There was an opening in the ER program at King Drew, so I spent the next month there, fascinated with the range of pathology that I observed, the diversity of skill that the ER physicians had to acquire, the variety of cases, and the ability to interact closely with people.

Safety is peace
Acquire skill. Acquire knowledge.
You are not robbed.
Acquire wealth. Acquire power.
You are robbed.
Peace comes where safety rules.

Paper Doll
Written by stevie nicks.
You like a man with a future
You like a woman with a past
Well do you really believe that
She said to faces in the crowd
(yesterday I was facinated by somebody else)
Yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else
(yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else)
Yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else
And even if you did miss me
You never let me know
You prefer to be just a little bit
In and out of love with me
And not to scream and shout
You prefer to be just a little bit
In and out of agony
(yesterday I was facinated by somebody else)
Yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else
(yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else)
Yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else
Come on now, let the sad winds blow down
As the rain came, she refused to wear her coat
But deep in her heart she knew, that the song must go on
He says well I have forgotten you
And your beautiful eyes
We were off the wall
We were mirrors of our former selves
Well you could have said no
You could have said well I just cant
Whoa we were off the wall
We were mirrors of each other
Passing by
(yesterday I was facinated by somebody else)
Yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else
(yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else)
Yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else
Repeat
Well I was your paper doll
(yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else)
Paper doll
(yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else)
Well I was you paper doll
(yesterday I was fascinated by somebody else)
Paper doll
And it doesnt even matter
(I was fascinated by somebody else)
It was a real clear answer
(I was fascinated by somebody else)
I was fascinated by somebody else
(I was fascinated by somebody else)

The wish to acquire more is admittedly a very natural and common thing; and when men succeed in this they are always praised rather than condemned. But when they lack the ability to do so and yet want to acquire more at all costs, they deserve condemnation for their mistakes.

We are the only country in the world that has taken people from so many different backgrounds, which is a great achievement by itself, but an even greater achievement is that we have turned all of that variety and diversity into unity.

You know
I know
all covet
all lost.
I am here
you are here
to acquire

not knowing
what to acquire
how to acquire.

With An Edible Feeding of Nonsense
Some people believe they are above and not equal.
With abilities to steal and thieve.
But all of us on Earth have come...
From Earth to leech.
And I am fascinated!
Some people have this 'thing' about their rights.
And they select which groups are not qualified.
But I observe us here breathing together,
The air that God supplies.
And I am fascinated.
By what is perceived.
I'm fascinated...
By the afflictions that lead to limited beliefs.
But not long do I stay in that frame of mind,
With my own life to live on a mission to satisfy,
My own curiosities.
And I've got plenty of them.
With less time to spend among those enriched,
With an edible feeding of nonsense prescribed...
To devour.

I am convinced that attitude is the key to success or failure in almost any of life's endeavors. Your attitude--your perspective, your outlook, how you feel about yourself, how you feel about other people--determines your priorities, your actions, your values. Your attitude determines how you interact with other people and how you interact with yourself.

Medley: Hallelujah / Last Month Of The Year
(l. cohen/traditional)
Hallelujah was originally contained in leonard cohen's various positions, while last month of the year is a blues traditional. on the cd booklet this song is credited only as hallelujah.
I heard there was a secret chord
That david played and it pleased the lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this :
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrough ya
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Baby i've been here before
I've seen this room and i've walked this floor
I used to live alone before i knew ya
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not some victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
There was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do ya
But remember when i moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was hallelujah
Well, maybe there's a god above
But all i've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah,
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...

Tell me what month was jesus born in
Last month of the year
Tell me what month was jesus born in
Last month of the year
Got january, january, march oh lord
Got april, may and june lord
You got july oh yeah

Got the twenty fifty
December is the last month of the year
What month was jesus born in
Last month of the year

July....
July is the month where the families get the barbeque grills fired up.
July is the month where the night sky is light up with fire works.
July is the month where many families go out of town to be with family.
July is the month where many kids are dreary because it’s a month away for school.
July is the month where America gets to celebrate its independence from England.
July is the month where many people are dying of the heat of the summer.
July is my favorite month because it’s the time that I get to be myself around my family.

Yes. I did more research than I ever wanted to and saw some things I wish I didn't. I went on ride-alongs, spent time with Homicide, Cold Case, and SVU detectives, hung out in subways learning how to spot pervs and pick-pockets, viewed an autopsy, went to a police firing range, and witnessed court cases and I read, read, read.

A Moment Well Spent
Nature opens itself more
To people who look deeply
Than to those that bother
Only to just see
She's a showoff, a braggart, exhibitionist,
A Grande Dame, a diva …yet
Her Bette Midler/Madonna persona
Is revealed to only people like me
People who not only glance at…
But cup blossoms lovingly in hand
Inhaling her essence
Breathing deep, her perfume so grand
She'll gift you her favors
If in turn you give your attention
Allow you to savor the flavors
With out a hint of pretention
But most miss her beauty
And tis such a sad thing to me
That they fail to look closely
Bother only to see
So I say, bury your nose in a rose
Surrender yourself in it's scent
Take the time to look closely
Twill be a moment well spent

Kind of Confusion
Talent, as we call and refer, as an instinct
Valuable gift from God and very distinct
No one can compare it with anyone
It is rarely seen with someone
It is seen and observed for the kids
We can certain assume and have the lead
You can clearly distinguish and read
You need no certificate or any kind of feed
Yet you go to prove it before experts
When you face the world class of arts
Everyone will have to prove class and ability
They will know better and praise the quality
People may put you o prove skill
It may drain you out and kill
With single thought that you are worthless
And has no dedication or courage to face
Such things can not be denied
Certain hopes are grounded or bellied
Basic facts can not be denied
Yes hope and despair is definitely accompanied
One may come out with flying colors
His ability and strength is proved and adored
He has now everything ready to explore
He can add feather in cap and ask for more
There is no end to our ambition
These are the basic inhibitions
We are ambitious and over zealots
But certainly not the fool or idiots
One will have to prove the superiority
Life can not be stagnated and must move on with continuity
There should not remain any kind of confusion
Life is live race and must be seen as compulsion
