Everything is worth precisely as much as a belch, the difference being that a belch is more satisfying.

The Olympics
Born athletes win fame in the Olympics
but losers burn with shame;
cry foul and the Board they blame.
Losing fight, they belch out flame.

I drink booze, I smoke, and I'm hooked on caffeine. I actually have been known to swear at times and belch and even raise my voice when provoked. And I'm not physically repressed!

Sir Toby Belch [To Fabian and Maria]: Go to, go to! Peace, peace. We must deal gently with him. Let me alone. How do you, Malvolio? How is 't with you? What, man, defy the devil! Consider, he's an enemy to mankind.

The Great Slob
I was always a natural slob
I liked to lay upon the bed
in undershirt (stained, of
course) (and with cigarette
holes)
shoes off
beerbottle in hand
trying to shake off a
difficult night, say with a
woman still around
walking the floor
complaining about this and
that,
and I'd work up a
belch and say, "HEY, YOU DON'T
LIKE IT? THEN GET YOUR ASS
OUT OF HERE!"
I really loved myself, I
really loved my slob-
self, and
they seemed to also:
always leaving
but almost
always
coming
back.

Gargoyles
Pet gargoyles grunt and snore and cough,
But sadly you can't turn them off!
The belch and wheeze and sneeze and spit,
I cannot bear the thought of it!
They slurp and burp, they howl and growl,
They moan and groan; they smell so foul!
Gargoyles gargle, and pass lots of gas,
Their gas it smells like sassafras!
If you get a gargoyle have no fear...
From their FARTS you can make root-beer!

This Mick on the Next Stool
So this Mick on the next stool,
who's as serious as Yeats
but looks like Wilde,
stares at me,
with eyes crossed,
sipping Guinness through the foam.
Finally he burps and says,
'I'll bet that growth is cystic.
If it were on my nose,
I'd light this match,
hold a straight pin over it,
then prick it.
Poof! There'd be
a belch of goat cheese, sure.
But what of it?
You'd need a Q-Tip,
maybe a dropp of p'roxide.
But in two weeks
new skin would bloom
smoother than a baby's bum.
With your luck, Yank,
it would freckle.'

Blackbirds (For Smoky And Patti)
blackbirds...
the spindly children
of blood red skies,
walking barefooted
on the dusty path,
cawing!
demons?
no, the demons
walk upright with
sharpened swords,
cutting the tongues
from the beaks,
breaking wings
with moral hammers!
blackbirds...
spirits set out,
left to dandelion clinging,
and morsels of bread
thrown out by
those who belch rules...
spirits,
that die to fly,
to taste forbidden clouds,
cawing!

The History Book
cities built
on dried bones scattered,
faceless dedications
on lie frosted grounds.
mechanical profit,
metal on metal wailing...
smokestacks belch,
and churches shudder
freedom sleeps,
where lost spirits walk.
stained glass windows,
hide the glare of truth.
soldiers march through
the bleached pages of
the history book!
the dried bones scattered,
murmur in the night!

What is the difference between....?
What is the difference between black and white?
What is the difference between day and night?
What is the difference between love and hate?
What is the difference between a woman and a mate?
The answers seem to be so easy
as the difference between to be free and to be busy.
But! Can you tell me the difference between a lie and a truth?
Can you tell me the difference between old age and youth?
Will you tell me the difference between a grant and a sob?
If you don’t know this difference you can flop.
I would like to know the difference between wrong and right,
I would like to know the difference between a war and a fight.
If you know the answers please, write.
It will be interesting to know your opinion,
And may be I will find it to be brilliant.

A[s]ail - Prose Poem
A sail –
brave paling, ailing -
on the dead sea mirror
of man’s anonymity, -
not a pretty picture!
The world is midwife
to its own rebirth
and sexton to its
own interment. A lost
generation spreadeagled
across the pillow of life,
asea, dissarray on the billows
while the bellows roar
and the smoke stacks pour
before that final belch
relieves them of motion.
With a new world still in flux
beneath the mental horizon of the workless masses,
Carpe Diem’s drum attracts
when all else lacks -
save flailing, failing -
a short sale...

Welsh Highland Railway
A belch of smoke and steam,
and a whistle wail
we move with a clickty-clack along the rails.
Then with the train then gathering speed,
our journey begins with more whistle wails.
The carriage throws us around this way and that
as the old steam train rolls down the track.
Visions of happy days gone by,
with billowing smoke and steam.
Fragrancing the air on our ride
of nostalgic days and old ways.
As we ride the rails on a train
of the Welsh Highland Railway.

Endless Summer, Dazzling Autumn
It's oh so bittersweet
Endless summer is done
Sultry season is complete
So long fun-in-the-sun
Here comes a dazzling autumn
Trees of burnt orange and amber
Chimneys belch a gray column
Flying geese call out their banter
After we give words of praise
Family members new and old
Speak of the good ol' days
Yarns worthy of being retold
Let's eat, ain't you starving?
Bountiful Thanksgiving meal
That's a large bird you're carving
Finishing it all will be real ordeal
Soon old man winter will barge in
Short days followed by long nights
Decorating and shopping begin
Can't wait for the festival of lights

Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind
Cold fort worth beer just aint no good for jealous
Ive tried it night after night
Youre in someone elses arms in dallas
Does fort worth ever cross your mind
Darlin while youre busy burnin bridges
Burn one for me if you get time
Cause good memories dont fade so easy
Does fort worth ever cross your mind
You left me here to be with him in dallas
And I know ithurt you at the time
Well I wonder now if it makes a difference
Does fort worth ever cross your mind
You left me here to be with him in dallas
And I know it hurt you at the time
Well I wonder now if it makes a difference
Does fort worth ever cross your mind
Does fort worth ever, does fort worth ever
Does fort worth ever cross your mind

Indeed every monad must be different from every other. For there are never in nature two beings, which are precisely alike, and in which it is not possible to find some difference which is internal, or based on some intrinsic quality.

Leaving (Limerick)
To the people who visit this place
you ain't part of the same human race
my apologies to
the few normal ones who
have no reason to hide their own face.
As you talk of your greatness and verve
while you hide, since you don't have the nerve
when your punishment hits
you'll come down with the shits
may the Gods give you what you deserve.
I shall NOT single out for attention
certain scumbags, there's no need to mention
as you all know the Devil
will soon stoop to your level
and will take you away for detention.
You are welcome to find some more stuff
and make up some if IT ain't enough
as you eagerly search
for new things to besmirch
human beings, you huff and you puff.
As all cowards and backstabbers do
you will only feel safe in a crew
at the end of your bickers
you will poop in your knickers
like orang-outangs down at the Zoo.
So, in saying my final good bye,
I shall never be asking you why
as you cows belch your gasses
what comes out of cows' asses
will most certainly flavour your pie.
