There comes a time in every man's life when he must make way for an older man.

Cold On The Sholder
All you need is time
All you need is time, time, time to make me bend
Give it a try, don't be rude
Put it to the test and I'll give it right back to you
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
Kick it around, take it to town
Try to defy what you feel inside
You better be strong
Your love belongs to us
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
All I need is trust
All I need is trust, trust, trust to make it show
I don't want to know everything you done
If you get a tip then tell it to the eskimos
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
All we need is faith
All we need is faith, faith, faith to make it nice
Kick it around, don't be rude
If you're gonna make a mistake don't you make it twice
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day
It's cold on the shoulder
And you know that we get a little older every day

Youth At Its Best
(3/30/12)
We live our lives the way we choose
Some win, many lose.
There's no guarantee in anything we do
What you achieve depends on you.
This is our time, our era and it's
Time to make life better.
Every generation has done their share
But! We still haven't gotten there.
This world can be rearranged
If we decide to make the change.
A change in life style and attitude
That's all we got to do.
Follow your dream while you're young
When you get older it's not much fun
Dreams will become like water
Slipping through your hands
Destroying your concentration
Your future, your plans.
As we get older we tend to procrastinate
When we realize it - it's much too late.
Dreams are what made this world
Just look into the eyes of every boy and girl.
People change as they get older
And look at the dollar signs
Look at it, but don't go blind
And if you do come into a bundle of money
Just remember of how you had to climb
And don't leave your brothers and sisters behind.
Help someone else along the way
Because you may need some help On any given day.

Getting Older
it's nine o'clock
i'm getting tired
i'm sick of all my records
and the clothes i bought today
am i cracking up
or just getting older?
staying in
i can't be bothered
making conversation
with the friends that i don't know
am i cracking up
or just getting older?
and i bet that this is how life
turns out when you're finally grown
and you know if this my life
sit around all day on my own
i'm halfway up to the bottom
of another bottle
of my next best favourite friend
am i cracking up
or just getting older?
you're not cracking up
you're just getting older
we're not cracking up
we're just getting older

Older They Grow But Not Up
Older they grow,
But not up!
Many never experience a maturity.
Raised on entertaining limited thoughts.
And few have abilities,
To comprehend little of what they read.
Or take the responsibility,
To hold themselves accountable...
For actions begun and those they leave.
Older they grow,
But not up!
And demands they make,
To satisfy their spoiled ways.
Since no one around them wants to hear them fuss.
Realizing not one of those fussers who also cuss,
Wants to take a position,
To make a decisive decision.
Since accusations are prioritized in their lives lived,
As a must.
And expectations are less for them.
For those exposed to them growing older...
Knowing these minds have no time left.
For them to show a growing up,
With a thoughtfulness.
Older they may grow...
But for them it sure is not up!

Butterflies
Butterflies
In my stomach
Like a dropp on
A roller coaster
It's happens
Every time I look at you
It happens
Every time we talk
You make me smile
You make me laugh
Your what I've wanted
For a long time
You always say the
Sweetest things
You always know
What to do
But it's forbidden
When we're older maybe
Right now I am simply content to
Have you in my life

Well I'm a very similar age to Prince Charles. I'm a year older than him. I was at university at the same time as him. I think in the sixties, like all the Royals, he really had very little impact on my life at all and he seemed, if anything a lot older in his attitudes.

Older And Older Into More Darkness And Loneliness
OLDER AND OLDER INTO MORE DARKNESS AND LONELINESS
Older and older into more darkness and loneliness,
The friends are not here.
Life has so much grief and pain
Will we ever see them again?
Could we have been kinder?
Less without them, we long and go on.

OLDER WOMEN...by Talile Ali
NOW THAT IM OLDER
ALL I HAVE TO SAY
MY VIEW OF WOMEN'S MORPHED
IN SUCH BEAUTIFUL WAYS
OLDER CHICKS ARE LOOKING HOTTER
DOUBLE THE PLEASURE AT HALF THE SPEED
OH YES
OLDER WOMEN ARE BEST
OH YES
NORTH SOUTH EAST AND WEST
I AINT ASHAMED HERE
BABY, KNOW MY DESIGNS
I WANT ME AN OLDER WOMAN
EACH AND EVERY TIME
DOESN'T MATTER HOW OLD
SO LONG AS SHE'S FIT AND HOT
AND GOT A RACK THAT WON'T QUIT
AND BOUNCES A WHOLE LOT
MAYBE LAST BUT NOT LEAST
WHEN SHE DOES ME SHE'S A BEAST
OLDER WOMEN ARE FUN
WITH THEM YOU HAVE A FEAST
DEEP IN THEIR EYE'S
A UNIVERSE REALIZED
KNOWLEDGE BACKING THAT MUSCLE
BETWEEN THOSE INCREDIBLE THIGHS

Shapes Of Things
(paul samwell-smith, james mccarty and keith relf)
Shapes of things before my eyes
Has helped me to despise
Will time make men more wise?
Here within my lonely frame.
My eyes just hurt my brain
Will time make men more sane?
Come tomorrow will I be older?
Come tomorrow maybe a soldier (now listen)
Come tomorrow, maybe Im older than today.
(listen to this)
Here within my lonely frame.
My eyes just hurt my god-darn brain
Will time make men more sane?

Hypocrisy Nov 11th,2012
If we ever get death-with-dignity; we can then relax,
And not be afraid to face the unknown end-of-life facts,
We are caught in these circumstances whether we like it or not,
In location, time, language, religion and we are all caught.
Because our life spans vary according to each one of us,
But we can't choose death-with-dignity and we can't make a fuss,
But death-with-dignity seems to me to be a good way to go,
Otherwise you go to Switzerland and spend a lot of dough.
This gets more important as you get older and older,
Or sicker and sicker and they still give you the cold shoulder,
A graphic illustration of isolation in our democracy,
And they want nothing to change in their hypocrisy.

The Night Moved On
i went to a bar
to have a rest again
i saw him then
a smiling old man
came rushing in
he sat down close to me
and soon i could see
he's older than it seemes to me
and the night moved on and i got no sleep
his furrowed face
told a story of life
his restless eyes
kept his face alive
his face alive
his tanned skin did not tell of his age
i could see
he's older than it seemed to me
he left the bar
then he spoke to me
and i was captured
'cause now i could see
his way of life
he said little girl you'd better
do what you want
your life is too short to waste time

As We Get Older
Sometimes I wonder why
as we get older
that times seems to fly by.
When we were, young
days never seem to end.
There was always enough time
to do everything we wanted to do,
but as you get older
there is no time anymore.
Is it the world or is it I
that find there is less time
to do all I want to do.
When I was young
I never worried about time,
but now it’s so precious
that I bless every minute and second I get.

The Meaning Of Life Is Unique To Us All
When I was five I wanted to be ten,
How I longed to be a young man,
My mind would wander every now and then,
I wanted to be in the grown ups clan.
When I reached ten I thought of being twenty,
By then I'd be driving my car,
Time for the future, well I still had plenty,
Getting older was a distance too far.
Now I've hit twenty I've nothing to fear,
Time goes past so very slow,
I'm still a young man so I've nothing to fear
I've still got a long time to go.
Thirty years old and it's still not too bad,
I've a wife and children I love,
My health is good I love being a Dad,
My life is a gift from above,
The big four zero has finally come,
I now watch, as my parents grow frail,
The thought of that is making me feel numb,
To prevent it should be our holy grail.
I'm now in my fifties my children have flown,
This life can be really quite strange,
Back when I was five I wish I had known,
Growing older you cannot exchange.
Be careful what you wish for it may come true,
Take your time for life is too short,
Enjoy every minute, age you cannot subdue,
When young the facts you distort.
I'm now in my eighties how I wish I were five,
My time here has just flown by,
All those I loved would still be alive,
Now their memories still make me cry.
The moral is don't wish your life away,
Treat each living second as your last,
Enjoy your years every glorious day,
For in the blink of an eye it has passed.
Scientists spend billions asking why we exist,
Look outside, what you see will enthrall,
It is solely for living is the point they've all missed,
‘‘ The Meaning Of Life Is Unique To Us All ‘'
The Bent And The Broken
THE BENT AND THE BROKEN
The bent and the broken
And the mind-lost and the mad
Canes walkers wheelchairs
Irritable angry sad.
Older and older
Sadder and more sad
I am growing older
How can life be glad?

I’m an Older Man Than You
WHEN you’ve managed with the tailor for a rig-out of a sort
And you find the coat or trousers are an inch or so too short,
Do not fret and swear and worry, make the tailor see you through—
I have been through many new suits, I’m an older man than you.
When your girl is interfering with your appetite and work,
With your sleep and time and reason till the jealous demons lurk;
When your girl is playing with you, leave her for a week or two:
If in vain, then quit for ever!—I’m an older man than you.
When your wife deceives or leaves you for a “blackguard”, “brute”, and “sot”,
And when not a soul believes you when you say that you were not;
Do not rave or brood and weaken, and the years will prove you true,
Let your own self be the beacon!—I’m an older man than you.
Do not take a silly mistress in your vanity accursed,
And a second wife (or husband) but reminds you of the first;
Banish mutual friends, and pity (kill or cure relations, too),
Shun false “reconciliation”—I’m an older man than you.
Be the cause however worthy, and your case however strong,
Be your wrong however cruel, drink will put you in the wrong.
Drink will neutralize and murder all the good that time can do
(Though our birthdays come together, I’m an older man than you).
But for ever and for ever, over seas and through the lands,
Go the hand laid on the shoulder and the silent grip of hands
With a world of human feeling—men who know and men who knew:
Clear your soul of pessimism—I’m an older man than you.

Time Is Here And Gone
LaKind/McFee/Knudsen
It keeps on getting better
How life keeps movin' on
Children growing older
Seems I just looked over
Found that time was here and gone
Oh yeah
Seems like time is here and gone
I know they're getting closer
The answers that have haunted me
Lookin' for some help
My best friend was myself
I never thought I'd live this long
Oh yeah
Seems like time is here and gone
What used to worry me
Well it don't worry me
Who knows the reason or the rhyme
The years that I got left
You know I'll make the most of mine
Here and gone
Here and gone
Seems like time is here and gone
