Lance Armstrong, the famous cyclist and more importantly, cancer survivor, has said 'if you ever get a second chance for something, you've got to go all the way.'

Another inspiration that has helped me get through has been Lance Armstrong's story. My cancer is not nearly as bad as his, but I believe in staying motivated and keeping as fit as you can.

A myth may better be than truth
Stripping Santa Clause of the crown of God
Would scarce him a lesser-loved old man make,
Nor faulting Truth Fairy to face vile fraud,
They are not they are for mere title's sake;
Some myths that motivate, inspiring youths,
Far better be than fire-betested truths.
Armstrong was always strong, doping or not,
He has done to the world a world of good,
Rekindling hearts of those by cancer wrought,
That they fight, life cured of old attitude;
Starved is the world of such role models rare,
O to challenge hard truths with unique dare.
Scarce is the world at war with fairness creams,
Hair transplants, nor cosmetic skin routine—
To look nigh better yon natural means,
Nor is seeding by tube satanic sin;
The world's fine with photo-shopped touch-up look,
Images cooked ere loaded on Facebook.
But a li'le trace of banned drug is too much,
To one not live who'd with crippling crutch.

Lance Armstrong, the holder of many a cross-country
Cycling world records, who defeated debilitating
fatal disease like cancer with sheer will power to fight
with it, and was an inspiration to thousands of
cancer patients, apart from today's youth in general,
was recently stripped of all his titles in a USADA's
witch hunt.
The poem is set in a peculiar sonnet format into three
Stanzas of six, six, and eight lines, each one a small
Sonnet with a couplet in the end in the form of a volta.

Famous Fable
The famous fable,
The famous table,
The famous stable,
The famous cable,
The famous babble,
The famous gable,
The famous parable,
The famous variable
The famous sable;
But, able to crown your love with my muse!
For, you are all that i need.

Lance Armstrong is the guy that I would put up there as one of my heroes. He's done something that no one else has done and when you put into it what he overcame, it's absolutely unbelievable.

the big C
those who fear it cannot call it
by its own name
big C for cancer,
but cancer is cancer
no more no less
depends on what stage
then you are taken
as the next
victim by an old
expert culprit
so unforgiving
mercilessly taking the lives
of those
destined to die
cancer is cancer
no more no less
a friend of mine dies
today of cancer of the
liver.

You look at a guy like Lance Armstrong, and you have to be inspired. I sat next to Kirk Douglas the other day, and he's inspiring for fighting through his stroke.
Through my illness I learned rejection. I was written off. That was the moment I thought, Okay, game on. No prisoners. Everybody's going down.

Holocaust Poem
I am a survivor of a holocaust
The horror of which
most people could not imagine.
I was brutally beaten and raped by an S.S officer
Then packed in a train
going to the gas chambers of Auschwitz
As if I was a sardine
Not a human being.
If my rapist was still alive
I would tell him
You violated my body
But you did not rape my soul.
Because I am a survivor
I refuse to give you the satisfaction
of fitting my heart
with a pace maker.
Life beckons for me
To truly live
To open the greatest gift
God gave us.
I will smell the sweetness of every blossom
And watch the sunset
Every evening.
Because I am a survivor.
I am a survivor
I am a survivor
I am a survivor.
I am not defined by the numbers
on my arm
I have the heart of a lion.
Because of the strength
God gave me
Hear me roar.

Fear Of Chance
I’m afraid
I fear the chance
To get into your pants
But
I don’t fear the chance
To show off my lance
I guess
What I fear is the dance
A dance
That may turn out to be a romance
So
I won’t show you my lance
Because
I won’t have a chance
To keep up the romance
Cause
I see it in their faces
Hear it in their voices
I hear the disgrace
That you might face
For
Loving the black race
