The worst mistake of first contact, made throughout history by individuals on both sides of every new encounter, has been the unfortunate habit of making assumptions. It often proved fatal.

Black History Month

In January...
There they are making history.
In February...
There they are making history.
In March...
There they are making history.
In April...
There they are making history.
In May...
There they are making history.
In June...
There they are making history.
In July...
There they are making history.
In August...
There they are making history.
In September...
There they are making history.
In October...
There they are making history.
In November...
There they are making history.
In December...
There they are making history.

But...
It's nice to know
The shortest month of the year
Was chosen to celebrate
The great deeds of African-Americans!
However...
It is those LEAP YEARS,
That really have the blacks jumping for joy!

Doing Of It

Putting those assumptions most have aside,
The only one who really has the right to live a life...
The way they would like and decided,
Would be the one making their own way...
Through a thicket of weeds,
No one else has made efforts to remove...
With a proving done of an end result.

Anyone who believes,
A voicing of their opinion to leave and influence...
With assumptions mention,
Need only to do one of two things.
Either take one step or two away from 'themselves'.
To agree that a decision made by one,
And no one else can be done with one's doing of it.

Again.
And there is evidence of this.
There is nothing like,
The minding of one's own business...
That validates with a certainty,
One's own wishes.
Without direction suggested or requested,
From another.

And learn that when you do make a mistake, you'll surface that mistake so you can get it corrected, rather than trying to hide it and bury it, and it becomes a much bigger mistake, and maybe a fatal mistake.

The Worst Has Yet To Come

This is the last time
I'll bleed for you
I hold it all in
Cause you won't understand
It's easy for them to say
What I should do
I can't see the world
Through my jaded eyes
My faded broken gaze
Im afraid I'll see
The mistake I made
That I'll always regret
[chorus]
The worst has yet to come
I took your heart
And fumbled it
I don't want to feel this way
Just need to get away
I said Im sorry I
Made a big mistake
Who is it now?
She came in my life
Took my hand and
Showed me her love
I know she's there
I can feel her breathin'
[chorus]
Wow what a girl
Such a beautiful girl
She saved my eyes
And I won't forget that
The worst has yet to come

Karl Popper

Before we as individuals are even conscious of our existence we have been profoundly influenced for a considerable time (since before birth) by our relationship to other individuals who have complicated histories, and are members of a society which has an infinitely more complicated and longer history than they do (and are members of it at a particular time and place in that history); and by the time we are able to make conscious choices we are already making use of categories in a language which has reached a particular degree of development through the lives of countless generations of human beings before us. . . . We are social creatures to the inmost centre of our being. The notion that one can begin anything at all from scratch, free from the past, or unindebted to others, could not conceivably be more wrong.

Your Biggest Mistake

What do you think inside your head
I want to know
Do you think this
Could end up breaking you
You life is a time bomb
Set to explode
You talk out your ass
And everyone knows
For once you should listen
Or care what i think
Or I'll be gone before you can blink
Everyones told you
Over and over again
You're making the biggest mistake of your life
Everyones told you
Everyone you left behind
You're making the biggest mistake of you life
Everyone knows that
Your afraid of missing out
And I know that its hard for you
To swallow down
The while world you've vreated
Is set to explode
You lie throught you teeth
And everyone knows
For once you should listen
Or care what I think
Or you'll stay stuck in the web your trapped in
Everyones told you
Over and over again
You're making the biggest mistake of your life
Everyoes told you
Everyone you left behind
You're making the biggest mistake of your life
Its a chance
You should take
And I know that its not
An easy one to make
You should trust the ones
That are closest to you
Everyones told you
Over and over again
You're making the biggest mistake of your life
Everyone told you
Everyone you left behind
You're making the biggest mistake of your life
(Your life)
The biggest mistake of your life

Ease Appeases With a Bit of Tease

Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.

Relax!
Find that place,
Where you can go...
Within.
To bring outside of yourself,
A comfort shown to shine without end.

You seem to be hiding inside too much.
And not enough of you,
Is believed or known.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.

Relax!
First impressions,
Aren't always the best to leave.
Especially when some expect magic...
Unnatural miracles and a tap dance,
Done comfortably.

Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.

Relax!
Just be you.
You will be surprise by how enchanting,
The unseen you can be,
To dazzle others unexpectedly.
When ease appeases with a bit of tease.

Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.

And relax.
Know ease appeases with a bit of tease.
Just be you,
To dazzle others unexpectedly.

Assumptions you have held and chosen...
Know they must go.
Those assumptions you have held and chosen,
Know they must go.
Release them to go.
And...
Relax.
Know ease appeases with a bit of tease.

Direction

There was a girl in misery,
Undecided what she should be,
She stalked a man with mastery,
Hoping to learn from what she'd see,
She made the choices he did make,
Hoping that she could claim his fate,
It turned out it was a mistake,
But she realised this too late,
She went in a new direction,
But got lost once she had begun,
Following an introspection,
She saw her aim could not be done,
So chose to follow a woman,
And copied her every movement,
But it proved to be a bad plan,
Which did not aid her contentment,
For guidance she turned to a book,
But didn't like how things were put,
And regretted taking a look,
Because her failure was afoot,
She found this a wretched concept,
For she feared a life of regret,
So on with her struggle she kept,
Albeit with a new mindset,
In the end things turned out all right,
However it came at a price,
Which all too soon did come to light,
Since it proved to be her worst vice,
She discovered she could not smile,
Which caused her life to go awry,
For people thought she was hostile,
And would not look her in the eye.

If I Had You

(alan jackson/jim mcbride)
If I could have you
I know what Id do
This time Id be true
If I had you
If you could be mine
Id walk that straight line
Thered be no bad times
If I had you
I made the worst mistake
One fool could ever make
Tell me its not too late
What can I do
If I could hold you tight
Id have the world tonight
Everything would be alright
If I had you
I made the worst mistake
One fool could ever make
Tell me its not too late
What can I do
If I could hold you tight
Id have the world tonight
Everything would be alright
If I had you
Everything would be alright
If I had you

Habit is harmful

Form a habit.
Habit gives you pleasure.
In between, break it.
Otherwise,
It turns to be compulsive
Then, obsessive
And then compulsive.
It will be your fatal end.

Rather Not Be Bothered

There is nothing about redundancy,
I'd like to review.
It seems so...repetitive,
And recycled.
Like a bad habit used to amuse...
And excused as accepted.
This gets as old as hearing 5th graders,
Threatening to run away from home!
I tried that myself.
Until I got tired of saying the same thing over again.
And arriving back just around supper time.
I was getting the hint!
With or without my presence...
Time was going to be taken to eat!
And my absence was getting a bit too familiar!
So I adapted to other tactics.
None proved to be tear worthy.
Only my own seemed to flow!
I was awakened quite early in life!
Redundancy provides a similar comfort!
Until something drastic...
Like growing up happens.
Or the realization that the same routines,
Seldon provide new observers.
And those familiar with these acts...
Have lost a desire to express empathy!
Or a wish to make eye contact.
It's a clue they would rather not be bothered.
Thanks to God I found better usages for my time.
Or I'd be totally dependent on making excuses,
For myself and my actions.

Glue

joins two things together

even by mistake

Prior to an individual's encounter with the love of God at a particular time in history, however, there has to be another, more fundamental and archetypal encounter, which belongs to the conditions of possibility of the appearance of divine love to man.

Chemistry

Words by geddy lee, alex lifeson, and neil peart,
Music by geddy lee and alex lifeson
Signals transmitted
Message received
Reaction making impact ---
Invisibly
Elemental telepathy
Exchange of energy
Reaction making contact ---
Mysteriously
Eye to i
Reaction burning hotter
Two to one
Reflection on the water
H to o
No flow without the other
Oh but how
Do they make contact
With one another?
Electricity? biology?
Seems to me its chemistry
Emotion transmitted
Emotion received
Music in the abstract ---
Positively
Elemental empathy
A change of synergy
Music making contact ---
Naturally
One, two, three ---
Add without subtraction
Sound on sound
Multiplied reaction
H to o
No flow without the other
Oh but how
Do we make contact
With one another?

Is The Battle Worth Fighting?

some individuals fight battles
with other individuals needlessly
some individuals are never long
content with getting their own way
some individuals fight ferociously
to dominate all those around about

some individuals who cannot safe vent dominate
their own desires seek to next dominate all others
some individuals who cannot control own emotions
seek to control all within range sphere of influence
