The Griefs of Ancient Gosh
I happened in Gosh on an ancient day,
In the land of Glugs far, far away
Where the skies are green and the grass is pink
And the citizens rarely troubl'd to think.
Each had a vote; they were proud of that;
But they left all else to the Bureaucrat.
Still, of course, such folly never could be
In a civilised land this year A.D.
A junior clerk in Department A
Sent a requisition in one day
For a mousetrap to Department B.
This came to the ears of Department C,
Whose head said, 'Just a moment please.
You control the traps, but we the cheese.'
Then Department D chipped in in a trice
And cried, 'Checkmate! We control the mice.'
Then Departments E, F, G, H, I
Became involved, and the talk ran high,
Till the Livestock Branch got dragged in, too,
And the Vermin Board, and I don't know who
Besides, till the mousetrap matter grew
From a mild dispute 'mid a trifling few
To a Public Question so immense
That a tax was levied to meet expense.
Well, time rolled on, as it ever has rolled
And the junior clerk, now bald and old,
Received a pink form one fine day
Which said, 'One trap, mouse. Passed O.K.'
But he answered, this impatient chap,
Grown peevish, too, 'Keep your blinkin' trap!
For a trap I made from an old jam tin
Long since; and I caught my mouse therein.'
So an issue rose of a different sort,
And they sued the clerk in the State High Court
Which sat so long and talked such bosh
That a fierce Dictator loomed in Gosh;
And he took one long, deep, shuddering breath
And condemned that junior clerk to death
And then, when they sought the man, they found
He had been some twelve years underground.
Such is the tale. But, understand
It happened in Gosh - a backward land
Inhabited then by a race called Glugs,
Free-born, with a vote, but mostly mugs
For, of course, such nonsense never could be
In a modern, model Democracy
Like ours. Things never could happen so.
Absurd!... Or could they? ...Oh, I don't know.

I Switched You
I was alone in my big bed those lonely nights I tried to reach you
Your putting me on
Messed with my head but have you heard Im going to teach you
You will find out that you miss my lovin ways
But dont you know I switched you-switched you
I switched you
I switched you
I switched you
I hear that sound
That clickety-clack
That train returning who bewtiched me
Now youre around you want to come right back
Forget about the way you ditched me
Now you found out that you miss my lovin ways
But dont you know I switched you-switched you
Now you found out that you miss my lovin ways
But dont you know I switched you-switched you
Messed my head messed my head
Why you going putting me why you going putting me why you going putting me on?
T-t-t-tell me why

American Without Tears #2
December 1965 in caracas
When arnie laflem took a piece of the pie
When he packed up the casino chips, the iou and the abacus
And switched off the jukebox in a a fool such as i
He was a leg man who was open to offers
But he couldnt get her off his mind as he passed the tourist office
And as he entertained himself singing just like sammy davis junior
He toyed with her trip to miami
For money like that
He could have sweet talk in her ear
Now they dont speak any english
Just american without tears
It was an idea that he dangled on his knee
And nursed it like his coffee cup
When he couldnt find any other way
It always seemed to come to him
While the day was dipping down
And sun was like a lightbulb
Being swallowed by a clown
He took her for everything
He took her for his only one
He took her out of coventry and over to idaho
But the war wound that he carried home
Wasnt really visable
When bullets were forgotton
She lived dowdry, down, and miserable
And she seemed to be crying for year after year
And says, you dont speak any english
Just american between tears.
Honey she said to me will you turn down the radio.
You havent slept a wink since we came to havana
When youre gonna get the strength to go over to florida
All you ever listen to is the voice of america.
It was the story of a young english puppet
Who took up with a soldier boy
And thought she would profit.
Just like me she found out what true love is about
Anyway shes in new orleans it would never work out
Oh she seemed to be crying for year after year
Now you dont speak any english
Just american between tears.
Just american without tears.
For you seem to be crying year after year
Now you dont speak any english
Just american without tears.
Just american without tears.

Last Year
I may be in my Junior year.
But next year is my last year.
As I look back on the time I’ve been here,
And it feels like my first day as a freshman.
No matter what year I’m in school, I will always be meeting new people.
Most of the people I meet is the people who had moved away,
Now coming back.
Half the friends you come in with,
Will end up being half the friends you won’t be friends with.
So far what I am trying to say is that you need cherish the moments you have.
In a blink of an eye it will all be over.
You say your years won’t be like that
And when you graduate you say where does it go.
My Last Year’s about to begin! !

A corporation is organized as a system - it has this department, that department, that department... they don't have any meaning separately; they only can function together. And also the body is a system. Society is a system in some sense. And so on.

Album
Organizing
My summer job
my graduation
prom
I'm not nearly as stressed as last year
but i'm not as happy, either
because last year there was drama.
this year, I'm just sad.
It's all coming to an end so fast.
I thought that all these friendships would forever last.
People always say it, but now I understand
the only thing that will stay
is an album

C'mon Baby Light My Fire
Jeffrey Boyle was a real fireman.
I wish to it clear to you that you would understand;
Jeffrey was a fireman when he off duty being a fireman.
Jeffery, a 25 year-old veteran of Chicago's Fire Department, was an arsonist.
A fireman who starts fires, now that's twist.
Jeffrey was sentenced to six years in prison for starting eight fires.
His pension from the Fire Department had been revoked,
His retirement he planned was not acquired.
Boyle argued that because he set the fires while he was off duty from his job as a firefighter,
-and he did not use department equipment to set them,
-he was legally entitled to receive his $50,000-a-year pension.
But there was more tension,
A judge ruled in his favor.
Judge Leroy Martin said in his ruling,
'There must be a clear and specific connection between the felony committed and the participant's employment. It's unsettling, nay, repugnant that Mr. Boyle should stand poised to collect a pension, but the court is duty bound to apply the law.'
And that was that, that was all.
Am I slow or stupid or what?
I just don't get it.

So I'm going to tell you, it's going to be a good year. There are good players all over this country, and it is our job as a scouting department to find them, draft them, sign them, develop them, and help us to continue to win championships. So it's going to be a good year.
