking honesty and truth can awe.
Some prefer to keep frozen,
Never to thaw.
Honesty can be that one gift received,
To be quickly unwrapped to wear.
With a daring that is flaunted.
And exposing it to everyone,
To prove a truth living within...
Exists and is shown everywhere.
But,
Left corrupted...
A shocking honesty can awe.
To be abducted.
Shocking honesty can awe.
With none conducted.
A shocking honesty can awe.
And...
Leaving it to freeze,
Never to thaw.
A shocking honesty and truth can awe.
A shocking honesty and truth can awe.
A shocking honesty and truth can awe.
Some prefer to keep frozen,
Never to thaw.

In all honesty
In all honesty
today has been
something out of the ordinary.
In all honesty
I could do with some christmas carols
and a mug of hot chocolate.
In all honesty
walking on the road without a sidewalk
is more exhilerating than anything else.
In all honesty
watching fog settle over the road
can bring tears to anyones eyes.
In all honesty
you're the only person
I'm mostly honest to.
In all honesty
this poem
is entirely honest.

Never call a Kerry man a fool until you're sure he's not a rogue.
Kiss Me Red
I could paint your picture in the sky tonight
Your lipstick on the moon it shines so bright
Baby its full and white
Honey its full tonight
(chorus 1)
So kiss me red
Kiss me rogue
Kiss me rough
Kiss me smooth
Oh..
I could paint your picture in my room tonight
Your bodys on my mind its clear and bright
Oh but youre far away
And what I wouldnt pay
(chorus 2)
To kiss you red
Kiss you rogue
Kiss you rough
Kiss you smooth
Oh..

And Im alone in the dark
But light a candle to replace your heart
What I wouldnt give to have you here in my bed
So kiss me red
Kiss me rogue
Kiss me rough
Kiss me smooth
Oh..
To kiss you red
Kiss you rogue

Kiss you rogue
Kiss you rough
Kiss you smooth

So kiss me red
Kiss me rogue
Kiss me rough
Kiss me smooth
Oh..

I wish I lived on a planet that had two suns---regular sun and 'rogue' sun. That way, when somebody asked me what time it was, I'd say, 'Regular time' And they'd say, 'Yeah.' And I'd say, 'Sorry, all I have is rogue time.' It'd be fun to be a stuck-up rogue-time guy.

Any Other Fool
(dianne warren)
I couldnt see paradise right before my eyes
When I had you here by my side
I didnt know that no-one else
Could ever take your place
But, now I know
I know that I should have stayed
And seeing you tonight
I only wonder why
I ever said goodbye
Any other fool would never walk away
Even a fool would still be there
Holding you
Any other fool would know I never
Should have let you go
I had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me, oh, ahh, oh
Anyone else never would have let the feeling die
Anyone else would have fought to keep it alive
If they were in my shoes
Theyd know the love we had
Was love too good to lose
Any other fool would never walk away
Even a fool would still be there
Holding you
Oh, any other fool would know
I never should have let you go
I had it all when you were loving me
I had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me, oh, oh, oh
I had it all when you were loving me
I had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me
Any other fool would never walk away
Even a fool would still be there
Holding you
Oh, any other fool would know
Never should have let you go
Had it all as any fool could see
Any other fool but me
Oh, oh, oh
Even a fool would still be there holding you
Any other fool would know
I never should have let you go
I had it all as any fool could see

I Could Not Love You
There're a billion people in the world
All of them equal but of different worth
I find you to have a value equaled by no other
You are a rare and beautiful flower
But I'm sorry that I could not favor you
And make you the queen of my heart as I should
That instead I chose a different group
And I chose to favor them more than you
To favor a person means that you are two
And I'm sorry that I could not be with you
And a favored another one more fair
Although you are a true queens heir
And amongst a million kings and princesses
You always claimed that you were the fairest
And though your heart is the kindest I knew
I apologies that I could not favor you
And instead I chose to favor another
Not your equal, but not your better
I see a million faces each day but only acquaint with a few
You and I went different ways so I could not favor you
You and I once had our chance but I chose to let it go
You had no fault at all as I made the choice alone
And instead I chose to look for another
And I did favor them more than you
Although in my eyes you are a flower
I'm sorry that I could not be with you
And value you as a queen like I should
But just as I favored another more than you
Another favors you more than any other
And chose to be with you and no-other

A precious acquisition
Honesty,
A virtue so precious.
With it,
Lives are saved.
Without it,
Are lives destroyed.
Honesty,
A precious possession.
The humble,
Like a guest embrace.
The greedy,
Like an enemy they shun,
And with mud,
On its face they smear.
But the fools,
Like a stranger they fear.
Honesty,
A precious possession.
Its lovers,
To hens are metaphored,
But their ridiculers,
Are the hens themselves,
For God,
Honesty initiates and loves.
So anyone,
Who honesty champions,
Will for eternity,
God's friend remain.
Honesty,
A priceless commodity.

Give Me Honesty
She, she's been crying to me.
She, she's been trying.
She, she's been signing to me,
With words in her eyes, that says she means it!
We've often talked about the possibility
Of loving no more and setting each other free.
I can love you, just give me, honesty.
Don't take your love away from me.
We can try, we have necessities.
Chances are in our favor,
Open your heart, there it will occur.
Remember when the day was white
We shared the time, we shared the light.
Remember when the moon shone bright
We shared the time, we shared the night.
Give yourself to me and you will see,
One way to live just give me honesty.

That Has Yet To Happen
Do me a favor.
'Sure.
I'm here for you.'
Don't do me anymore favors.
That's the favor I am requesting.
Everytime you have been here for me,
Why is it I have to remind you...
Of a favor you promised to do,
That has yet to happen?
'So what are you saying?
The excuses I used,
Were not good enough for you?
And I went out of my way,
To choose the best ones I could?
Well...
You don't have to worry about me,
Ever doing you a favor again.
People like you are not worth my time.
And are so ungrateful.'
I know.
It's difficult for me,
To not think of myself all the time.
'I'm glad you can see how selfish you can be.'
I'm reminded.
'Good.
It's not all about you,
You know.
I have a life to live too.'
I'm reminded.

The Christian
By: jimmy buffett
1971
Chorus:
Its a hell of a time to be thinking about heaven
Didnt you forget the golden rule
Youve been acting like jesus owes you a favor
But hes a little smart for you to fool
You complain how you forgets the gospel
You remind them seek and you shall find
Maybe youth will have a time for seeking
After they clean up what you left behind
Chorus:
cause its a hell of a time to be thinking about heaven
Didnt you forget the golden rule
Youve been acting like jesus owes you a favor
But hes a little smart for you to fool
You were right there when the plate was passed last sunday
Thats the second time youve been to church all year
Could you really call yourself a christian
If charity cost half as much as beer
Hey
You pray a little more as you grow older
You get religion as your hair turns gray
But you dont need to worry about hereafter
Just worry what youre going to do today
Chorus:
cause its a hell of a time to be thinking about heaven
Didnt you forget the golden rule
Youve been acting like jesus owes you a favor
But hes a little smart for you to fool
Yes my friend I think youve blown your cool
Hey

He that cheateth in small things is a fool, but in great things is a rogue.
Praise in the beginning is agreeable enough; and we receive it as a favor; but when it comes in great quantities, we regard it only as a debt, which nothing but our merit could extort.
