People Like You Just Don't Get It
People like you,
Just don't get it.
'Get what? '
Don't worry about it
If you had it you would know.
And...
Maybe you are right.
You once said,
The homeless and hungry...
Was a situation for those,
Who chose to be so.
You once said,
'There are jobs out there.
Those folks just don't want to work.
When 'I' was in that situation...
I walked down the road,
To ask my neighbor if I could pitch some hay...
To buy groceries and pay my 'mortgage'.
And my father and his father did the same thing.
Today...
People think they deserve more than that.'
People like you,
Just don't get it.
'Get what? '
Don't worry about it.
If you had it you would know.
And...
Maybe you are right.
Some people just bit off more than they could chew.
And if they had good credit like you...
None of them would be in the same predicament.
People like you,
Just don't get it.
'Get what? '
Don't worry about it.
What you don't know is intended.

Id Rather Be Strong
(myles goodwyn)
Published by slalom publishing co. - bmi
Its a sad situation
Alot of hopeless information
On the news
Nothins gonna please you
And nothins gonna change
Well thats your view
So many hungry people
Its a shame and is it legal?
Well its a sight
Theres something goin on
Somethin we can change
And its our right
So Id rather be strong
In a hopeless situation, yes
I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation, yes
I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation
Yes I would, yes I would
Well you can say its a shame
And things remain the same
And so it goes
But no ones gonna hear you
And no ones gonna see
What doesnt show
Itd be cause for celebration
If only every nation understood
And helping one another
And doing for the other, what they could
And Id rather be strong
In a hopeless situation, yes
I would rather be strong
And to show determination, yes
I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation
Yes I would, yes I would
Id be a lot better off if I could
Be part of the love
Thats seemingly lost from above
A delicate situation (situation)
Requires contemplation, everyone (everyone)
And someone has to care (someone to care)
When people live in fear of each mans son (each mans son)
So Id rather be strong
In a hopeless situation
Yes, I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation
Yes, I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation
Yes, I would, yes, I would
Id be a lot better off if I could
Be part of the love
Thats seemingly lost from above
Id rather be strong, ooh yes, I would
Well, Id rather be strong, yes I would, yes I would, yes I would
Well, Id rather be strong, ooh yes I would
Well, Id rather be strong, be strong, yes I would, yes I would
Well, Id rather be strong, yes I would
Well Id rather be strong, be strong, yes I would
In a hopeless situation
Yes, I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation, yes
I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation
Yes, I would rather be strong
In a hopeless situation, yes
I would rather be strong

Worries
Everyday we worry
whenever something goes wrong.
Some worry more than others
and their problems seem to grow.
We worry about our kids,
what troubles they get into.
We worry about money,
and how we will pay the bills.
We worry about food
will we have enough
to keep our bellies fed
and give us our daily bread.
We worry about everything
that goes on around us,
our family, our friends, our neighbours
and even strangers
whose lives we do not know.
Sometimes our worries
can even make us ill.
We can never stop worrying.
It is just part of our frame of mind.
However, we should stop worrying
about what is going to happen,
as we cannot change it
or alter its course.

Acceptance is not a state of passivity or inaction. I am not saying you can't change the world, right wrongs, or replace evil with good. Acceptance is, in fact, the first step to successful action. If you don't fully accept a situation precisely the way it is, you will have difficulty changing it. Moreover, if you don't fully accept the situation, you will never really know if the situation should be changed.

Dont You Worry bout A Thing
(s. wonder)
Everybodys got a thing
But some dont know how to handle it
Always reachin out in vain
Just taking the things not worth havin
Chorus:
But dont you worry bout a thing
Dont you worry bout a thing (dont you worry, baby)
cause Ill be standing on the side when you check it out
They say your style of lifes a drag
And that you must go other places
Just dont you feel too bad
When you get fooled by smiling faces
Chorus
When you get off your trip
Dont you worry bout a thing
Dont you worry bout a thing
Chorus
Everybody needs a change
A chance to check out the new
Youre the only one who see
The changes you take yourself through
Dont you worry bout a thing
Dont you worry bout a thing (sweet baby)
cause Ill be standin in the wings when you check it out
Dont you worry bout a thing
Dont you worry bout a thing
Dont worry, dont worry, dont worry cause Ill be right here waitin for you baby
Repeat (fade)

Fast Cars
My cell is ringing
No ID
I need to know who's calling
My gardens overgrown
I go out on my belly crawling
I got CCTV pornography CNBC
I got the nightly news
To get to know the enemy
All I want is a picture of you
All I want is to get right next to you
All I want is your face in a locket
Picture in my pocket
I take a pill to stop it
I know these fast cars
Won't do me no good
I'm going nowhere where I am it is a lot of fun
They're in the dessert to dismantle an atomic bomb
I want you shadow box
Check the stocks
I'm in detox
Want the lot of what you got
What you got can make this stop
All I want is a picture of you
All I want is to get right next to you
All I want is your face in a locket
Picture in my pocket
I take a pill to stop it
I know these fast cars
Won't do me no good
Don't you worry about your mind
Don't you worry about your mind
Don't you worry about your mind
Don't you worry about your mind
You should worry about the day
That the pain it goes away
You know i miss mine sometimes
There is no fiction that will truely fit the situation
I'm documenting every detail every conversation
Not used 2 talkin 2 somebody in a body
Somebody in a body
Somebody in a body

Tender Situation
[studio version appears on "pure guava"]
Wrote this song called "tender situation",
And it somehow just put everything back together
State this ache as the final break
Tender situation - create a good illusion
Feel the grip of your salvation
This is indeed a tender situation
Make a move man, state your case
Taste the waste man, taste the waste
What is your place in my glorification
This is indeed a tender situation
Get off the pot man, shake and bake
Taste the waste boy, taste the waste
Pump it up or stray from that old station
This is indeed a tender situation
Tender situation, tender situation, tender situation
[repeat all]

The More I Worry About Money
THE MORE I WORRY ABOUT MONEY
The more I worry about money
The more I worry about money-
Life has to change
I have to do something to earn some money
I am already too old for most things
I perhaps can be a caregiver again
A minimum salary for too much time lost-
The more I worry about money
The more I know I must do something
What will I do?
I will write a poem about worrying about money
And maybe perhaps after I have delayed it as long as possible
Go again to work long hours for a minimal sum

You Can Count On Me
Let's talk it over, let's get get it straight
Don't let th' situation escalate
You know there's always problems when a man is wrapped up in his art
But don't you worry baby you can count on me to do my part
You keep on working, i'm looking round
Don't let your girlfriend put me down
You know it's tough these days for a proud man to make a start
But don't you worry baby you can count on me to do my part
You wash the dishes, i've gotta run
You know that night life ain't such fun
Now don't wait up for me 'cause i know you need your rest, sweetheart
But don't you worry baby you can count on me to do my part

Things Are About to Change
It feels so strange to know for sure I have power,
Power to change my situation,
Give me a year and you won't recognize me,
I'll be so blessed,
God has always told me I would be successful,
but I did not believe,
I want and do believe now,
Better job this year,
Better money,
Less stress,
Less pain,
Less worry,
Because I just call on Jesus name,
I'm going to let him run the show,
Because I honestly don't know what to do,
All I can do is seek him and work very hard.
If I do my best God will take care of the rest,
Before I was not trying at all so God let me go my on
foolish ways,
Those days were horrible,
I'm glad there over,
No matter how ruff it gets or how bad,
I want to give up,
this time Jesus I just can't,
I have to know once and for all your power
and the power you have instilled in me,
So Lord please guide me and I'll try my best to fellow,
because Lord Jesus I know things are about to change.

A Little Fun Keeps You Young
A Little Fun Keeps You Young
A little fun keeps you young;
A little laughter keeps you bright.
When you get to that age
When a mid life crisis looms
Go out and act like a kid again.
Don’t worry what the neighbors might say
They are probably crazy anyway.
Change your hair color grow it long
Change your style and wear a thong
That will put some spring in your step
Or goose yourself to give you some pep
Don't worry what the neighbors might say
They are probably crazy anyway
Dance till the wee hours in the morning
Let loose, but don’t get lost in the spring
Smile, even if there’s nobody around
Run, until you’re nowhere to be found
Don’t worry what the neighbors might say
You are more than crazy than they anyway..
Pssst..have fun reading this, please, lol.

Change! Change! Change!
change! change! change!
everybody talkin' about change.
change your look,
change your luck,
change your politics,
change your religion...
change the country,
change the world....
change the day!
change your underwear!
loose change, pocket change,
winds of change, march for change....
but all real change begins within...
let's work on that,
and then everything else
will change in turn!

Sad Situation
When you wake, Ill be gone
Just a space, an empty chair
And I know, I was wrong
Just one more time, then Ill be gone
Who stopped the sky from falling?
Who held you back from harm?
Who stood as walls were falling?
A call still guides us on
Chorus:
Its a sad situation
And no ones to blame
Its a sad situation
Now youre gone
Its a sad situation
Which someday may change
Its a sad situation
Now youre gone
In the dawn, turn the page
We stand alone, as the lions rage
I suppose well move on
A fight of minds, that still breathe strong
Who stopped the sky from falling?
Who held you back from harm?
Who held you close when hurting?
Who keeps the doves of hope?
Chorus

Dont Worry Baby
Well its been building up inside of me
For oh I dont know how long
I dont know why
But I keep thinking
Somethings bound to go wrong
But she looks in my eyes
And makes me realize
And she says dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Everything will turn out alright
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
I guess I shouldve kept my mouth shut
When I started to brag about my car
But I cant back down now
I pushed the other guys too far
She makes me come alive
And makes me wanna drive
When she says dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Everything will turn out alright
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
She told me baby, when you race today
Just take along my love with you
And if you know how much I loved you
Baby nothing could go wrong with you
Oh what she does to me
When she makes love to me
And she says dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Everything will turn out alright
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby
Dont worry baby

Forgiveness Is Not the Key
I look down at the people, I worry about their woes
I worry about their joys, their friends, their foes
I worry about their lives and the way they live it
I worry about their dreams and wonder if they’ll heed it
I worry about the tears I see running down their face
I worry about their lies they tell in this time and place
I worry about their truths that always hurt more
I worry about what they will definitely have in store
I look down at the people who never showed compassion
Who hate each other with the strongest passion
Who pushed me aside as though I were nothing
I wonder, do they care about anything?
I realise they treat each other as dirt
And they revel within all the hurt
Not one ever worried for me
I’m so glad that I can finally see
I refuse to worry or care about them and their petty ways
I will never again worry for their days
Because not one ever cared for me
Forgiveness is not the key
Not when I live life so lonely
I want to be loved only
For them I’ll never again feel woe
Because I’ll be nothing but their foe

Change Of Heart
Chris hayes / huey lewis
I know it happens almost every time
I also know that nothing last forever
So now you wanna go and change your mind
Forget about the time we spent together
Do you think that Ill shoot myself,
When you tell me that its over ?
You say you, had a change of heart
You better think it over, baby.
Cause if you ever change your mind
I could have a change of heart the next time.
You really know just how to put me off
You say one thing and then you do another.
Now it takes more than that to get me off
You must think that youre a perfect lover.
Do you think that Ill fall apart,
When you tell me that you leavin ?
You say you, had a change of heart
You better think it over, baby.
Cause if you ever change your mind
I could have a change of heart the next time.
Wonder what Ill do with all the time
When Im not here, and Im not on the telephone.
No more worry bout if you do and ill
Cause it wont matter anymore if Im all alone.
Baby I got news for you
It isnt gonna kill me.
You say you, had a change of heart
You better think it over, baby.
Cause if you ever change your mind
I could have a change of heart the next time.
You say you, had a change of heart
You better think it over, baby.
Hey, (hey)
Better think it over
Think it over baby
