Power is no blessing in itself, except when it is used to protect the innocent.

Protect Me From What I Want
Its that desease of the age
Its that desease that we crave
Alone at the end of the race
We catch the last bus home
Corporate america wakes
Coffee republic in case
We open the latch on the gate
Of the hole that we call our home
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Maybe were victims of fate
Remember when wed celebrate
Wed drink and get high until late
And now were all alone
Wedding bells aint gonna chime
With both of us guilty of crime
And both of us sentenced to time
And now were all alone
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want...
Protect me protect me

Innocent World
I used to live in an innocent world
I had a car and a pretty blond girlfriend
We was too young to know what we were doing
And anyway I was just fooling around
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
With a cute little monkey on my back
And a total disregard for the facts
Id run away and never get back
From my innocent world
There aint no reason to tell no lie
When youre young and youve got a lot of pie
Now I slink around like a killer
The things they say are just a lot of filler
In my mind, in my mind
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Running, laughing in the sun
And always having lots of fun
Smoking dope and just being young
In my innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
Innocent innocent innocent world
With a cute little monkey on my back
And a total disregard for the facts
Id run away and never get back
From my innocent world

Even Me
Written by roberta martin / fanny crosby
Lord I hear of showers of blessings
Thou art scattering full and free
Showers the thirsty souls refreshing
Let some drops now fall on me
Pass me not oh gentle saviour
Sinful though my heart may be
I am longing for your favor
Whilst thou art blessing
Oh lord
Come on and bless me
Even me lord
Even me
Even me lord
Even me
Let some drops
Let some drops
Whilst thou art blessing
Oh lord
Stop by and bless me
Oh stop by lord
Yes and bless me
Bless me
Protect me
Direct me
Even me lord
I need you
To come on down
And bless me
Sinful though my heart may be
I need you to come down
And bless me
Yes
While
Whilst thou art blessing
While you are in the blessing business today
Not tomorrow
I need you today
Yeah
Bless me
Protect me
Direct me
Even me lord
To stop by
Just drop by
Oh lord lord lord lord lord lord lord
Bless me
Even me
Even me lord
Yeah
I need a blessing
I need a blessing
I need a blessing lord

All Innocent Souls Saved
There are many countless
who will not now act
to defend youth innocence
to protect innocent souls
in a religion their acclaimed faith
a temple a church a mosque
preferring choosing
to holy reputation protect
instead of protecting lives
protecting innocent souls
while our creator watches
all names in the Book of Life

The Child Within Me
Your so fragile and innocent
Like armor that can prevent any dent,
So hard as a rock to protect thee,
Yes, to protect the child within me.

Once I Was
Once
you clapped
for me.
Now
you clap
for another.
Once
I was
your luck.
Now
your luck
is gone.
Now
your luck
is lost.
Once
I was your
Blessing.
Now
your blessing
is gone.
Now
your blessing
is lost.
Once
a blessing
in disguise.
Now
a blessing
denied.
Soon
your blessing
is leaving.
Soon
a blessing
in departure.
Soon
a blessing
no more.

Let's Protect Them
Those animals who are so badly abused,
Please everyone, let's protect them;
For those scared puppies and kittens confused,
Let's all agree, and really protect them.
For those poor whales swimming and are caught,
Let's please, stick with me to protect them;
To stop the cruelty to them, for their bodies are they bought,
Yes'. Please every one, agree to protect them.
For those seals so far away, of whom are killed,
Please everyone do try with me to protect them;
To stop the cruelty of how their blood is spilt,
Please most certainly agree to protect them.
For the bears and cubs, locked in chains,
Let's all agree to really go to protect them;
The cruel owners, and no one explains,
Let's try all, to get help to protect them.
For the dogs and cats, away in a farm,
Lets each one say no, but protect them;
Each time we hear of this cruelty, ring the alarm,
Then agree everybody, yes! We will protect them.

The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.
The Power to Touch Lives
Do you
have
the power
to
touch lives?
Are you defeated
in
every second
of
every hour?
Is your heart withholding the keys
to put many out of their miseries?
Were you created to make somebody see
what their purpose in life is suppose to be?
Were you put down here to be of some help
to uplift when others can't do it for themselves?
Have you answered your calling,
which was to keep others from falling?
Do you have any power?
Is your power distorted in some way?
Are you destroying souls
by
what you do
and
what you say?
Is the power
of
Life and Death
within
your tongue?
Then tell me
why do you choose
to
use it like
a gun?
Do you have the power
to
enlighten others,
who just might
be
a sister or a brother
of
another color?
Were you
created
to be
a blessing?
So until this time,
you would've
still been
guessing
Please let me know
when you will believe,
that
you have the power,
to help those in need
You have the power
to encourage
someone to succeed
So Yes,
You have,
the
'Power to Touch Lives'
If I've said it once,
now
I've said it twice

Protection
We don't need protection from terrorists anymore.
What we protection from is never-ending war.
Protect us from the propaganda.
Proect us from the lies.
Protect us from the legislation
set up to tyrannize.
Protect us from the vaccines
that cause more harm than good.
Protect us from the violence
that comes from Hollywood.
Protect us from injustice
emanating from the courts.
Protect our kids from drug enhancements
while they're playing sports.
Protect us from illegals taking all our jobs.
Protect us from the gangs and all the angry mobs.
Protect us from the wealthy who never have enough.
The terrorists are not coming.
It's time to call their bluff.
We don't need protection from terrorists anymore.
What we need protection from is right within our shore.

There Is Nothing Wrong With Power
'Tis sad to think that many with power abuse it those with power who abuse it weak not strong
There is nothing wrong with having power in the first place it is the abuse of it that is all wrong
For the abuse of power leads to serious crimes against the powerless though power in good hands it is quite okay
And good people with power never do abuse it they use it in the most constructive way
Some people with power are quite benign people and philanthropic one of them can say
But those who abuse their power to the law may never answer though to karma there's a price they have to pay
The abuse of power leads to dictatorial regimes that leads to serious crimes against humanity
In the despicable crimes against women and children the wrongs of power gone wrong for all to see
The people who abuse their power should never have it though to their power they desperately do cling
Power in the right hands an adavantage to others and power in the wrong hands is a dangerous thing
There is nothing wrong with power from once 'tis used well but some with power they do abuse their rule
And some with power they can become quite nasty and derive pleasure out of being cruel
But power in the right hands can be a blessing and kind people with power their praise we ought sing
Since they have the gift of empathy within them and happiness to others they do bring.

Opening Scenerio
Someone takes a job volunteering,
To protect a segment of a neighborhood...
Where those living in it have allowed crime to nourish,
To ignore as if to encourage it.
The volunteer carries a gun.
Not only to protect himself.
But everyone living in this neighborhood infested,
To protect them from thugs and common thieves.
No one else wanted to volunteer to protect themselves,
FROM 'themselves'.
Someone decides they want to play 'thug' for the night.
Inviting confrontation.
That person gets shot.
And no one pours out from inside their bolted doors,
To rush to see what was going on.
Does it really matter who is or is not innocent?
When wild animals are running around rampant in a zoo?
And there is only ONE zookeeper 'volunteering'...
To protect those living in the safety of their locked cages,
While he...
The volunteer,
On personal time no one else seems to have the guts to find!
That is just the opening scenerio to this familiar saga.
It just happens to have gotten nationwide media coverage.
There is slime smeared all over the place...
Others rush to protect their kept delusions from public disgrace.
But...
Never to be examined are the facts from a broader view.
Or...
The originating of these dangers.
'Let us pray.
Help us to continue to stay blind for as long as possible,
To the facts of life. With a denial we desire to hold onto...
Everlasting. For many generations to come.'

No Way Out
Damn
I would have never thought it ever woulda been like this
Life is crazy
God -- please watch over my family
Please protect em
Forgive my enemies -- for they know not what they do
Please lord -- forgive me for my sins, and protect me from evil
For thou art the kingdom, the power, and the glory
Now and forever
In your name we pray
Amen

The Pride Of A Proud Man
The pride of a proud man
can be a blessing or a curse.
Blessing or curse to himself his
family rarely to an entire land.
Pride cometh before expected fall how
now will pillar obelisk power be recalled?

Two Innocent Men
Two innocent men walk into each other’s paths,
A crime made a spectacle of them both,
A cell of squalor occupied them after much hope,
And the end of life happened all-of-a-sudden.
These men were names that sought no corruption,
But the hypocrites blamed them for their high-approach;
The accusers claimed a prize for the world to know
That their judgement was the best, the very holy one.
But no holiness or blessing could reach them!
Just this was not asked, just this was the only dispute!
We are those two innocent men today
And we will remember them for their special life.

What You Already Own
I give you my heart broken and bruised
It's still beating strong and wanting to trust you
I know I'm unfaithful
I know I do wrong
Do you protect what you already own?
I give you my body
Naked and meek
Burning with passion
Human and weak
What You Already Own
...as sung by Amy Grant
I try to be faithful
then I go wrong
Can you protect what you already own?
Can you protect what you already own?
I know I'm unfaithful
I know I do wrong
Do you protect what you already own?
I give you my life
Precious and rare
Knowing wherever I've been, you were there
Sometimes I'm faithful
Sometimes I'm strong
Will you protect what you already own?
I will be faithful
Help me be strong
'Cause you will protect what you already own
You still protect what you already own
