Unhappy With Their Normalities

They claim 'them' to be dysfunctional?
And the purpose for that is what?
To prove themselves less moronic?
Because those who they say are dysfunctional,
Seem to make less doctor appointments.
Place no visits to prisons.
Have the respect of their friends, family and children.
Work and donate time to volunteer.
And appear to be living that life that is wished.

'You know?
I think they are right!
Those who oppose to their way of life.
They are dysfunctional.
Compared to how life today is lived.
And what it is like to live it right!

But,
If 'they' are dysfunctional...
Why are so many unhappy with their normalities? '

Give Them That Right To Stand Out And Shine

When one begins a life,
Of obvious habitual lieing...
They should be encouraged to continue.
Nothing of merit to be labelled credible,
Will be coming from them anyway.

So why should anyone assume,
These people do not have mental issues?
And can be rehabilitated,
To fit in a dysfunctional society like the rest of us!
Give them that right to stand out and shine!

Something I've Accepted

Why have you continued and permitted,
Those negative comments said about you...
With such a tolerance?
Why not refute them as you should do.
Or at least argue against their existence.

'Remember when you discovered,
My ambitions were realistic?
And I pretended to be the fool,
You insisted me to be?
And with no resistance? '

But...
I really didn't know that other side of you.

'Which one?
The fool, the realistic or the sadomasochistic? '

What are you saying?
You derive pleasure from that?

'After years of endearing my character being attacked,
It has become something I've accepted.
Without anyone knowing that! '

Wouldn't you be more respected,
If facts about you were to others made known?

'Perhaps.
But the enjoyment I get,
Is in the laughing I give back.
Especially when the facts of my life,
Are exposed and to others shown.'

That's sick.

'From who's perspective?
Now you're trying to qualify,
The degree in which I achieve my pleasure.'

There is something 'dysfunctional' about you.

'Something?
Are you kidding?
'Everything' is dysfunctional about me.
Have you heard me complaining about it? '

No.
No...
I haven't.

'Then continue to consider me a fool.
I love it.'

The Barry Williams Show

Lets go
One man at the window
One girl at the bar
Saw that look of recognition
When they know just who you are
I seen you on the tv
I seen you on that show
You make the people crazy
And then you let them go
Before the show we calm them
We sympathise, we care
And the hostile folk we keep apart
til the red light says on air
Did you see our leather lovers
All tied up to the chair
Did you catch those child molesters
No one else goes there
What a show, the barry williams show
What a show,
Dysfunctional excess
Is all it took for my success
The greater pain that they endure
The more you know the show will scored
Its showtime
Got the reputation of a surgeon
cos they cannot feel the cut
It looks so very simple
But it really is an art
They call our studio the hospital
Making money from the sick
We let people be themselves
There is no other trick
my lover stole my girlfriend
i keep beating up my ex
i want to kill my neighbour
my daughters selling sex
my s/m lover hurt me
my girl became a man
i love my daughters rapist
my lifes gone down the pan
What a show, the barry williams show
The barry williams show
Dysfunctional excess
Is all it took for my success
And when the punches start to fly
The ratings always read so high
Its showtime
that girl has got no scruples
Not a wrinkle on her face
You would not believe the plot she conceived
So theyd let her take my place
Well, no man is an island
No man is a sea
But this display of emotion
Is all but drowning me
What a show, oh what a show
On my show, the barry williams show
Its my show
What a show
Dysfunctional excess
Is all it took for my success
The best tv youve ever seen
Where people say the things that they really mean
I hear my name, I hear them roar
For the one more time I take the floor
Just one more barry williams show
Were gonna take you where you want to go
Its showtime
Come on down
Come on down

The Am I Nuts Test

Before taking The Am I Nuts Test,
Do your best to be objective and prepared...
To declare 'yourself',
As crazy as a bed bug!

Why declare this?
It will be easier to take the test,
With the acknowledgement...
There had been someone who picked on a bed bug,
To proclaim and announce it crazy.

Okay?
Now you should feel open to accept,
All possibilities.

First...
Have you ever discovered yourself quick to deny,
Anything?
Think about this and be honest.

Second...
Are you afraid to be critiqued?
For any physical flaws and blemishes you keep?

Third...
Do you seek to mask your insecurities?
With a pointing out those of others...
As you desperately try to secretly hide,
Those of your own that are hidden deep?

Fourth...
Do you get up each morning,
With wishes to find someone to impress.
Without first expressing a thankfulness for your blessings?
Do you find a need to rehearse this first?

Fifth...
Are you envious and jealous,
Of those addressing with confidence their identities?
Does this irritate you to no end?
And you are convinced,
They actually are trying to run away...
From their strange and differentness.
Do you feel people like this pretend?

And you remain one of the few...
Who advocate a 'normalcy' wishing others to approve?

Well...
You 'are' nuts!
And there is no need to have the results discussed.
If you believe others are out of their minds,
With a few like you being 'normal'.
And no evidence around you to validate and find.
You 'are' nuts and out of your mind.
No one today is normal.

'What makes you qualified to administer a test like this? '

Long ago I was confirmed as being dysfunctional.
And I resisted this refusing to admit it.
But today those dysfunctional,
Seem to be the ones left who have common sense.

'So...
You too are nuts? '

No.
My preference is to stay,
As dysfunctional for as long as I can.
I find to admit it makes me more marketable.
To discover someone is nuts,
Puts a limit to their opportunities.

And...
To debate with someone about the mentalities of bed bugs,
Is way out of my league.
I enjoy my life lived as simple as possible.

The Children Of Poor And Dysfunctional Parents

The children of poor and dysfunctional parents of any success in life stand little chance
The odds seem stacked against them by their birth circumstance
For them life is an uphill battle a struggle every day
The lady of luck and fortune does never smile their way
Though some wealthy parents can also be dysfunctional it does seem fair to say
That the child born to such parents at least financially will be okay
For those who say money speaks every language are saying what is true
People respect people with money though respect they may not be due,
Pity the poor children who become homeless at a young age and become institutionalized
For most of them their full potential is never realized
In a fair Human World this would never be
By circumstance of birth I feel that good luck was with me
There are millions of homeless children in the World of today
Due to their circumstance of birth in which they had no say.

Life is Lovely

I’m doing my best to realise your ideal – I mean
being true to being unhappy, but I am surrounded
by dysfunctional people - who enjoy being happy
Rima is laughter personified, Christine thinks life
is lovely, just for her to be amused and surprised

Hanlie insists on making the world beautiful with her
wonderful being, June is delighted with her house in
Gordon’s Bay, Martin is satisfied with the ideals he
sees being realised by two amazing kids following
his advice, my daughter shines in movie treats

My son dreaming big; at the office everyone breaks
out in smiles, I am really trying to get in touch with
my inner pain but it eludes me at present, though
I shall not give up in trying to reach the depths
of despair you prescribe, in deference to your

Amazing ability to find unhappiness behind every
happy façade, I am so glad you kindly informed
me how unhappy everyone has been and how
deeply mortified everyone should be once they
realize the pain in their hearts – yet right now

I am going with the flow of dysfunctional people
all being so happy they don’t even know how
terribly unhappy YOU know them to be, just
know I am working on it…

Outdated And Sidetracked

Why is it,
That those who have chosen to avoid other people...
Are now for some reason,
Believing those very same people 'they' avoided,
Have now chosen to play hide and seek with them?

This is the madness that traps,
Those with minds dysfunctional.
And unable to face the facts...'that',
Have left them outdated and sidetracked...
To live with the playing of childish games.

Dumbed Down, Profoundly Ignorant and Entertained

Without a knowledge of what is going on around them...
It is best that they remain,
Dumb down, profoundly ignorant and entertained.
Symbolized into a dysfunctional bliss.
And controlled by myths...
That have nothing to do with their existence!
But an awakening comes to stun everyone.
