The cost of congressional and presidential campaigns has been leaping every two or four years. I think this year it will be 60 percent more than 1996; well over twice as much as in 1992 in the presidential and congressional races.

Nowhere At All

Hey, if you're moving too fast
Don't you want this thing last
But if you start moving slow
Hey, pretty mama, you just will have to go
Because
It's nobody's business but my own
It's nobody's business but my own
No, no, no, no, ... no
No, no, no, no, ... no
But if you start acting mean
Then I'll have to mess up the scene
But if you start treating me nice
Hey now baby, I'm gonna have to raise your price
Because it's nobody's business but my own
No, no, no, no, ... no
No, no, no, no, ... no
Nobody's business, nobody's business
Come on now
It ain't nobody's business, nobody business
No, no, no no, nobody's business, no, no, ...
It ain't nobody's business, yeah, but my own
nobody's business, but my own, no, no, no, ...
nobody's business ...

Mind Your Own Business

Mind Your Own Business
(Words and music by Hank Williams, Sr.)
If the wife and I was fussin', brother that's our right
Me and that ole woman bought a license to fight
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If youmind your own business, you won't be mindin' mine.
Well, the woman on the party line's a nosey thing
She picks up her receiver when she knows it's my ring
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you mind your own business, you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
Well, I got a little girl that wears her hair up high
The boys all hollar when she walks by
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Just mind your own business, you wont be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
I may tell a lot of stories that may not be true
But I can get to Heaven just as easy as you
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, will you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Mind your business, and you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
Now, If I want to honky tonk 'til around two or three
Darlin' that's my headache, don't you worry 'bout me.
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Go on and mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you're mindin' your business, you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental---
Mindin' other people's business seems to be high-toned
Well, I got all that I can do just to mind my own
Mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you mind your businessmyou won't be mindin' mine.
Dear Lord, If you mind your business, you'll be busy all the time...

Too Much Monkey Business

Running to and fro,
Hard working at the mill,
Never failed at the mill,
There come a rotten bill.
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Salesman talking to me,
Trying to run me up a creek,
Says you can buy it, go on try it,
You can pay me next week.
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Blonde hair, good-looking,
Trying to get me hooked and married
Get a home, settle down by the book.
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Been to yokohama, baby,
Fighting in the war,
Army bunk, army chow,
Army clothes, army car.
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Same thing every day,
Getting up, going to school.
No need for me complaining,
My objection's overruled.
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved again.
Working in the filling station,
Too many tasks,
Wipe the windows, check the oil,
Check the tires, dollar gas?
Aw too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
Don't want you by the race,
Get away and leave me.
[original has one more verse:
Pay-phone, something's wrong,
Dime gone, will mail.
Oughta sue the operator
For telling me a tale.
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business,
Too much monkey business
For me to be involved with you

Left Behind

Sometimes when people are leaving a train,
Behind them, personal belongings still remain.
It is totally amazing what items are found
Each day, on London's busy Underground.

The shelves at Lost Property are very neatly lined,
With an array of items, that people have left behind.
Here are just some of the things, they have retrieved;
Some items really have to be seen, to be believed!

School bags, containing a flask and lunch box,
A stuffed Japanese puffer fish, and a stuffed fox.
Purses, leather wallets, and bunches of keys,
Hats, scarves, gloves, and numerous brollies.

Walking sticks, crutches, and the odd wheelchair,
An array of children's toys, including teddy bears,
Briefcases and folders, containing important notes,
A selection of clothing, including jumpers and coats.

iPads, iPhones, memory sticks, and laptops,
A collection of shoes, socks, and flip-flops.
A whole library of books: fiction and fact,
Suitcases and holdalls, still neatly packed.

Works of art, by artists, both modern and old,
Many items of jewellery, both silver and gold.
Prosthetic arms and legs, and sets of false teeth,
Bags of groceries, including joints of fresh beef.

Cameras, video-cams, and pairs of sunglasses.
Baby buggies, skateboards, train and bus passes.
Hundred of items are left behind every single day;
To Lost Property, these items soon make their way.

Some items, with their owners, are soon reunited;
Owners are very clearly relieved and delighted.
Some items wait for many weeks for collection;
For them, nobody seems to show any affection.

Refresh, Revive, Renew

Refresh, revive, renew...
And declare yourself,
You!
Detached and removed,
From a confusing deprivation.
Blocked and unlocked from it!
You can not return...
To burn.
To learn from consequences,
You alone earned.

Refresh, revive, renew...
And declare yourself,
You!
Back from a lack of confidence.
Unstrapped from incidents.
Caused by hasty indeciveness...
Rushing to prevent any form of movement.
Condoned and now done with it.

Refresh, revive, renew...
And declare yourself,
You!
If done now...
Your future becomes even brighter.
Even the light held you hold,
Can be held even higher.
Higher
Higher
Higher still!

Refresh, revive, renew...
And declare yourself,
You!
You are that spark,
Igniting to glow.
Show more of it!

Refresh, revive, renew...
You.

Sweat is sweet

Sweat is
A metabolic outcome
Of an exercise
In a bio system
Human sweat is salty
But it is really sweet
As once you sweat
You are going to gain

It indicates the effort
That goes on inside
More the sweat
Greater the effort

Sweat is not always
The water droplets
Seen on the surface of a body
It may be within
And it could be a emotional outburst
But ensure such emotions are
Positive, proactive and creative

Whatever it is
Sweat is synonymous with effort
Greater the effort
More the sweat
And sweeter the gain

Often we think of
Doing away with sweating
And you natrually are
Doing away with the effort
The gain of such an effort
Cannot be that sweet

We take pride in not having sweated
In achieving a gain
But such a gain is not
Really a gain

Sweat, but, enthusiastically
With love and affection
Towards the effort
With the understanding that
Sweating is no suffering
Let it be a voluntary struggle
With clear goal and destination
In mind
You will understand that
Sweat is sweet

Quickborn

'Quickborn', quick, born, Quinn, corn, knob, rob, Nick;
In power and with your body language to control the people around you!
But, put your items over here not to disturb your neighbour's property.

'Quickborn', bin, in, Inn, on, kin, Rick, cob, brick, or, no!
But, just a young adult like your type;
So, do not disturb your neighbour with your items.

Keep Your Business YOUR Business

Here's a word of advice,
For anyone wishing...
To keep their relationship,
Fresh and private.
And away from gossiped lips.

Keep,
Your business...
YOUR business.
And noses of 'friends',
Away from your door.

That goes for family too!
If you want your relationship,
To last as long...
As the two of you,
Want it to!

Keep,
Your business...
YOUR business.
And you and YOUR business,
Will find much success.
