man and his God

God made the country,
and man made the town;
countrymen have the smile
and townsmen the frown.

fountain water to country side
and swimming pool to the town,
field fresh food to country folks
and frozen foods to the clowns.

Let Kites Fly

Russians were always friend
Kept their promises till the end
Whether friendship treaty or otherwise
They have kept words with promises

I witnessed arrivals of jaguars
They were flying from very far
Landed first at near by base
It was nice to witness the chase

Indian air space is to be considered as holy scene
Never to be violated and ever to be seen
Countrymen look towards warriors and brave
Let enemy now watch their move properly behave

Countries near by borders are to be watched
Their intention is to be repeatedly searched
Not even full proof system may grant protection
Our brave soldiers and airmen may prove it with their action

I have observed Russians like best among best
We can trust them and line with them at least
Country owes so much in debt for noble gesture
Country was at peace in past with secured future

Love the way friends react
Judge them by words and their act
If we are safe and secure
Countrymen too can feel very much sure

Let kites* fly in the air
With enough of superiority to look fair
I was with the force as man of air
What a way to feel 'where eagles dare'

I salute to the friends and men behind machines
Their future and country's fate too shines
Let them perform the way when devil approaches
Sky may be the limit when it tries to reach

*Kites are referred to as aircrafts*

Mandkind vs. Nature

Nature
It fills teh world
With untold beauty
Nature
It provieds a home
for mandkind and animal alike

Mankind
It fills the world
with dense smog
Mankind
It destroys the world
and nature

Mankind
and
Nature
fight an endless battle

I, The Soldier

I killed a man today, did not know his name
I did not know his history, I am the one to blame
I searched his pocket for grenades and guns
Found a photo of his three little children having fun
His body is lying there still and cold, no breath of air
I look in his eyes, I am not allowed to ask if it's fair
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I am glad I am alive and I am longing to meet my wife
My child who must be waiting for me, they are my life
I wish I could hug them, cuddle them for eternity
Till I could feel the distance no more sneaking inside of me
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I have not seen my home for months and it is eating me inside
I have forgotten the taste of food and the looks of a butter knife
I am loaded with weapons and ammunitions push my shoulders down
But I have to walk, for my country, for my state, for my town
We don't sleep sound at night with the fears of confrontation
Now my rifle is my body part and bullets are my bourbon
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I don't want to kill anybody, it haunts me
At night I can feel their spirit, hallucinations I see
I look in the mirror and see only blood and corpses around
The cries of widows and orphans is the only sound
The nights are scary with in my sleep deprived eyes
The days are frightening trying to save what's left of my life
But I have to be strong because I am a soldier at front
And I fight for my countrymen and I am a part of this man hunt

I do this for my country but when I will be back
No one thanks me, there is no one to pat my back
They don't realize the nights I have lost so they could sleep
The wounds I have endured so that they could have treats
They don't see the picture, they are just happy for a movie
When hundred lost lives so that they can be free
I begin to wonder, if it is really overrated to be a soldier
The picture must be worth a thousand words and much bigger
I wonder who am I, what am I doing away from home, my home
But I fight, because I am a soldier, a protector of the prone
I am the righteous protecting what is right and worthy of dying for
I live for my family, I die for my country, my men, my corps.

Alcoholism In Tamil Nadu, S.India

How to send them to school clean and tidy,
When they have to pass through the muddy roads,
All politicians of my country should walk on this path,
Before they go to the state assembly and Parliament,
Let them teach us how they keep their white shoes, white,
Let them teach us how to carry these bags in rain, not wet,
Let them teach us how to survive with rationed food and water,
Let them go through all these hardship to develop this country,
But most of them have gone through what we go through,
But they forget the past and seek the friendship of rich and high,
Half of my countrymen are dirt poor and dirtier than dirt,
Even in their new clothes they wear once in many blue moon year,
Our children are malnourished and their medicines are stolen,
The milk is adulterated, the medicines are adulterated,
What is not adulterated where the poor men buy from,
Intelligent people are serving themselves in fine dining,
While my poor countrymen drink and save the revenue,
For the state government, Let our men be the alcoholics,
Let our women suffer, Let our children starve and spoil,
Let the government of Tamil Nadu, prosper in distillery.
Shame on everyone who can think for others, not for their own.

3rd World Mentality

maybe
it's my '3rd world' mentality
that makes me of aware of 'nuclear education'
being the best mode of American travel
and not a Iranian Camel
pertaining to remaining alive
beyond 6 Egyptian days
in a 3rd world country
miles away from Israel's border.

i sit in my 3rd world country
and i'm no longer left to wonder
why i'm taken for granted
and why so many nuclear countries
are concerned about what
'weapons of mass destruction'
am i cookin' with propane
in the desert
when so many missiles
are pointed and threatening me
with turning the sands into glass
from the 'desert storm'
of their first strike.

how many warning signs do i need? ? ?

when i know i have enemies
that plan my destruction
and find me distasteful to live with
(who are not even my neighbors)
as others who hate
preach & cheerlead my demise
plan to feed my 3rd world country
with a un-healthy diet of violence
my neighbor Iraq now feeds on
as soon as
my 'nuclear education' is near completion.

as i prepare for the situation to get worse
i tell my countrymen
mutual destruction
guarantees some form of fair fight
no matter who delivers the first nuclear blow
and the only 'question' to peace… is war
when the bully threathens to 'air-mail'
something 'holocaust' nasty
and one is 'forced' to answer back
with something a bit more uglier
and globally warmed over
from the sands of Iran...
when they do.

Captain Nemo

Captain nemo is too good for you and me
Take a voyage to the bottom of the sea
Hes a riddle you will see in the middle of the sea
If you ask him things about life, then he will say:
Oh no, Im far too continental for mankind
I dont interfere in your life
See me as a searcher with the answers
To your world from under the sea
Captain nemo knows the world be we dont know
What control of light and darkness means
Hell show
If we come in peace at heart
He may help us to restart what went wrong
So long ago from down below
Oh no, Im far too continental for mankind
I dont interfere in your life
See me as a searcher with the answers
To your world from under the sea
See him as a searcher with the answers to mankind
Hes far too continental
Though hes wiser than all man
He is curious about the plan
Violated by the man, the master plan
Oh no, hes far too continental for mankind
He doesnt interfere in your life
See him as a searcher with the answers
To your world from under the sea
Oh no, hes far too continental for mankind
He doesnt interfere in your life
See him as a searcher with the answers
To your world from under the sea
Oh no, hes far too continental for mankind
Under the sea

Comtemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen and then ask yourself, What should be the reward of such sacrifices... If ye love wealth better than freedom, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands that feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.

Who said what is there in the name

Just change a letter
In the name of a person
Who just now made history
By winning an election
In the most powerful
Democracy of the world

You end up with
A person
Who keeps threatening
The very existence of
The mankind
In the name of
Protecting the interests of
A particular believers

The former rose steadily
To what he is today
And won the hearts of his
Fellow countrymen in particular
And of the world in general by his
Inspiring words of wisdom

While the latter
Sprang to limelight and
Drew the attention of the world
By massacring thousands of lives
In a single attack
In the very land of the former

If the former is democratically elected
The latter is demonically nominated

If the former is in an attempt to
Strengthen the bond of human love
The latter is severing the same
In the name of faith and following

If the former is for development and growth
The latter is all set for destruction and death

As the same plant
Strikes a rose and a thorn too
The human race has
Both the former and latter

Yes, rose is a rose is a rose is a rose
And thorn is nothing but a thorn

Who said what is there in the name?

What A Country!

For more than an era,
my Country relished the pains I suffer,
watching my banishment in alien lands.
When the vision is blurred by distance,
they spy me through the hole of a binocular,
and roar in peels of laughter;
one forty million of them relish my own holocaust.

Never had my country been like this before,
She had something called Heart,
teeming with humanity.
Now she ceases to be the country I knew.
Now she is all some decrepit rivers only,
some hamlets and towns,
here and there some vegetations;
Some houses, markets and on the grey meadows,
some people who just resemble humans.

Once my country throbbed with life,
My countrymen recited poems.
Now none thinks twice before banishing a poet,
Now at dead of night, the whole country feel free to send a poet to the gallows;
one hundred and fifty million of them,
derive a lucretian pleasure
out of a poet's execution.
Once the country knew how to love.
Now She has learnt violence and frowning.
Sharp swords at her disposal, deadly weapons
tucked into her waist, fatal explosives in hand,
no longer can She sing a song.
Over an age, in search of a country,
I've been ransacking the globe;
Without a wink of sleep, decade after decade,
In my maddening pursuit of a country.

Reaching on the edge of my own country,
I wait with arms outstretched for her.
Alack! I've heard them say:
If my country ever gets me in her grip,
She'll build my sepulchre there.

Oh peace, where do I find you.....

Oh peace, where do I find you
I search you everywhere in my country but I could not find you
Oh peace, our countrymen love to have you in their hearts
but now your presence is not there to have a peaceful life.
Oh peace where do you go and where can I find you
I see our mothers tears in my country more than rain has poured
I see our nation's charming beauty is lost and its taken away from many acts of hate
I see our people wandering like broken arms to recover their lost freedoms
I see our people beautiful brotherly smiles lost where anger knows no boundaries
I see our people often plant a seed of peace to grow smoothly
but often its burn like a wild fire to the ash by our leaders
We are yet to free from political terrorism and thugs in our own country
and they have trapped us behind shelter of broken promises and blatant lies
Always, life seems to be enjoyed with another man's hearts pain
Oh peace, what have we done to you for you to keep us away within reach
If our country is peaceful, it will blossom like a flower
There is nothing more precious than peace in this world
But peace without justice will not make any nation peaceful
because injustice is the enemy of peace
So, let us find peace where ever it is there within our reach in our minds and hearts
