The welfare culture tells the man he is not a necessary part of the family; he feels dispensable, his wife knows he is dispensable, his children sense it.

Betrayed
Picking over bones
Of things that have been gone,
Too long we keep this going on!
Sucker punching from the left..
Catching someone out of breath
Momentum kept like this is much too wrong!
Betrayal shot in veins
Of those who are not sane
They keep their brains with venom flowing!
With sharpened fangs they creep
Upon them who are weak
To keep them victimized unknowing...
They are dispensable!
Quite dependable...
To be used!
And betrayed!
Stalking with a sad intent
To have some think they should repent
For living lives not spent in tears or sorrow.
Pushing fear and agony
To have the masses to agree
No one really can be free tomorrow...
If we are dispensable.
Why not be dependable...
To be used!
And betrayed!
It would be commendable...
To be taxed,
And betrayed!

I never have really said much about the whole episode, which was endless. But his speech was a perfectly intelligent speech about fathers not being dispensable and nobody agreed with that more than I did.

A Celebration of Family, Community and Culture
When a snowman winks his eyes of coal,
And from their windows children know...
Magic's in the air.
And they wish they are on Santa's list.
As children everywhere wish this.
The Christmas Trees that are trimmed with them,
Excites with the bright lights shining.
Dining festively on treats...
Will be remembered year to year.
This and every Christmas.
Joyous Eid al-Adha (The Festival of Sacrifice)

Merry Christmas...

The Poor Bloke's Prayer
My electricity bill I just cannot pay
Dear God when I need you where are you today
You don't seem to listen when to you I pray
And when I need your help from me you turn away.
The prayer of the poor bloke on poverty street
For his children he cannot afford to buy meat
His wife is unwell in bed feeling run down
A poor family on the poor side of the town.
He prays but God never pays heed to his prayer
Life can be so tough for one on welfare
On a below poverty line income and job opportunities rare
Of how real poverty feels he is all too aware.
If your wife and children are hungry and payment on your bills overdue
To positive thinking 'tis hard to stay true
You pray to your God for assistance but your prayer God does not heed
And your so called friends do not wish to know you in your times of need.

Dispensable...
in this house
dinner is served and
those who live here
can eat even
without me...
i can hear the talks
the spoon and the fork
in their chatter
the soup burps and
the knife pisses
off
no one calls for my
name
and i am just there
watching
defining what is
dispensable figuring out
why is this so?
it is like a movie
when they do not mind me
as they pass through
my body
am i a ghost?
busted.

Single Dad and Single Mum
The English-speaking countries
seem to be well-off for single mums.
For flimsy reasons, the dad goes off
the family with someone else.
This has become a part of their culture
and so no mum or dad grieves for it.
To develop their children single-handed
the mums have the grit in their nature.
Many-a-mum flash their photos in the nets
for a matching partner to choose.
Thousands of photographs zoom in.
The children too don't yell
when a new mum or dad steps in.
Yet the young minds might spin yarns
unread, unshown about their parents'filth.
No eve-teasing in the yoof culture
and no yahoo commits rape. It's rare.
They join together on the nod.
Then why the dads leave their families?
Why should the dads and mums
refine themselves to stay with the family?
How it will be if they stay with children
educate them and also their grand children
and crave for the praise of the young ones!

Man! Race with woman
Now Cinema is more on glitter and gloss
and little on frailties and foibles.
Now woman is more on glamour and ease
and little on fidelities and commitment.
Men must be more on leniency and laxity
and little on watch-dogging and possessiveness.
Marriage will be redundant and out dated soon
A father will be dispensable as a bull to a cow;
men will be more in agony and less in harmony.16.12.2001, pakd

Easily The Perception
The air is there to breathe,
No matter who attempts to avoid its presence.
Like so many who try to deny what feeds them.
And will not admit they seek to get it on a daily basis.
Without acknowledging it at all,
As the only source for their survival.
Comparable to another believing the deeds of one,
Are dispensable!
And that is easily the perception of those accustomed,
To nibbling habitually with a mooching done established as natural.

Bright As If Self Illuminating
Consistent.
Sharp and gleaming...
Are the layers of these treasures.
And polished,
With a retrospective reflection kept...
Protected in an unsuspected depth.
To forever shine with a resilency shown,
Unknown to sustain such a brilliant glow.
As true treasures do.
Even though ignored and mistakened to be dispensable.
But genuine these gems will always be sparkling,
Bright as if self illuminating.

We're All God's Children
Album: Peace In The Valley
Here comes a Baptist, here comes a Jew
There goes a Mormon and a Muslim too
I see a Buddist and a Hindu
I see a Catholic and I see you
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
Why can't we be
One big happy family
You like the day, and I like the night
He's into country and he's isn't quit
There's folks on the left and the far right
But that doesn't mean that we have to fight
We're all god's children
All god's children
Yeah, We're all god's children
Why can't we be
One big happy family
White folks, yellow folks, black and tan
On the same planet in the same plan
A feminist woman and a he man
We're all playin' the magic hand
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
Oh, We're all god's children
Why can't we be
One big happy family
We're all god's children
All god's children
Yeah, We're all god's children
Why can't we be
One big happy family
We're all god's children
All god's children
We're all god's children
Why can't we be
One big happy family
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
Yeah, We're all god's children
Why can't we be
One big happy family
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
We're all black and white
We're all precious in his sight
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
We're all god's children
Why can't we all be
One big happy family...

Where I Live
i've wanted to clothe myself
with the shining armor
i made myself choose masks
worn some and faced the crowd
somehow i did not like it
for who wants not to be one's self?
after the event i regretted having spoken
for others said what was best
but i didn't or perhaps i couldn't
so now is the time to be naked
and display the mole behind my chest
for them to remember
that i was and will always be different
that i was born not to be admired
but just to be dispensable
to be dismissed as nothing but a mere idea
on this new understanding
perhaps i can dwell satisfactorily
in the silence of this tower.

Strange Fate
Life is but a temporary thing
in this world its merely a scene
fate is in fact a mark of extinction
everyone has to die somehow soon
As man is born in life to die
nobody is above his limitation
death shall eventually strike us
Day or night, no being is invincible
even kings and heroes are dispensable
at the end of the road we all shall vanish
to the next dimension into the unknown
here today all humans have strange fate

Life embroiled in crisis manifold…
Tech-driven …net worked …anonymity
Screen agers…
Passionless robot’s…..? ? ?
De linked with the Past, Present an illusion..
Cob-Webbed Future, gripping disillusionment..…
Diminishing Family ties….
Enveloped ‘nuclear’ upbringing…
Lost identity of relation ship….
Miniaturization to micro-chip….
Children yet another ‘nucleus’…insensitive to life…..
Human bonds… …Dispensable
Relations redundant… as…
Graying befalls….. Old is obsolete...? ? ? ?
Asylums for our own dear and near ones….
An unceremonious farewell ….
To souls, that nurtured us …
In tombs for deserted…
Emerging global concept ‘…
All that glitters is..Money...Power...and Arsenals of hatred
Reveling in chemistry....’Nuclear’

Wife- better half of life
Wife is the better half of life
Give wife love affection as soul-mate
Wife is not glorified maid as said
Wife do not want money salary honorarium
Do not make hulla gulla and do not beat drum.
Mian bibi relationship should not be commercialized
Third party intervention in family relation vandalized.
Wife is not a domestic labourer
Wife is backbone of the family
The maile stone of the family
Wife is the torchlight of the family
Wife is the colorful star
Do no put any question to her.
Wife is there to give everything
Wife is not to take anything in return
Wife is the goddess.
Only mad man can say wife is a domestic servant
Make wife a wife life-partner better half
And enjoy life freely.

Pain In The Guts Of The Man In The Gutter
the gutter is not the nicest place to live
all the while you are too common and unnecessary
dispensable like a woman's napkin
but you live there just the same
there is pain in your stomach
you lose your guts
and when you die they do not mind at all
all people die anyway
and always there are others who replace you
from where you are
and then you are forgotten
you try to write some things in your journal
hoping that someone accidentally reads them
and you may have justified
your having been here, for once
they have no time and they too have many things to do
always
they come and go and leave and die and then finally forgotten
like nothing is really significant in this world
just like them
and you
and so why bother, why?

The Life of a Wife
It was just a dinner date
That ended in a horrible rape.
No-one heard her kick or scream
No-one knows how she feels.
No-one cares that's the thing
When rape is within a wedding ring.
It's one of those things, a part of life
When you're someone's woman, someone's wife.
She'll make the meals, iron the shirts
Even though she feels like a piece of dirt.
Hide the tears from all the kids
Do as he wishes, do as he bids.
All the time she seethes inside
All the time she tells her friends lies.
She's at the point when she feels it okay.
A spell in jail, to take that man out of play.
