The professional world was much more unpleasant than I thought. I was always wishing I could get back that enthusiasm I had when I was doing shows at college.

Wishing You Were Here
Sleepless hours and dreamless nights and far aways
Ooo ooo ooo, wishing you were here
Heaven knows and lord it shows when Im away
Ooo ooo ooo, wishing you were here
Same old show in a different town on another time
Ooo ooo ooo, wishing you were here
Even though youre far away, youre on my mind

And Id like to change my life, and you know I would
Just to be with you tonight, baby, if I could
But Ive got my job to do, and I do it well,
So I guess thats how it is.

On the road its a heavy load, but Ill get by

Pay the price, make a sacrifice, and still Ill try

You look at shows like The Simpsons or Larry Sanders or Curb Your Enthusiasm or Seinfeld, they're really sophisticated shows that we all love back home.

A professional player is smarter than a college man. He uses his noodle. He knows what to do and when to do it. He rarely goes up in the air as is the case with most of our college players when they get in a tight place.

A Most Unpleasant Man
Well, I'll rise above, once I forget,
What it was like then before we met,
I had no dreams,
There was no plan,
You see it's just that I am,
A most unpleasant man,
And now it all has come to pass,
I guess I knew it couldn't last,
And now I'm back to where I began,
And once again I've become,
A most unpleasant man,
Where would I go if you weren't here?
I'll try to find you everywhere,
Remeber me, not as I am,
But how I was as your truest friend,
Remeber me, not as I am,
How did I ever become,
A most unpleasant man?
I'll see you later baby...

Wishing long live the butterflys
Wishing you were free
Wishing going wherever you see
Wishing life isnt plain
Wishing you have no pain
Wishing you can breath
Wishing you cant leave
Wishing you can stay
Wishing you can fly
Wishing you have the whole day
Wishing to watch the clouds pass by
Wishing you were a butterfly

Wishin' I Was There
Take your hand
And place it in my pocket
Flick your eyes back in their sockets
Put those thoughts away
Sometimes they're much too loud.
I'll take a breath
And cradle your sweet head
Should've stayed at home in bed
Put that face away
I'm melting for you
[chorus]>[/chorus]
I dreamt
About another girl in bed with you
You just laughed and smiled
Denied the proof
We're fine 'till I think of the problem (heh)
I wish it made sense
Like a joke that no one gets
It's a life without regret
I want it to feel that way, forever and ever
[repeat chorus]
No, don't say you love me
Don't say you need me
I really don't think that's fair
Oh, I'm not so dumb
But when you leave me
I'll be wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there with you
Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there
Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there with you

Accepting
I too had sat,
Wishing that an 'is'...
Wasn't.
And living through those experiences...
That came to stay in my head,
And wouldn't from me leave!
I too had sat,
Wishing that an 'is'...
Wasn't.
And I could close my eyes,
With a squeeziing out...
Of anything unpleasant!
I too had sat,
Wishing that an 'is'...
Wasn't.
With a beginning again,
Of an 'is'...
Meant.
And forever I would live...
A life free of unexpected grief and sorrow.
And yet...
Those yesterdays came and went.
Leaving me to learn and grow...
Accepting some things I just could not reject!
And not be afraid to do...
The accepting.
Even if I wept or was swept up in a happiness,
In the doing of it.

The Old Wishing Well
Oh wishing well, oh wishing
Well
Will you answer me truly
If I dropp a quarter down large
Mouth
Will you answer me truly
Oh wishing well, oh wishing
Well
I want to know if my future
Look grim
Or that of a happy life ending
Will I travel the open seas
To all the exotic islands
Will I travel the world making
My imprint on life
Will I find love in mall
Or maybe my travel afar
Here I go oh wishing well
I'm eager to know my fate
Time for my wish oh wishing
Well
So
I dropped a quarter into the wishing
Well
So excited was I
It began tumble and twirl
I can see my reflection all so well
Down
This black hole that is turning
The wishing well “said to me”
Your life will be long maybe
Prosperous
You're travel the world end to
End..
Will I find my true love that
Wait's?
Well the wishing well tumble for a
Second
'And said to me'
Just dropp me a silver dollar
Than I can tell all that you
Seek..
So I ran into my house and
Went into my big jar and found
Me silver dollar
I ran back to the wishing well and
Drop that silver dollar
That old wishing well just said to me
“Thank you kindly'
But
Next time don’t believe an old
Wishing well like me
For I have grown old and ran out
Of wishes..
And wishes don't always come true..

Domino College
By: jimmy buffett, dan fogelberg
1986
Found myself a matchbook
Beside some hotel bed
Opened it up and looked inside
And this is what it said
Chorus:
Get on back to school
Domino college, back to school
Boneyard full of knowledge
W-w-w-orking vacation in a third world nation
Back to school (going back to school, going back, back to school)
Fly down to miami
Get yourself a boat
Fill it full of suntan oil
And rent yourself a goat
Aint no registration
Aint no student loan
You may not learn to read or write
But you will surely learn to roll dem bones
Chorus:
Get on back to school
Domino college, back to school
Boneyard full of knowledge
W-w-w-orking vacation in a third world nation
Back to school (going back to school, going back, back to school)
They dont rap your knuckles
If you cut the class
They just track you through the jungle boy
Then they kick your ass
Its a different kind of domino theory
They teach you down in butler town
If you lose you buy the booze
And then the student body all falls down
Chorus:
They cant get back to school
Domino college, back to school
Fountain of knowledge
W-w-w-orking vacation in a third world nation
Back to school (going back, back to school)
Get on back
Make your parents hate you
Be a big disgrace
Act just like a domino
And fall on your face
Chorus:
You cant get back to school
Domino college, back to school
Fountain of knowledge
There aint no graduation from this kind of education
Back to school (going back, back to school)
W-w-w-orking vacation in a third world nation
Back to school (going back, back to school)
Be true to your school
-- spoken:
Oh, jan & dean be true to your school. big six, big six, whose got it? goddamn robert when you gonna play man, hey man, say, you know whose turn it is.
Coda:
Back to school (going back to school) repeat and fade

I always thought after 2002 that I'd hang up my skates and turn professional and just go on tour and do shows. But I don't know when it is enough. I mean, I still enjoy it. I'm the luckiest girl alive that I get to perform in front of thousands of people, do what I love doing.

Unpleasant
Unpleasant for some,
Is a truth that is spoken.
Unpleasant it may be,
For those fantasized with delusions protected.
Although they hide them from being criticized.
Truth is neither negative or positive.
It exists to be just that.
And those unaccustomed,
To know it for what it is.
Will always deny it a visit.
But it will come to sit...
Regardless who finds it to be unpleasant.

Workin' Man (Nowhere To Go)
Wishing well, wish me well
on a dream bought with a penny
wishing well, time will tell
I can see that there are so many
lonely faces stare from your pool
and I can\'t bear to see a fool tonight
so make it right wishing well
wishing well, could you tell, as I stood beside her
did you know she would go
then why did you hide it
if you knew then I\'d be without her now
you could have let me know somehow
can\'t wish and tell, wishing well
wishing well, cast a spell, send her love\'s sweet emotion
do your part, touch her heart with truest devotion
If there\'s a chance, I won\'t believe we\'re thru
show me wishes still come true
it\'s up to you, wishing well
Show me wishes still come true,
It\'s up to you, wishing well
its up to you, wishing well
it\'s up to you, wishing well
