Well, it was kind of accidental that Jim started playing with us, although it wasn't sudden... we hadn't really looked around to think who could be a fifth member.

Our managers hadn't had that kind of success - the record company hadn't, we hadn't - and the feeling was that the next record had to be even bigger, and if it wasn't it would be some kind of failure.

His Majesty Accident
Accidental meetings,
accidental greetings,
accidental walks,
accidental talks,
accidental questions,
accidental answers..
But…suddenly…
What has happened?
Meetings, greetings,
walks and talks,
questions and answers
stopped being accidental.
Life has become sentimental.
Love has rushed into the circle
and quickly closed it.
Sleepless nights appeared,
calmness disappeared.
“I love you” instead of “hi”,
a wish to inspire,
a stream of desire,
a heart is on fire,
a wish to fly.
His Majesty Accident governs the Land,
playing games that were not planned.
It sometimes gives us another chance:
to live, to love, to be happy and dance.
It sometimes goes up, sometimes down,
it sometimes gives us a crown.
Everyone waits for an accident,
everyone wishes the happy end.

Why Did You?
Why did you make me do it?
You know you led me on.
If you hadn’t started the way you did
I wouldn’t have that far gone.
Why did you insist?
You know my resistance is low.
If you hadn’t looked at me the way you did
it would’ve been easier to say no.
Why did you take advantage of me?
You knew that I’d give in.
If I hadn’t lost my voice just then
you would’ve heard my shouting.
Do you now regret for leading me on
and doing what we shouldn’t do?
Oh dear, you are giving me that look again,
and my voice is going too.
Are you thinking what I think you’re thinking?
Oh dear, I’ve got to go in a minute or two.
Well, if you insist in doing it again
I’ll try my best to resist you.
There you go you’ve done it again,
and I’m going to be late for my tea.
Tell me am I safe to put the kettle on,
or should I wait and see?

Not On My Priority List
It was suppose to be understood...
My feeling of being suffocated,
Had been part of an initiation!
And if I felt any discomfort,
From the smothering...
I would not be true to my roots.
Since I would not concede,
To be among those of defeated beatings!
And as I looked around,
To discover those who found...
This as an acceptance.
To shuffle and jive their way through life!
I thought it would be best,
For my own interests.
To become selected as the one...
They would ostracize!
Not thinking that this request...
Anyone would object.
Of course this had never happened before!
No one had ever requested,
To be rejected 'and' ignored?
I explained to them I had other quests.
And being suppressed by my own kind...
Was not on my priority list!
I recommended they select...
Another candidate.
One who would jump with excitement.
Without the slightest hint of protest.
In fact,
I suggested they were wasting their time.
Since their wishes to fulfill such foolishness...
Had been the furthest thing I had on my mind!
And I could not believe,
The looks I received of shock!
I guess the gossip hadn't spread...
That I had already been around quite a few blocks!
And I wasn't about...
Becoming a member of their shuffling crop!

I did, like, a couple of sexier videos, because all of a sudden I went, 'Wow, I have a body. I have this side of me that I haven't shown yet.' And I started kind of playing around with that side of things.

Oddly, when I started to make the record, I wasn't aware I was making a record. I just was sort of disgusted with the whole thing and sequestered myself in the basement and started playing the piano just for something to do.

I hadn't even watched '24' before, and the audition was kind of far away. When I got the material, there wasn't a character yet, so it almost seemed like an assistant to Jack Bauer saying, 'Yes, sir. No, sir.'

Many What If’s And More
What if Cinderella wasn’t a princess
But the advertiser of a new flavored jellybean
What if Snow White wasn’t pretty
But the ugliest hag ever seen
What if soccer wasn’t a game
But a new kind of disease
What if an oven isn’t used for warming food
But to make them freeze
What if tom wasn’t a cartoon
But a new mechanical device
That help cats in catching mice
Get very quick and wise
What if Jerry wasn’t a mouse
But another name for cherry
What if a mountain wasn’t mountain
But a new kind of berry
What if shoes weren’t used on feet
But to help us see
What if I wasn’t myself
I wonder who’d write this instead of me!

Everything is accidental
Ask. If you are given, it is accidental.
Search. If you have found, it is accidental.
Knock. If it is open, it is the accidental.
Without any prayer too, you might get
With prayer too, you might miss.

If Hadn't Got You
If I hadn't got you
If I hadn't got you
Whose friend would I be
If I lied all the time
If you never trusted my word
The love that we make
when feelings run high
Is all that makes sense in the world
And I can never go back, oh no
For a moment of sweet solitude
If I ever go back
I'd be looking for you
If I hadn't got you
Whose friend wouId I be
If I hadn't got you
I would die in solitary
If I hadn't got you
God only knows what I'd do
God only knows
Who's friend would I be if
I can't take a joke
If I can't pull a smile from a tear
The love that I feel
whenever you're close
Makes yesterday's hurt disappear
And I can never go back, oh no
For a moment of sweet solitude
With my head in my hands
I've been waiting for you
If I hadn't got you
Whose friend would I be
If I hadn't got you
I would die in solitary
If I hadn't got you
Whose air would I breathe
If I hadn't got you
God only knows what I'd do
God only knows
So don't turn away
Never go back
Hold onto love
Cos love is all we have
Maybe you'll be lost in this world
Without me
If I hadn't got you
Whose friend would I be
If I hadn't got you
I would die in misery
If I hadn't got you
Whose air would I breathe
If I hadn't got you, yeah
If I hadn't got you
God only knows what I'd do
God only knows

You Bet It (Fun Poem 55)
For JoAnn who knows what I mean.
When you talk on messenger
you type so very fast
to keep the conversation flowing,
but there are occasions
when your typing falls short
of what it should be
and you end up with
a funny kind of message.
I was talking to a friend
and to answer a question I purposed
she wrote or was suppose
to write you bet it.
However, what was typed
wasn’t you bet it at all.
Instead it read you be tit.
We both looked at it
and started to laugh.
Another blooper
for the jam pot that night.

Togetherness was the goal
One day in the morning
It was cold and I was shivering
Enjoying the beauty
Of the snowy Mountain
Sun started rising
Bringing heat and light beaming
Snow started melting
Water started trickling
Down to the River
Flowing in the Plains
Slowly it mingled
With the water in the River
The water looked one
It wasn’t possible to Separate
Water from the Snow
And
Water from the River
Like lovers with two hearts,
One Soul
Togetherness was the Goal

We started playing music from an early age and so we wasn't really aware of that side of it, the weird thing is the more successful you get the more free booze and drugs you get, they should be given to the bands who don't have the money.
