It is inevitable that many ideas of the young mind will later have to give way to the hard realities of life.

Sonnet: Life’s Realities
Realities of life are hard to take check,
When sadness comes as their accompaniment;
Sometimes, they seem to catch our very neck,
Defying balms and soothening liniment.
No wine or drugs or women can free you,
From life’s realities you encounter;
No thinking hard can give solutions too;
Problems will come just like a game-hunter.
No hiding helps in burrows like rodents;
By climbing trees, you can’t escape for long;
And dangerous is residing inside tents;
Some day, you’ll hear quite loud the mighty gong!
Realities are to be faced outright;
Prefer always the day, never the night.

Realities
Many fears,
Many tears,
Many years,
Many wears;
It's all about life when,
One faces the realities.
Birth, school, work and death;
The realities of life to keep on growing,
There is no hiding place from here.
The muse of a Bard,
The ink of a Writer,
The brush of an Artist;
To face the realities of life like,
The teacher and the student.

Every Minute, Every Hour
Another day has gone by
Still have you picture, by my side
I cant forget when you left
When we said goodbye
I know its hard to carry on,
Can I survive?
Every mintue, every hour
I just cant get you out of my mind
No matter how hard I try
Every day, every night
I wish you were back in my life
Can we give it just one more chance,
This time
Looking back on it now
Oooo
Where we went wrong
I cant figure out
Wish I could turn back the time
And make you mine
Is it too late
For us to try
A second time
Every mintue, every hour
I just cant get you out of my mind
No matter how hard I try
Every day, every night
I wish you were back in my life
Can we give it just one more chance,
This time
I just dont see things the same
I cant get out of the way
(its clouding my mind)
Its clouding my mind
Ill make it all up to you
Just tell me what I should do
I want you back in my life
Gimme one more chance
Every mintue, every hour
I just cant get you out of my mind
No matter how hard I try
Every day, every night
I wish you were back in my life
Can we give it just one more chance,
Every mintue, every hour
I just cant get you out of my mind
No matter how hard I try
Every day, every night
I wish you were back in my life
Can we give it one more chance,
This time
Can we give it just one more chance
Yeah, yeah, yeah...

New And Old
when you are new
to this world, you always make the impression
that you know how to choose
you delve on exquisite
and discriminating taste
and you always say what is in your mind
you call a spade a spade
and you prefer the diamonds
and the matters fit for the king and queen
but life is not really like that
you fall and bleed
and you find it hard to accept
these skin and bones
the cartilages and nerves that already
know what cutting and breaking mean
time teaches. time heals.
and you learn to let go
and learn to accept what comes
uninvited, the failures and
unexpected calamities
the words 'no', 'not now' 'please don't'
'why me? '
slowly they do not find relevance anymore
and maturely enough you begin
to say ' well, these things happen'
'sometimes they just come'
'inevitable'
'we just have to learn to accept'
'these are realities'
finally, you become a part of this world.
the answer has always been 'yes, and yes'
come, i am human. Come i am brave.
Come, i am giving. Come, take me. Come, i am ready.
now, you know.

Edges Of A Muse
I trace my thoughts over ragged edges
His latent uncertainties played taut
Realities tango, some for want, some on a roll
Unable to resist borders, edges close in
He queries me on shenanigan thoughts
And I quiz him about his solo life
Answers left in canvases un-sketched
They color palettes left untouched yet
I sketch him out from old sunshine
From corridors around him that don't quite give
I see him poised on forgotten rainbows
Where thoughts turn in as languages go mute
I watch him race life, and I bar my gypsy thoughts
Turning away from the realities he is threading
He fights hard, his battles deep and honest
While I watch, painting different sunsets
Time as I know it wraps silhouettes in goodbyes
Bouquets of images I carry from my world
We walk away each time, fencing paradigms
Defying borders that fights hard with reason…

Give Me Something
Oh-oh! oh-oh!
Oh-oh! oh-oh!
The food is cold,
Your eyes are cold,
The windows cold,
The beds cold.
Give me something thats not
Cold, come on, come on, come on!
Give me something thats not
Cold, come on, come on, come on!
Give me something thats not
Cold, come on, come on, come on!
Give me - ah!
Give me - ah!
Give me - ah!
The chairs hard,
Your voice is hard,
The moneys hard,
The livings hard.
Give me something thats not
Hard, come on, come on, come on!
Give me something thats not
Hard, come on, come on, come on!
Give me something thats not
Hard, come on, come on, come on!
Give me - ah!
Give me - ah!
Give me - ah!
Ill give you my heartbeat
And a bit of tear and flesh.
Its not very much but while its there,
You can have it,
You can have it.

Whitewash My Mind
Clutter, clatter…way too much chatter.
I have no idea what’s the matter;
But I do know that I’m a mess.
The world passes by and I must confess
I’m on the street corner of life afraid to cross,
Fearing traffic of new ideas will be my loss.
My focus withers with noises of each day.
Old memories dominate as new thoughts give way.
Delving deep in my fears, what do I find?
I must whitewash all that currently infects my mind.
Rinse away antiquated ideas toward a new direction.
Life rewards only those who make a right selection.

Ideas
Some of my best ideas come
When I least expect them
When I am without a pen to jot them down
I try to keep them in memory
But they become blurred
They become disjointed and lost
Consigned to frustration
Wanting to remember that spark
Which lit my mind into life
I sometimes find a segment of them
Those ideas which come to me
And fashion something out
Only it never looks right
It doesn’t have the feel I’d like
I guess some things are not to be
I guess I keep talking
Hoping I’d stumble across them
Some of my best ideas come
Then I least expect them
What I have learnt in my short life
Its always good to carry a pen

Ideas For Walls
So many things in my head, Ive always had them before
No reason to be upset, theyre just ideas for walls
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing, demanding that the nightlife be called the right life
Like putting paint on my feet & walking sideways in rows
My walls could be so complete, complete with patterns of toes
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing the left side, right side, which is the right side
Now-ideas
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
A little m for the mirror, a double u for the wall
To make things perfectly clear, a great big h in the hall
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing, demanding that the nightlife be called the right life
Is everybody confused? (no) Im making no sense at all
You want a room with a view you need ideas for walls
Now Im standing inside, outside, which is the right side
Im standing inside, outside, outside, right side
Inside, outside, which is the right side
Now -- ideas
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas
Theyre just ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls
Ideas for walls

The Secret Life Of Plants
I cant conceive the nucleus of all
Begins inside a tiny seed
And what we think as insignificant
Provides the purest air we breathe
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the secret life of plants
A species smaller than the eye can see
Or larger than most living things
And yet we take from it without consent
Our shelter, food, habilment
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
Wwe find inside the secret life of plants
But far too many give them in return
A stomp, cut, drown, or burn
As is theyre nothing
But if you ask yourself where would you be
Without them you will find you would not
And some believe antennas are their leaves
That spans beyond our galaxy
Theyve been, they are and probably will be
Who are the mediocrity
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the secret life of plants
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the secret life of plants

Gifted To Waiting World
because
you have a love
of poetry
and ideals
fill your world
beauty
awaits
in many
realities
many
universes of
mind
how many
can be realized
created in
one lifetime?
beauty
of thought
of mind
transcends
into realities
of beauty
gifted
to waiting
world

The Power of Ideas
The power of ideas are immeasurable
They are the hidden treasures which lies
Deep within each and everyone of us
When we take the time to mind them we will find
That they are more precious than diamonds
Ideas which may seem insignificant
Has tremendous power within them
They are the genesis the initiation the foundation
Of all invention and everything which
Is created by humankind
The power of ideas are immeasurable
They have got the power to move mountains
To overcome any obstacle and to make
The seemingly impossible possible
Ideas are the levers which moves and the axis
On which the world revolves
The power of ideas are immeasurable
The power of ideas...

My Soul Came Back To Me/Hard Tough Young As I Once Was
MY SOUL CAME BACK TO ME/HARD TOUGH YOUNG AS I ONCE WAS
My soul came back to me
Hard tough young as I once was
A fighting soul
A soul that would never give in
No matter how they tried to torment it into surrender-
My soul back came to me
And once again I thought I could stand against the world
And by being brave
And going out there alone
On my own adventure
Find the Truth as no one else had
And know what no others had known=
But in my soul I know I am pretending
I have seen and known too much
Also of myself-
I am a minor mote of dust in the vast spaces
And with all the pain and power
However hard I press against the distance
I will not touch the other greater worlds-
No, no,
However my mood and my mind
The temper of my soul
The universe will lay me low
And my toughness become only
Someone else who loves me, sad memory.

Murdering Dreams
When no one is looking
I count the steps
in front of my house
no reason apparent.
I linger in front of photographs
that resemble you
and I allow
cruelly
the contrast
between you
and my present life.
Disappointment
is harder to bare sometimes
in real life
catapulting us
to alternative realities
concocted by our mourning minds
which seek those media dreams
of the perfect life
of escape from the flesh and blood realities
surrounding us
introducing to us
dripping disappointments
in self, others and family.
How guilt-dripping is this dynamic
where reality is seen to be
cruelly oppressive
compared to those media visions
concocted for us
by movies and tv.
Murdering false dreams
is what, therefore, the children
must do
in order to grow up
and become part of humanity.
Otherwise
a grieving shadow
that seeks that happily ever after
becomes a mind dripping
of false realities.

Life
I lost you behind the silence.
Beneath the rocks, like
The time stops at eternal peace.
You are there still, as bright in my mind.
I fly with the strong wind of time,
chasing my dream.
It shines like the North star in the darkness,
Drives me hard every moment.
As I fly with the wind,
Collide often with hard realities.
It brings me down.
It makes me cry.
It steals my direction sometimes.
I rise from the ground again to get airborne.
Life is also about touch of love,
Float in happiness and peace.

Countless Waiting Gems
My fingers move across the empty page.
Its shining smoothness pure and newly felt.
But not one word on it has yet been spelt,
All inspiration hides within a cage.
And sadly there’s no key, to set it free.
Ideas come and then ideas go,
No single letter, up to now’s been writ.
Perhaps one’s trying too hard, just a bit.
I’ll ease up for a while, and take it slow.
Let my tired mind believe that I’ll achieve.
Ink within my pen has suddenly dried,
So has my font of countless waiting gems.
Nothing is left now in my old brainstems.
I think my mind is on a downward slide.
Could this then be my age, my final stage.
No it is just a bleep, all will be well,
My mind will open up and will receive,
New thoughts that form and I will then retrieve,
All the information, clear as a bell.
For as knowledge can grow, my pen will flow.

Just when we most need to be clearheaded, in order to face the hard facts before us, there is all too frequently a very real inclination to give way to dangerous tendencies merely as an escape from realities.
