The Pride Of A Proud Man

The pride of a proud man
can be a blessing or a curse.

Blessing or curse to himself his
family rarely to an entire land.

Pride cometh before expected fall how
now will pillar obelisk power be recalled?

Blessing In Disguise

Are you lonely?
Are you Crying?
Are those teardrops in your eyes
is it more blues, is is bad news,
is it a curse?, or a blessing in disguise.
Did you leave him?, do you love him?
Have you said your, said your last goodbyes
Is it over, hey
are you sorry?
Could it be a blessing in disguise
It's the scars that make you stronger
It's the hard times that make you rise,
It's the sweet things that only time bring, yeah
Gonna ride back a blessing in disguise
Ooooooooohhhhh!
Clouds roll by, and bring the rain
tears wiped dry to ease the pain
oh!
Are you lonely?
Are you Crying?
Are those teardrops in your eyes
is it more blues, is is bad news,
is it a curse?, or a blessing in disguise.
Is it a curse or a blessing in disguise
Is it a curse or a blessing in disguise
Is it a curse or a blessing in disguise

Wealth is not of necessity a curse, nor poverty a blessing. Wholesome and easy abundance is better than either extreme; better for our manhood that we have enough for daily comfort; enough for culture, for hospitality, for charity. More than this may or may not be a blessing. Certainly it can be a blessing only by being accepted as a trust.

Truth Hurts

You know my will is broken
Youve got my heart on hold
Im lying here in pieces, so cold
It gets so hard to handle
All the things you need to say
But I guess I heard it all before anyway
Is love such a blessing or a curse
Either way
Truth hurts
Well therell be no more running
Now Ive got you face to face
I want to know who youve been loving in my place
You say I had it coming
Try to hold my head up high
Love gave me wings and left me paralyzed
Theres nothing left alive
As we watch the spirits die
The world keeps turning
My heart keeps learning
Do you know where the guilty sleep
Babe Ive got my pride
Somehow I will survive
The world keeps turning
My heart keeps learning
Do you know where the lonely sleep tonight
Another fallen angel
How far I just cant tell
Living without love is a living hell
Why is love such a blessing or a curse
Baby either way
Truth hurts
Babe Ive got my pride
Somehow I will survive
My heart keeps learning
Dont know which is worse
But one thing that I know
Truth hurts

Do You Accept All Returns?

The sage raps of his anger;
His anger toward the world.
The world where his curse
is considered his blessing.

A blessing to know death?
A blessing to be shunned?
Do you accept all returns?
He decided on ignorance!

From The Nation Israel

It is The Lord who reigns on high, directing the lives of you and I,
Blessing those who come to Him, rebuking all, who remain in sin,
The same applies to nations too, in a promise to a righteous Jew,
Within God’s Promise to Abraham, He’ll bless or curse each land.

All God’s purposes He shall fulfill, through that tiny land of Israel,
Recalling His purpose and plan, which God revealed to Abraham.
Each nation that blesses his land, will be blessed by God’s hand,
And those that curse his country, God will curse for all of eternity.

In a land Abraham never possessed, all Israel will yet be blessed,
As the chosen land is given to, the peoples that God intended to,
And all the nations of this world, shall see the peace yet unfurled,
As the chosen Seed of Abraham, reigns from the Promised Land.

A land promised to only one, and his decedents through The Son,
Chosen at the world’s foundation, to reveal to all God’s Salvation,
It was in that land that Jesus Christ, became for God our sacrifice,
To reconcile, all the world to Him, by forgiving all men, of their sin.

From that land blessing will flow, to all nations who come to know,
Christ, who will reign from Israel, on His Throne, on God’s Holy Hill.
Cursed nations will be no more, as Christ rules from shore to shore,
With a Peace that will not end, and well beyond a Millennium friend.

O' What A Curse

Each Teardropp That I Cry
Each Sigh That I Make
Each Breath That I Take
Is Not Worth This Fate

To Fall For Someone Is A Blessing Alone
But To Fall For One Who Will Never Love You
Is A Curse Unknown

Not Even My Worst Enemy
I Would Wish This Fate
Not Even The Devil
Could Handle This Heartbreak

Desperation And Hope
Heartbroken And Alone
Love And Rejection
Will I Ever Be An Exception?

I Love Him My Friends
I Really Do
But O' What A Curse
For Him To Never Say
I Love You Too

Reed, Greed!

Reed, greed!
Greed like a pride is the curse of mankind;
Purse, curse!
And to buttress our inalienable rights.
Stress, buttress!
But, i am dressed like a school boy waiting for my teacher;
However, realistic is my name.
Feed, heed!
And, you are dressed like a school girl on my love;
But, in truthfulness is the eloquence of your muse.
Note, wrote!
But, the pride of greediness is the curse of mankind.

Once I Was

Once
you clapped
for me.

Now
you clap
for another.

Once
I was
your luck.

Now
your luck
is gone.

Now
your luck
is lost.

Once
I was your
Blessing.

Now
your blessing
is gone.

Now
your blessing
is lost.

Once
a blessing
in disguise.

Now
a blessing
denied.

Soon
your blessing
is leaving.

Soon
a blessing
in departure.

Soon
a blessing
no more.

My child..

My child is my pride n joy
My hope n future
She is why I wake up with a smile
And he is why my sun shines bright
My child is my honeysuckle and candy floss
My sugar coated oats n honey...
All wrapped in one!
She is my consolation, him, my triumph
My child is my blessing, never a curse
She is my 'better', him, my 'hero'
My child is...my own.

Blessing In Disguise

Blessing in disguise

You were late for the office The bomb exploded on time

Thanks God! You were saved Every delay sometimes
Has its blessing.

So every time There is delay, do not curse,

Who knows? there might be Some reasons

who knows? Someone up there still cares for you.

Is yours an honest lament?...Most are not, you know. Most self-imposed burdens are founded on misperceptions. We - at least we of sincere character - always judge ourselves by stricter standards than we expect others to abide by. It is a curse, I suppose, or a blessing, depending on how one views it... Take it as a blessing, my friend, an inner calling that forces you to strive to unattainable heights.

Pride Cometh Before the Fall

Humility was discussing Pride with Heart:
Heart had decided Pride was a great asset.
Discretion chimed in with a hearty disagreement,
“You roll in the pit with this swine! ”
Humility was being denied his rightful place.
Prudence, the brother of Discretion,
Had been outlawed throughout the land
As soon as Pride convinced Heart
That it was he who should take Prudence’s place.
Mistrust had been bound and gagged while he attempted to speak his piece
But Ignorance was allowed to stay.
Knowledge and Experience tried to warn Heart
But he could not see as Pride blocked his view,
Keeping Heart’s attention for his plan.
Now there was only one thing left to do.
Superstition was led to the far reaches of the dwelling
All the while crying out the time old saying,
“Pride cometh before the fall, ” but no one could hear it.
“Ah, ” Pride sighed with relief, “peace and quiet at last! ”
Unbeknownst, there was a rebellious force rising
To defeat that pig called Pride.
He was being a hog with Heart.
A plan was laid and put into play.
There was a knock on Heart’s door and Pride,
Thinking he’d rid this dwelling of rebels,
Gladly offered the guest to enter.
Only, his friend Ignorance was not at this door, no,
Love entered. Pride sprang to his feet,
“You? ! ? What are you doing here? ! ? ”
“I would like a meeting with Heart, if you’d be so kind.”
Heart, having just spoken with Sincere and Individual,
Decided for himself to let Love have his desired appointment.
Heart had a long stay with Love and
With much dismay, Pride knew he had been beaten.
For as the saying goes, “Love conquers all! ”
And now we know: Pride surely cometh before the fall...
Just no one ever mentioned it was the fall into Love.

One with Darkness

When ever I go out I go out fighting
Screaming for chance to finally end up dying
I have to murder to fulfill my end of this deal
Death is imminent, but something that I’ll never feel.

This is my curse, this is my curse
Sign upon the bloody line I should’ve thought of first
This is my curse, this is my curse
This is my curse, this is my curse
Killing for a living this can’t get any worse
This is my curse, this is my curse

How can I ever love someone else
When murder is my life, and I can’t even love myself
Every night I wake up next to another dead whore
Someone please stop me I don’t want to murder anymore

For Better Or Worse

Verse1:
You could walk behind me
Or you could hold my hand
You could know me fully
Or never understand
And you can drive me crazy
Like only you can
Lifes blessing, lifes curse,
For better or worse
Verse2:
You could leave me stranded
Or hold me with your eyes
Come home empty handed
Or with a brilliant surprise
And you could sing me love songs
Or just make me blue
Lifes blessing, lifes curse,
For better or worse
Im with you
Bridge:
Sure there are plenty of fish in the sea
Flocks of birds on the rise
Baby, not for me
cause I live in paradise
Verse3:
And if harms way found you
You know Id be there
To wrap my love around you
To let you know I care
And when the angels came down
Id say dont you dare
You know not what you do
May God take me first
For better or worse
I love you
May God take me first
For better or worse
I love you

Pride

A stone cast into the sky
Must surely fall down to the earth
No matter how greenish the grass is
It is a rich delicacy to herds
Monkey defies instruction to be cautious
It ends up climbing trees beyond branches
Pride and damnation are borne twins
Accolades based on pride leads to fall
Beauty anchors on pride vanishes
No proud can see God
The rewards of pride are
Shame, dishonour, rejection....
Pride descreates throne
A king with garment of pride
Will end up naked at market square
A prince riding on a horse with countenance
Will be trodden upon on the street
If people are hailing you;
If the world urges you on;
Beware, make youself humble
For no one queue behind the proud
A word is enough.......

G.K. Chesterton

Alone

Blessings there are of cradle and of clan,
Blessings that fall of priests' and princes' hands;
But never blessing full of lives and lands,
Broad as the blessing of a lonely man.

Though that old king fell from his primal throne,
And ate among the cattle, yet this pride
Had found him in the deepest grass, and cried
An 'Ecce Homo' with the trumpets blown.

And no mad tyrant, with almighty ban,
Who in strong madness dreams himself divine,
But hears through fumes of flattery and of wine
The thunder of this blessing name him man.

Let all earth rot past saints' and seraphs' plea,
Yet shall a Voice cry through its last lost war,
'This is the world, this red wreck of a star,
That a man blessed beneath an alder-tree.'

Arrogance Of Man

arrogance of man is a defect
what you see is what you get
they say pride comes before the fall
some can not see this at all

pride in accomplishments
pride in family
pride in self
are all good atributes
unless others are treated inferior
never looking beyond their exterior

we are all equal under gods eyes
and we all will one day die
be kind to one another
and not let arrogance
cause decay
it was never meant to be that way

Stars Didn't Show

we came from miles around
just to listen to your sound
you made the night seem endless
you cast a magic spell
you played the part so well
your music blew away the darkness
we loved you for better
we loved you for worse
but we never took you for granted
your lives were a blessing
but they carried a curse
the night that the stars didn't show
you made me stand so proud
i was lifted from the crowd
the fire inside me burning
the figure dressed in black
sending shivers down my back
deep inside my soul was stirring
we loved you for better
we loved you for worse
the sweet inspiration that you gave us
and i can remember we didn't rehearse
the night that the stars didn't show
mountains may crumble
and worlds fall apart
lovers and friends may desert me
the road may be long
but i know in my heart
your spirit will always be with me
the thrill to be up there
a sea of faces everywhere
i look i find you
we loved you for better
we loved you for worse
but we never took you for granted
your lives were a blessing
but they carried a curse
the night that the stars didn't show
we loved you for better
we loved you for worse
the sweet inspiration that you gave us
and i can remember we didn't rehearse
the night that the stars didn't show
