Learning gives us a fuller conviction of the imperfections of our nature; which one would think, might dispose us to modesty.

I'm Always Learning From Nature
For many years I have loved Nature but little about her I know
My knowledge of her is basic I know a finch from a crow
Recognize some birds by their songs know a wallaby from a roo
Know a wombat from an echidna and a rosella from a cockatoo
Just basic knowledge of Nature her secrets from us she hide
Nature who lives in Townparks and gardens and who reigns supreme in the countryside
I find her quite fascinating artists and writers she inspire
I can only sing her praises of which I never do tire
Nature is for everybody for to learn of and enjoy
And for decades of years I have loved her ever since I was a boy
Her secrets she has hidden from me so mysterious in her own way
I'm always learning from Nature learning from her every day
Yes I'm always learning from Nature and my wonder of her only grow
Yet from me her secrets she keeps hidden and little about her I know.

Modesty
A show of modesty,
From one brave to pave a way...
Is someone who has strength.
With a purpose known meant.
Experiencing those obstacles,
And having them not show...
Leaves very little to say,
By those who live their lives delayed.
Since a modesty seems to be freed,
When pains once had are over.
And unconditional,
Is the love.
And a modesty seems to be freed,
When one like this recovers knowing...
Life has its ups,
And its downs.
And...
Showing modesty,
Can be worn...
Without a frown.
A show of modesty,
From one brave to pave a way...
Is someone who has strength.
With a purpose known meant.
Showing modesty,
Is a gift that's heaven sent.
One knowing modesty,
Doesn't carry that they've had regrets.

Paradoxical bases
One earns wisdom by learning.
One gets learning by errors.
Are errors the base for wisdom?
One attains moral by conviction.
One gains conviction by sins.
Are sins the root Of the moral?
One exudes kindness by loving.
One experiences love from insecurity.
Is insecurity the base for kindness?
One gets detachment by dispossessing.
One gets dispossessed from ennui.
Is ennui the base for detachment?
Evil is the mother of God.

Fidelity to conscience is inconsistent with retiring modesty. If it be so, let the modesty succumb. It can be only a false modesty which can be thus endangered.

Learning
I'm learning to say thank you.
And I'm learning to say please.
And I'm learning to use Kleenex,
Not my sweater, when I sneeze.
And I'm learning not to dribble.
And I'm learning not to slurp.
And I'm learning (though it sometimes really hurts me)
Not to burp.
And I'm learning to chew softer
When I eat corn on the cob.
And I'm learning that it's much
Much easier to be a slob.

Messages Sent
They are not learning...
Mother Nature.
As they watch,
Their treasures burn.
From hilltops and valleys...
Messages sent.
Ignored they went.
Now a scorn upon them,
Has been justifiably earned.
They are not learning...
Mother Nature.
As sacred waters dry their cups.
Too long they have observed,
The suffering of others...
Now they cry in sorrow.
Giving up!
Finding themselves
In the same dreadful rut!
When for us,
Will this be enough?
They are not learning...
Mother nature!
No words spoken to convince
Have they heard.
With beliefs of squandered resources...
Will bestow upon them as your favorite choice.
To sing with wings and chirp like birds.
Rising consciousness as never before...
As humanity drifts towards new horizons.
Breaking down oppositions,
And expanding on new mental shores.
This comes for us...
And will not be ignored!

We Know Little
As knowledge goes I have a long way to go
So little of life and of Nature I know
I have not grown wiser but I have grown gray
And the clock on my life it is ticking away
The praises of Nature so many do sing
But the vastness of Nature is a humbling thing
Even the great whales are small in the vastness of the sea
The World we live in seems enormous to me
Of why the birds and of how the plants grow
The more we learn of life and Nature the less we know we know
Of the World around us we've been learning since before we learned how to crawl
But we realize as we learn we know little at all
Of life and of Nature you may be old and gray
But you never stop learning until your last day.

A crime in the dark of night
Under the cover of the drowsy night,
I see a very painful sight,
On the outskirts of the city,
A crime is born out of pity,
The crime is henious in nature,
Modesty experiences a fracture,
Who are these awesome faces,
I saw on them no traces,
No traces of shame and modesty,
Humanity seems to be void of honesty,
They are waiting for the customers,
They can be both old and new comers,
No job for them is a better substitute,
For each one of them is a prostitute.

Buddha Nature (Evolving!)
every person,
..Buddha nature,
....evolving,
returning....
uncarved blocks,
waiting for the Woodcarver's
...deft hands,
cutting away imperfections,
weaknesses in the grain....
returning to cosmos,
...an ant working,
a mountain slowly
changing shape over time....
evolving,
..from ashe
....back to fire/
to the moment before
....it
.....was
.......lit!
to the moment before that!
the Woodcarver's hands so familiar...
...as if ours!
and the journey undertook
by no one else!
returning...
...evolving...
back to the uncarved block...
for there are no imperfections,
, , , grain lost in grain,
the stars reappear!

I Am One Of Many Who Loves Nature
I am one of many who loves Nature her beauty is all around me
And every day in Nature's World new wonders I'm privileged to see
Of Nature we never stop learning we learn from her every day
Though her secrets and they are many from us she has hidden away
The only immortal I know of her presence is on every shore
All of her life forms their life spans in time is not long but she will live forever more
We depend on her for our survival yet we do not treat her that well
By our polluting and destruction of natural habitat we are creating our own earthly hell
One can only marvel at Nature each species of bird has it's own song to sing
And in the groves and woods and hedgerows they build homes for their young in Spring
The fish of lakes, streams and rivers, the mammals of sea and of land
Her billions of flying and ground insects of sky and of soil and of sand
Of Nature we never stop learning till to the scythe of her Reaper we'll fall
And in a World of many great forces she is the greatest of all.
