Education A Lost Cause

Education A Lost Cause
By Lori Triggs
Copyrighted Feb.2010

Education was importion at one time,
now it is on the back burner not importation.

In the U.S.A. we ranked number one in education,
now in the U.S.A. we rank 13th in education.

Americans cannot even comprehend English language
besides math or science even sex education.

Americans talk with text or iming words thinking that the English language
when Americans today are alliterate cannot read or write even do math.

Our states even government wants to take away
12th grade from high school what's next?
11TH grade than no high school suppose to be going forward not backwards.

So we need to fix education and our government,
because education comes first and the fat cats like the senators,
and the congressman come last no more free rides plus free dinners.

We need to rank number one in education again!

Upton’s Response, an American Public Education Reminder

(During the Final Question round, (for Miss America '07) , Aimee Teegarden asked Miss South Carolina, Lauren Caitlin Upton, why she thought a fifth of Americans are unable to locate the United States on a world map. Upton's response was :)

'I personally believe that, ----Upton's response
(In the hat there was cat) , ---- the author's comment

U.S. Americans are unable to do so,
(… a deer a female deer a Do)

because some… people out there in our nation that don’t have maps,
(I like to take naps)

and I believe that our education,
(how did she ever get out high scool. Iz it just my imajinashin?)

like such as in South Africa and the Iraq,
(could it be next year she will be voting like for Barak?)

everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should…
(She’d past a test, for 1st graders, if she could.)

our education over here in the U.S., should help the U.S., er,
(forget her)

should help South Africa and should help the Iraq
(she’s liable to be parent someday, is frightening and her education is lack.)

and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future..,
(She’ll look back on what she had said when she is more mature.)

for our children... '
(I hope to God she matures more quickly, not how but when.)

Need more be said?

American Dream

American dream
American dream
American dream
I must surrender to my American dream
Please do not call me
There is a wedding ring on my ring
And I am building my American dream
I found an American soul mate to love
And to share my life and my American dream
I am getting married and settling down
Good bye single life
Love is the best thing I can give to the people who also share my American dream
Soul mate give me a kiss
And let's dream the American dream
I want my self, you, and every body else to be a part of this American
Dream
We are starting over with an American dream
What I lost before
It is not of any value to me any more
I can't replace it
But you are a part of me
And that is what matters the most
This American dream belong to us and every body else
My heart belongs to you my soul mate
Days will come and go
But I am here for you
We can make a difference when we claim the American dream
Maybe tommorow we will sail on a moon beam
My soul mate has blue eyes
Soul mate I ask no more than this
Please give me a warm kiss
Somewhere in the American dream roses will bloom
And ships will sail across the sea
Poets will write their poetry
Singers will sing in the boulevard cafes some love songs that touch Every body's heart
Flower girls will sell flowers in the streets of the American dream so
The man can buy some
Flowers for there girl friends and lovers if they have any
I can't let any body else steal our American dream
We must save this American dream for us and every body else
If you want to be a part of the American dream
You will have to be a good citizen of the American dream

Make Education A Priority

Young ones!
At primary or secondary
Do make education a priority!
For if the battle for a sound education is lost
Throughout your life
You will pay the cost!
Then when you grow up
And adulthood you attain
You'll keep hoping
And searching in vain
But a good job and salary
You may never gain!

All Of It Is Educational

If education had been a priority,
Its connection to greatness...
Would not have been an elective,
For the selective chosen few to possess.

If education had been a priority,
The providing of it...
Would have been more collective.
Without those costly decisions made,
To leave behind many subjected...
And left to think of themselves as fools.
Like those who have proven to be incompetent.
With abilities to deceive.

If education had been a priority,
Its connection to greatness...
Would not have been an elective,
For the selective chosen few to possess.

And a greatness declared,
Through one's ability to produce weaponry...
Isn't greatness.
That's the height of evil stupidity.
Eventually used to attack its producer.

'Like that mad scientist obsessed,
Who exhumed bodies...
To design his own human beings.
He alone would command their dependency.
But his first and only creation turned on him.
What was his name? '

Frankenstein.

'Are you sure? '

Not really.
So many have been running for political office.

'You refer to Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde.'

Does it really matter when all of them are monsters?

'Yes it does.
Because all of it is educational.
All of it.'

Up! Education

Education is important
Right from when an infant

Education is not about college
It entails a wider range of knowledge
Supplying a market of skills shortage

Education is great
It creates and decides upon ones fate
Never leave it too late

Education makes it a priority
To provide you with opportunities

So I say
OK! Up! Education
Feed the Nations
Up! Education

Education is in abundance
A constituent of importance
As we humans advance
It offers us life’s insurance

Education is the key to set you free
From joblessness condemnation

Education is the key to flee
From endless financial frustration

Education provides you with ammunition
To tackle any country, state or nation

Education gives you immunisation
Against surviving global frustration

Education relieves you
From absurd ignorance

Education exempts you and me
From parental allowance
For most adults
It is usually a concerning disturbance

So I say
OK! Up! Education
Feed the Nations
Up! Education

I take my time to stress once more
It is the path to successes door
Education is a treasure
One cannot significantly measure
By only your life’s attended lectures

Education is power
Your immediate answer
To questions that remain unanswered

Education is for all
Embrace it or fall

Education provides options
And sets the motion
In life for you to function

So I say
OK! Up! Education
Feed the Nations
Up! Education
Education is the name of the game

Revolution

Tonight, it's a revolution
Tonight, we're going to war
Tonight, you better make a decision
Tonight, we're going to war
I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American
I'm an American
I think you need some education
I think you need some thought control
Tonight, there is a situation
Tonight, it's the end of the world
Tonight, we'll take control of the nation
Tonight, we take control of the world
I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American
I'm an American
I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American
I'm an American
Come let's crush these weak defenses
Lets all lose our self-control
We will fight the false pretenses
And break the arm that has a hold
Come let's crush the opposition
And let us not do what we're told
We can kill the competition
And break the face off of the mold
I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American
I'm an American
I'm not a patriot
I'm not illegal
I'm not a fugitive
I'm an American
I'm an American
I'm an American
I'm an American
I'm an American
I'm an American
I think you need some education
I think you need some thought control

Gertrude Stein is interviewed on American poetry

and there was the knocking on the door
that we were expecting
and it was the man
that we were expecting
with the questions we were expecting
to which answers were expected
by those who expect answers
as if life were like that
which for writers it is not

yes, tea was drunk
and after tea the tape recorder set up
so that what I said
I would continue to say
somewhere else
even when I changed my mind
here and nowhere else

and he said Ms Stein
what do you think of American poetry
and we said well it's American
and it's poetry
that's as it should be
and really that's all there is to say
and the man looked disappointed
so we asked him did he read poetry
and he said poetry no I dont read poetry
but my editor does
so I said it's really about Americans
living their lives
that's what American poetry is really about
because Americans move around
and so their words move around and
words in English have lost their intensity
but American words are always on the move
and they are more intense
yes, Americans living among Americans
and talking to their neighbours
if it's not about that
it's not really American poetry at all is it
if it's not about that
then why bother writing poetry

and the man was asking about a rose
being a rose being a rose and we said
for a hundred years the rose
has not been red in poetry
but now for the first time in a hundred years
the rose is red again

and the man looked at his watch
and said thank you Ms Stein
and was switching off his tape recorder

and a month later that
was what we said
in a magazine much read
by Americans who mostly
are not poets no very few but we said it
we know that this is so
because we read it there
and we think that really
that was all there was to say
because that was all we think
is really important
about American Poetry
that the words move like Americans move
and that is exciting for a writer
and that is the important thing about
American Poetry

4th November 2008

'I have a dream! '
And today the dream is fulfilled by electing Barack Obama;
'I have a dream! '
And the 4th November 2008 is now recorded into the History Books;
'I have a dream! '
And today Barack Obama is the 44th President of the U.S.A.;
For the Blackman is capable of handling his or her own affairs.

'I have a dream! '
And 4th November 2008 will be the date to remember always;
'I have a dream! '
For this date gave the First African American to be a President;
'I have a dream! '
And the shout i do hear around me is: 'Obama, Obama, Obama! ! '
'I have a dream! '
That today the Americans had recorded a History to us all;
'I have a dream! '
That the days of the Slavery gone by had yielded fruit today;
'I have a dream! '
And 4th November 2008 had taken us through to fulfil this dream;
So we can really make a change of our lives today.

'I have a dream! '
Today the First Blackman is Elected as the 44th U.S. President;
'I have a dream! '
That today there is joy in the African American Community;
'I have a dream! '
And for who the cap fits must surely wear it;
And today, the cap fits Barack Obama.

Since September 11, an entire generation of young Americans has gained new understanding of the value of freedom and its cost and duty and its sacrifice. The battle is now joined on many fronts. We will not waiver, we will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail. Peace and freedom will prevail. Thank you. May God continue to bless America.

The Dream Is Over

Psst, hey, come on man, wake up.
Oh, yeah, yeah!
I see the power,
Changin hands
Risin from the streets
A self made businessman,
Knows how the system can be beat.
Oh, were the lost generation,
Have no place to go,
The road to destruction,
Is all we need to know,
Cause its a rip off,
Were stripped, drawn, and cheated,
Were flat stone cold lied to
But were not defeated, nooo, sir
Easy money,
Its your way out,
Join the family
No middleman,
No i.r.s.
Your ticket out of poverty
Oh, were the lost generation,
I hold fate from a string
Lookin for direction
Reachin out for anything, so
Dream another dream
This dream is over, (oooh oooh oh)
Dream another dream
This dream is over, (dream another dream)
Dream another dream
This dream is over, (oooh) over yeah, (dream another dream)
So dream another dream
(solo)
Ah,
Yeow!!!!
Oh, its a rip off,
Were stepped on an cheated,
Flat stone cold lied to,
Were not defeated, noooo,
Dream another dream, this dream is over, (oooh oooh oh)
Dream another dream, this dream is over, (dream another dream)
Dream another dream, this dream is over, (oooh oooh oh) oh
Dream another dream, this dream is over, over yeah, (dream another dream)
Dream another dream, (ooh ooh ooh)
Dream another dream, (dream another dream, oooh ooh ooh)
Dream another dream, oh, this dreams all over (dream another dream)
Dream another dream, (dream another dream)
Dream another dream...
