Epidemics historically have tended to kill the very young and the very old, but AIDS is different: Those ages 20 to 40 are most affected, which means that so far over 12 million African children have been orphaned because of AIDS.

I have had lots of friends who've been affected by Aids and a very good friend of mine, Oscar Moore, died of Aids and I was with him in his last year quite a bit. And of course he was a man living in a very rich culture with a wealthy family who was able to afford health care.

I go to Malawi twice a year. It's where two of my children were adopted from, and I have a lot of projects there that I go and check up on and children who I look after. It's sort of a commitment that I've made to this country and the hundreds of thousands of children there who have been orphaned by AIDS.

I came into a strong organization, and I hope I strengthened it more and expanded its capacity to deal with some of the challenges that might not have seemed as great 10 years ago, such as H.I.V., AIDS and children affected by war.

Only 25
Today I was thinking of my cousin he was only 25 when he died.
His life was over before it even really got to start.
You see, in a moment of passion he didn't wear a condom.
And in that moment he contracted AIDS.
He lived for seven more years and then one day he just died.
He was only 25.
Note: This poem was not just a tribute to my cousin but a message to the young and old please don't let my cousin and millions of others death be for nothing. In that moment stop for a moment and put on a condom. Sex doesn’t kill people but AIDS do! !
Aids
Often we are faced with that temptation
Of discharging on a stranger our sexual frustration
But prevention is better than redemption
Fantasy functions safer as it is than when put into action
First kisses, pecks and a tease on the neck
Aroused with a natural instinctive reflex
You ignore the condom! Which keeps diseases in check?
Injected later with sex you vex after infected by sex
Specs of the after effects are about to make your life complex
AIDS: Aimlessly injected deadly sex
AIDS: Annoying irritating diseased sex
AIDS: Artificial induced death served
AIDS: An invading dying shock
Your primitive rod was itching!
Her unseen clitoris ever so bewitching!
Therefore you denied yourself self control!
From wittingly falling into the forbidden dark hole
Whilst your desire fed upon a slow burning fire
Switch back; relax as your joy fades
You finally got laid and now you feel betrayed
By the aids mermaid who had you outplayed
Condom could have made the rightful blockade!
AIDS: Absolute incurable delayed sickness!

HIV/ AIDS Anecdotal Poems
She loved a man and he was young;
He loved her back and had some fun;
They married too and some years passed;
They both died young, left child orphan!
He was a trucker working hard;
He used to come home twice a month;
He was a wayward, smoker, drunk;
He died of AIDS, infecting wife!
A police husband’s wife was nurse;
The man gave HIV to her;
When he died, she took ART;
She died too when she stopped her drugs!
It was a jolly trip for boys;
They enjoyed well, sang, drank and danced;
Some strayed into the red-light zone;
All of them developed AIDS sometime!
Young boys and girls do venture young
To know what love-making’s about;
Adults have sex outside marriage;
And when AIDS strikes, they are soon dead!
Even the rich and literate
Succumb to pleasures that can kill;
Homosexuality, IDU
Can turn you sero-positive!
Why risk your one life precious most?
God wants the human race stay pure;
You cannot live by whims, fancies;
You are duty-bound till you die!
‘Avoid all risks of HIV exposure
Keep your mind, body’s composure’

I leave my heart with you
I met a friend
She dreams
about the summer
The flowers are on the table
Soon,
she’ll sing,
like Luciano Pavarotti
Without an audience
Her finial
Would be filled
With dithyramb.........
And phylactery

Don't share your bed with a stranger
who may looks like an actor?
The movie ends with a tear

Be not a beggar
Avoid seeking aids
Unless in bare needs;
Avoid getting helps
Unless in dire needs.
Provide in equals
To those aids and helps.
You should not afford
To be a beggar.
Offer help and aids
That must not be baits;
Offer gifts and kinds
That should not be a debt.
Your pay out should not be
Less than your receipts.
You cannot afford to be a beggar,
You be not greedy
Which makes you ugly.
Then you aren’t shut
Doors by the dear ones.
You may remain poor
But not a beggar.
Being a beggar
Is worse than a slave.

Take Care While Tasting Fruits!
God bless the doctors
who wage wars,
against the Hanzen’s disease
to kill the leprae
that kills the hope
of the human race.
Race, religion and caste
help all of us to group and fight.
But AIDS isn’t partisan’
It rains mortars
On all mortals immoral.
When you’re proud to say
You’ve tasted fruits above seventy,
why can’t AIDS hit a ton?
The food to children,
man adulterates;
brews and distills
health -drinking drinks;
drugs and brown-sugars,
he smuggles in stealth.
He is bereft of humane humanwares!
O God, what fault You did
in man’s first creation?
He buys arms, missiles
and fighter-bombers,
fearing not of ‘tholidamide’
that fissiled
Brazilian babies
into devilish shapes!

You know it's very difficult to be an actor, and to have people depending on you to say the right line, at the right time, and to not be able to hear your cues! I can't tell you how many times I would've had to have said What? if I didn't have my hearing aids. So my hearing aids are a life saver, and they allow me to practice my craft.
