A shoe that is too large is apt to trip one, and when too small, to pinch the feet. So it is with those whose fortune does not suit them.

If a man's fortune does not fit him, it is like the shoe in the story; if too large it trips him up, if too small it pinches him.
Shoe Laces
Shoe laces
Shoe laces
Don't come undone
Don't untie and stop all my fun.
I'm running with friends in this game of tag
To come undone would be such a drag.
Shoe laces
Shoe laces
Don't come undone
Don't untie and stop all my fun.
Trip me you'll do and skin my knee too
People will laugh and call me a foo.
Shoe laces
Shoe laces
Don't come undone
Don't untie and stop all my fun.
Look oh no you’re out of the knot
Unraveling and flaring, about to be caught
Under my foot as I step down
God oh no I'm falling...The ground!
Boom I hit and what do you know
My Knee is bleeding just like I told
People are laughing and pointing and staring
Why oh why did my shoe laces fail me?
Shoe laces
Shoe laces
Did come undone
Did untie and stop all my fun…
Trip Like I Do
I've got the understanding of a 4-year-old
I've got the piece of mind of a killer soul
I've got the rationale of a new york cop
I've got the patience of a chopping block yeah
Trip like i do
Trip like i do (oh my god this is the best)
I've got the acumen of a season broke
I've got the lack of say of a billion souls
I've got the world on my back but i don't seem to care
I've got the comprehension of a world unaware yeah
Trip like i do
Trip like i do (oh my god this is the best)
Trip like i do (mm..i want you to trip like i do)
Can't you, can't you trip like i do
Can't you, can't you trip like i do
Laid down my back i can't sleep cause i'm falling
Eyes in my teeth i can't see cause i'm eating
Head full of noise i can't think cause it's crushing
Back on my feet like a freight train i'm coming
Can everybody feel like i do
Can everybody feel like i do (oh my god)
Can't you can't you trip like i do
Can't you can't you trip like i do (oh my god)
Can't you trip can't you think can't you feel like i do
Can't you walk can't you breathe can't you trip like i do...

A Pebble In My Shoe
a pebble in my shoe
i want it removed
a pebble in my shoe
a disturbance
in my mind
a pebble in my shoe
an enemy
in my feet
yet wait
let me recall
a grain of sand
inside the clam
a pearl
in my hand
once a pebble
in my shoe
let me walk again
let me remember
the pearl
in the clam

Why You Wanna Trip On Me
They Say I'm Different
They Don't Understand
But There's A Bigger Problem
That's Much More In Demand
You Got World Hunger
Not Enough To Eat
So There's Really No Time
To Be Trippin' On Me
You Got School Teachers
Who Don't Wanna Teach
You Got Grown People
Who Can't Write Or Read
You Got Strange Diseases
Ah But There's No Cure
You Got Many Doctors
That Aren't So Sure
So Tell Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Stop Trippin'
We've Got More Problems
Than We'll Ever Need
You Got Gang Violence
And Bloodshed On The Street
You Got Homeless People
With No Food To Eat
With No Clothes On Their Back
And No Shoes For Their Feet
We've Got Drug Addiction
In The Minds Of The Weak
We've Got So Much Corruption
Police Brutality
We've Got Streetwalkers
Walkin' Into Darkness
Tell Me
What Are We Doin'
To Try To Stop This
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Ooh Stop Trippin'
Yeah Stop Trippin'
Everybody Just Stop Trippin'
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Stop Trippin'
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Why You Wanna Trip On Me
Ooh Stop Trippin'
Yeah Stop Trippin'
Everybody Just Stop Trippin'
Stop Trippin'
Stop Trippin'
Stop Trippin'
Stop Trippin'

Size 40
Cain, main, pain, vain, fain, rain;
Your shoe-size is 40 and i am about to tell you a story;
But your love is like a fiery land far away.
Dave, cave, wave, pave, lave, nave, save;
Shoe-size 40 in the land of care,
But you must distinguish between the unclean and the clean.
The monitor lizard,
The small lizard,
The large lizard,
The stock and the ostrich;
But upon the perfect laws i rest my mind,
And like the rain in its season.

Fairy Revels
Pinch him, pinch him, black and blue,
Saucy mortals must not view
What the queen of stars is doing,
Nor pry into our fairy wooing.
Pinch him blue-
And pinch him black-
Let him not lack
Sharp nails to pinch him blue and red,
Till sleep has rocked his addlehead.
For the trespass he hath done,
Spots o'er all his flesh shall run.
Kiss Endymion, kiss his eyes,
Then to our midnight heidegye
The Sweetest Songs Of Peace
the angels have come this early morning
in the little room
in this little house
in this little island
in my little time
now they are singing the sweetest songs of peace
while i am sleeping
i must be dreaming
pinch me, pinch me
the islands line themselves like boats
like men and women in an array
in the order of things
lining up in this system
they are listening
i must be dreaming
pinch me! pinch me!
wake me! wake me up!
i must be dreaming

Bound Feet
Ancient Chinese oddities were
As myriad as its people.
One of these were bound feet.
A Chinese gentleman judged his woman
By the feet in those days.
Her face mattered but more were her
Feet which had to be as small
As three-inches, a society gauge for
Her breeding and status.
Confucius needs to take part of the
Blame for saying women are born to
Serve their men and no other
Which spawned the bound feet tradition.
Years of pains, tears and sleepless
Nights went into making these
Chinese women walk in little gaits as
Required of a lady, a sign that she was
Not a product of household chores.
Big feet equalled slavery and low births.
An ego trip, it was, for the adherents.

Funerals
I have been to large funerals,
even had to conduct one for a friend.
There are so many mourners that the pallbearers
have trouble turning the coffin around.
Then there have been others
where only a handful of people begrudgingly go.
My mother had one of those
and the paramount of difference shows.
Large ones are attended to say goodbye and display respect
for all that they had done for others in their lifetime.
The small ones are attended as a sign of closure
for what they did not do in their life.
Large ones have many sad
because they have to say to them their last goodbyes.
Small ones are rather sad
for either they held no respect
or their circle of real friends were very few.

The dark memories of our fading childhood
When rich boys get down
from their parent's luxury cars
My courageous Mom takes us
to school in a public bus.
Remember once she said humbly;
'Do not worry my dear sons
study well and one day
I can see you all take me a round trip
in your cars with the fiancees.'
Yes dear Mom!
I have my tumbledown car
and whenever I go out
with my beloved wife
I check in the mirror
and I see you're sitting behind
with a smile, and I look back
It's only an illusion
and you're not seen
We two only in the car
at the jouney's end?
[My mother had a slender, small body, but a large heart-a heart so large that everybody's griefs and everybody's joys found welcome in it, and hospitable accomodation.]-Samuel Clemens

Kiss The Future
Forgiveness and mercy. in short supply. so lonely, so
Faithful. no reason why. in my mind at this time. just clear
Blue sky. your story just starting. now learn to fly.
It takes a miracle to make you see. my consciousness
Exploded.
Your past life. dont suit you. take my hand. kiss the future.
Let fortune. uproot you. take my hand. kiss the future.
No time now for sorrow. meet life full-blast. lets take on
Tomorrow. forget the past.
It takes a miracle to make you see. my consciousness
Exploded.
Your past life. dont suit you. take my hand. kiss the future.
Let fortune. uproot you. take my hand. kiss the future.
It takes a miracle to make you see. my consciousness
Exploded.
Your past life. dont suit you. take my hand. kiss the future.
Let fortune. uproot you. take my hand. kiss the future.
This is what you came here for. stop the engine slam the
Door. leave that lonesome corridor.
Take the plunge and wipe the slate. smile your smile -
Youre feeling great. soon youre going to celebrate.
Time has gone to hesitate. nothing now can make you
Wait. take control of your own fate.
Take tomorrow in your hand. make the others understand.
One break you must demand.
Your past life. dont suit you. take my hand. kiss the future.
Let fortune. uproot you. take my hand. kiss the future.

Stone In My Shoe
Music : rudolf schenker
Lyrics: klaus meine
I keep on dancin on the roof
Try not to fall, stay in the groove
A step too far. Im out of place
Life beats you up some of these days
Just like a whisper theres a voice
Inside of me
Its sayin you aint got a choice
Well, cant you see
Ooh, when your world comes tumbling down
Ooh, you better find a way around
I keep on walkin in the clouds
Find out what life is all about
I keep on runnin away from here
To learn the grass aint greener there
Just like a whisper theres a voice
Inside of me
Its sayin you aint got no choice
As you can see
Ooh, when your world comes tumbling down
Ooh, you better find a way around
Ooh, cause no one else but you
Ooh, can find the stone inside your shoe
Ooh, when your world comes tumbling down
Ooh, you better find a way around
Ooh, cause no one else but you
Ooh, can find the stone inside your shoe
Inside your shoe
Inside your shoe
Inside your shoe
Yeah
Keep rockin in the street
Keep landing on my feet
Keep runnin on and on
Still play my favorite blond
Keep rockin mother earth
Just all around the world
These days mean safer sex
Get my survival pack
My orgasm isnt faked
Ooh lord, I need a break
And whats annoying, too
Is that damn thing in my shoe
Ooh, there is a stone in my shoe

Something Negligible
like small amounts of caffeine
small doses of morphine
a little sugar
a pinch of salt
a dropp of honey
some other matters
negligible
an out of town date with
infidelity
a tint of light
a shadow of a chunk of
a body of
a quart of solubility
diffusing into a very small space
a little part of water
and sand
a little of everything
until you become little too
tiny like a grain
of iron filling
still attached magnetically
to something
undefined.

Despair
Who is he?
A railroad track toward hell?
Breaking like a stick of furniture?
The hope that suddenly overflows the cesspool?
The love that goes down the drain like spit?
The love that said forever, forever
and then runs you over like a truck?
Are you a prayer that floats into a radio advertisement?
Despair,
I don't like you very well.
You don't suit my clothes or my cigarettes.
Why do you locate here
as large as a tank,
aiming at one half of a lifetime?
Couldn't you just go float into a tree
instead of locating here at my roots,
forcing me out of the life I've led
when it's been my belly so long?
All right!
I'll take you along on the trip
where for so many years
my arms have been speechless
