It's claustrophobic, and I think it is to do with the amount that we're exposing people to one particular point.

I think you tend to try, during the time you've got off, to forget about the film. It was such a total world. I mean, the sets were claustrophobic, and as soon as you were on there, you were right back into it.

What it was at the time was literally a plea for, to get the pressure off for a while, to give her space to breathe. She was very unhappy. She was feeling pretty claustrophobic.

One Once Knew

uneasy presence
of someone
once known
even loved -

the space
however
gaping wide:
cloying,

suffocating;
treacle bath
easily sealing
claustrophobic
asphyxsiation

Vulnerabilty

Scary trial rooms
More scary two-way mirrors
Micro-cameras fitted in
Most casual places
More dangerous
Than terrorists…

Technology riding high
Most claustrophobic, this life!

Not Going Anywhere

i remember her
all in white
all dressed
but not going anywhere

she has a name
she gives herself
a little sip
of descartes

and jean paul-Sartre
and the rest
from whom

there is neither
entrance nor
exit

trapped. caught.
claustrophobic.
caustic. sour cream.
cranky

she wants
an immersion in murky
rivers

she cannot thing
of any place beyond
her or us

her hand reaches
for her hand
alone.

Sweating Bullets

Hello me...meet the real me.
And my misfits way of life.
A dark black past is my
Most valued possession.
Hindsight is always 20-20,
But looking back its still a bit fuzzy.
Speak of mutually assured destruction?
Nice story...tell it to readers digest!!!
/chorus/
Feeling paranoid
True enemy or false friend?
Anxietys attacking me, and
My air is getting thin.
Im in trouble for the things
I havent got to yet.
Im chomping at the bit, and my
Palms are getting wet, sweating bullets.
Hello me...its me again.
You can subdue, but never tame me.
It gives me a migraine headache
Thinking down to your level.
Yea, just keep on thinking its my fault
And stay an inch or two outta kicking distance.
Mankind has got to know
His limitations.
/chorus/
Feeling claustrophobic,
Like the walls are closing in.
Blood stains on my hands and
I dont know where Ive been.
Im in trouble for the things
I havent got to yet.
Im sharpening the axe and my
Palms are getting wet, sweating bullets.
Well, me...its nice talking to myself,
A credit to dementia.
Some day you too will know my pain,
And smile its blacktooth grin.
If the war inside my head
Wont take a day off Ill be dead.
My icy fingers claw your back,
Here I come again.
/chorus/
Feeling paranoid
True enemy or false friend?
Anxietys attacking me
And my air is getting thin
Feeling claustrophobic,
Like the walls are closing in.
Blood stains on my hands and
I dont know where Ive been
Once you committed me
Now youve acquitted me
Claiming validity
For your stupidity
Im chomping at the bit
Im sharpening the axe
Here I come again, whoa!
Sweating bullets

Into the Darkness (part 2 of 5) 'Blind

The light within has faded
And the darkness is closing in
There's a chance to break through
One arrow to shatter the heartache
One way to show you who I am
But the light within me is fading
My power is slipping away
The pain inside is searing
Now, I am becoming blind
But now its too late
And it has closed me in
I am getting claustrophobic
It's getting hard to breathe
I feel like my body is not my own
My eyes are losing sight to this our world
All I see is the 'others'

How do you expect me to save you when I can't save myself

World’s Greatest Dad

Every child has a father or even did
I call not all men, fathers
Fathers are great orchestrators of good deeds
Valiant in all things though overwhelmed by a myriad
Standing their grounds despite the mountains
Supermen in the eyes of their children
Over-comers of all our childhood greatest fears
Claustrophobic when alone yet a resurge when he nears
Dad is my all time hero!
By him none ever bullied me
“My dad will beat you and your dad”, always I told them
That made them cringed and winced at the thought
They took courage in theirs
“My dad is bigger and stronger” I always said.
I love you daddy!

Im Not Sorry

I'm not sorry for the things I said
when I was hurting deep inside.
They were things I had to say, and
things I could no longer hide.

I get called spoiled and
also a brat
If people knew the real me
they would not say that.

I cry deep inside everyday.
Every night.
The only thing I wish is that
everything was right.

Nothing seems right.
Nothing seems fair.
It's harder for me cause
I have no one there.

No one to guide me or
help me at all.
I feel claustrophobic.
My world seems so small.

I gotta get out and try
being by myself.
If I don't there'll be
nothing left.

I hope for the best and
pray at night.
That one day everything
will be alright.

However long it takes
I'll be right here.
I won't say 'I'm sorry'
and I won't cry a tear.

You Hold The Light

What is this light
This light that I see
Can it be reached
Is it out-reaching me

Is it the door
The door of my dreams
Where I reach on forever
Endless it seems

Is it water around me
Or is it air
I start to get tired
I start to not care

The light gets dimmer
Like the switch of a room
But the room is much smaller
Like a child of womb

Claustrophobic I am
The light I cant see
Its darker than before
Endless it cant be

Just when your down
Quitting the fight
Remember one thing
You hold you light

Are you happy now?

Bound and shackled,
I kneel here,
Cold and Bloody,
Humiliated, broken…
Are you happy now?

In a tiny cell,
Claustrophobic Hell,
You grind and you moan,
I gasp for breath again, at your mercy,
Are you happy now?

Violated and angry,
I tug at my chains,
And a monotonous laugh
Resonates against my mind,
Are you happy now?

I am woman,
I am child,
I am everything,
I am nothing,
Are you happy now?

Grotesque and spread eagled,
Against the cold hard stone,
Listening to the desperate cries of the young and the innocent,
Listening to death…

Mr. Prime minister….

Are you happy now?

No Signs of Life

It gave no signs of being alive,
so it was placed in the ground.
Away from the clutches of decay,
the bugs, the light and sound.

In the claustrophobic darkness it lay,
complete and alone.
Unable to think or remember,
as lifeless as a stone.

The winds of time continued to blow
as the days passed on by.
The sky gave all it possibly could
to help the undead survive.

In the rich soil, eyes' began to open,
the undead at long last stirred.
Purpose and energy were in abundance,
but silence was still observed.

The undead had found new life
and now sought out the light.
The seed had produced a flower,
what a stunningly beautiful sight! !

Departure Delayed?

I caught a thread upon a nail, unravelling my thoughts
of flashing lights and siren's wail and children in their cots
Of such urbane banality with apathetic gaze
each Zombie-esque fatality adds more to the malaise.

' I cannot live this city life, this claustrophobic cloak,
The 'Gun' has now replaced the 'knife', the scum replace the common folk.
I cannot bear to raise a child amongst such filth and fear
I sense, your mother will go wild, on her return when we're not here.
What Promised Land awaits we two, what scant reward and praise?
What horrors wait for me and you, what plagues to wreck our woeful days? '

I took the pillow from the bed. Approached. 'You sleep so soundly, Jack.'
That smile stunned, as you turned your head.
Disturbed, I put the pillow back.

Victimized and Poisoned

The beast with feasting eyes...
Devours souls unrelenting.
Time spent repenting are those weak,
For acts of treason not committed...
Quick confessions are admitted.
Just to be released from the stranglehold,
Of leashes and claustrophobic cells!
Their numbers grow.
And laying bared on cold concrete,
With nothing to eat.
Reaching to greet a warm heart still beating!
No can believe,
They have been deceived!
Defeated with those who are held to yell confined.
Patience they've been told to find.
And one by one this beast selects...
From these cages locked!
dining on the next.
As those stand in line,
With victimized and poisoned minds!
Hoping their sacrifices are justified...
And they are not used as devices to lure!
But no one asks questions or is sure...
As long as the beast is pleased,
To treat on them with ease!
They accept this as a deed and endure!

Murder Story

You say to me things should soon be alright
I get so scared if I dont get out at night
The questions real
The answer so false
I just cant cope no more with this rate of pulse
I lost my past
I gave it away
I feel so insecure
I couldnt take another day
Please be kind
Dont call me no wreck
My nerves are very live you know
But soon theyre going to break
No oh no
Another murder story
No oh no
Another murder story
So dont come too close
I cant stand the heat
I get nightmares of places people go to meet
Its so apparent when I walk in the door
That Im all alone
Theres no one home and no one wants me anymore
So claustrophobic if I stand I one place
This state of mind Im in is positively quite a disgrace
The children from the street call out my name
Hey you
Its all so mutual but you know
I just dont want to share no fame
No oh no
Another murder story
No oh no
Another murder story
No oh no
Murder story
No oh no
No oh no

Dark Winter Blues

The darkness of winter in some parts of the world,
The blues that it brings to make them sick;
But who is able to challenge nature?

Dark winter blues,
From the middle of November to the end of January;
There our hopes lied so low in the North of the Arctic Circle.

Dark winter blues,
To endure the long dark nights of the Arctic winter;
With pastel shades of blue and violet wrapped in the snow.

Snow ballls,
Snow falls;
The dark winter does have negative effects on some people,
But the earth will keep on moving.

Wrapped in the cold of the snow,
With seasonal moods from the winter blues;
But this sadness of winter cannot be wiped away so easily.

There is no place to escape to with this claustrophobic,
But it is a matter of patience to push the days away;
And the orbit of the earth is all that makes the difference.
