Right and wrong becomes more difficult for each of us as we grow older, because the older we get the more we know personally about our own human frailties.

Older They Grow But Not Up
Older they grow,
But not up!
Many never experience a maturity.
Raised on entertaining limited thoughts.
And few have abilities,
To comprehend little of what they read.
Or take the responsibility,
To hold themselves accountable...
For actions begun and those they leave.
Older they grow,
But not up!
And demands they make,
To satisfy their spoiled ways.
Since no one around them wants to hear them fuss.
Realizing not one of those fussers who also cuss,
Wants to take a position,
To make a decisive decision.
Since accusations are prioritized in their lives lived,
As a must.
And expectations are less for them.
For those exposed to them growing older...
Knowing these minds have no time left.
For them to show a growing up,
With a thoughtfulness.
Older they may grow...
But for them it sure is not up!

Getting Older
it's nine o'clock
i'm getting tired
i'm sick of all my records
and the clothes i bought today
am i cracking up
or just getting older?
staying in
i can't be bothered
making conversation
with the friends that i don't know
am i cracking up
or just getting older?
and i bet that this is how life
turns out when you're finally grown
and you know if this my life
sit around all day on my own
i'm halfway up to the bottom
of another bottle
of my next best favourite friend
am i cracking up
or just getting older?
you're not cracking up
you're just getting older
we're not cracking up
we're just getting older

Everyone Is Growing Older
Between warring Countries hostilities do not last
And 'tis true your friend of tomorrow may be your foe of the past
But life goes on as usual that's how it seems to be
And we make friends with the old foe to fight our new common enemy
And everyone grows older but few grow wise and gray
For we still glorify the folly of war in the World of today
And we find things in common when we have a common foe
But as we do grow older few of us do wiser grow,
We celebrate war heroes to die in war is not seen as a sin
And when one war it is over another war begin
To use the name of God in war seems hypocritical that would seem fair to say
And to Moses fifth commandment respect we never pay
Crimes of hate and xenophobia sad to say are on the rise
And everyone is growing older but so few are growing wise.

Selfish
When we are young,
we are selfish
and want all the fruit on the tree.
As we grow older
we respect everything that is there,
and only want a little
of what stands before us there.
We become unselfish
and the word is replaced with share.
As we grow, older
all we want to do is share.

I’m an Older Man Than You
WHEN you’ve managed with the tailor for a rig-out of a sort
And you find the coat or trousers are an inch or so too short,
Do not fret and swear and worry, make the tailor see you through—
I have been through many new suits, I’m an older man than you.
When your girl is interfering with your appetite and work,
With your sleep and time and reason till the jealous demons lurk;
When your girl is playing with you, leave her for a week or two:
If in vain, then quit for ever!—I’m an older man than you.
When your wife deceives or leaves you for a “blackguard”, “brute”, and “sot”,
And when not a soul believes you when you say that you were not;
Do not rave or brood and weaken, and the years will prove you true,
Let your own self be the beacon!—I’m an older man than you.
Do not take a silly mistress in your vanity accursed,
And a second wife (or husband) but reminds you of the first;
Banish mutual friends, and pity (kill or cure relations, too),
Shun false “reconciliation”—I’m an older man than you.
Be the cause however worthy, and your case however strong,
Be your wrong however cruel, drink will put you in the wrong.
Drink will neutralize and murder all the good that time can do
(Though our birthdays come together, I’m an older man than you).
But for ever and for ever, over seas and through the lands,
Go the hand laid on the shoulder and the silent grip of hands
With a world of human feeling—men who know and men who knew:
Clear your soul of pessimism—I’m an older man than you.

Older And Older Into More Darkness And Loneliness
OLDER AND OLDER INTO MORE DARKNESS AND LONELINESS
Older and older into more darkness and loneliness,
The friends are not here.
Life has so much grief and pain
Will we ever see them again?
Could we have been kinder?
Less without them, we long and go on.

OLDER WOMEN...by Talile Ali
NOW THAT IM OLDER
ALL I HAVE TO SAY
MY VIEW OF WOMEN'S MORPHED
IN SUCH BEAUTIFUL WAYS
OLDER CHICKS ARE LOOKING HOTTER
DOUBLE THE PLEASURE AT HALF THE SPEED
OH YES
OLDER WOMEN ARE BEST
OH YES
NORTH SOUTH EAST AND WEST
I AINT ASHAMED HERE
BABY, KNOW MY DESIGNS
I WANT ME AN OLDER WOMAN
EACH AND EVERY TIME
DOESN'T MATTER HOW OLD
SO LONG AS SHE'S FIT AND HOT
AND GOT A RACK THAT WON'T QUIT
AND BOUNCES A WHOLE LOT
MAYBE LAST BUT NOT LEAST
WHEN SHE DOES ME SHE'S A BEAST
OLDER WOMEN ARE FUN
WITH THEM YOU HAVE A FEAST
DEEP IN THEIR EYE'S
A UNIVERSE REALIZED
KNOWLEDGE BACKING THAT MUSCLE
BETWEEN THOSE INCREDIBLE THIGHS

As I Grow Older
As i grow older
I realize that changes arrive
As they please.
There are no summonses
For the senses.
When they come
They come in a caravan, in hordes and hordes and when
Something is wrong
They go wrong
All the way
Anyway in any way.
Oh, they come in bunches
Like friends.
Sometimes, i like to reason out
And convince myself that the best
Way to survive is to hide.
To bury my head.
Oh, it does not help any cause.
I welcome the changes.
I shake each hand that says my name.
I drink with them and dance with
Each of them.
We get drunk and we do not even
Remember the exact hour
When we have fallen asleep.
We have no fixed hour
For waking up.
Each is free to go.
Each is free to come back.
This is life. No one blames anybody
Why he is lonely. The doors are open.
The windows open by themselves
Like prostitutes, the beds.
When someone closes
Like fingers,
The frown shouts like a
Mad woman.
As I grow older
I let things be and I don't really
Mind if anyone disagrees.

When I was a kid, I was surrounded by girls: older sisters, older girl cousins just down the street... except for an older boy named Vito who threw rocks. Each year I would wish for a baby brother. It never happened.

Years We Wished Away
Sometimes we’d like to go back,
reclaim the years we wished away.
Reflecting on the fun,
we could have enjoyed
instead of trying to be
older than what we were.
Reclaim the years that were lost
to crazy wishes that we had,
thinking it was better to be
older than what we were.
Instead of enjoying our childhood
and the games, they play.
Now as we grow older
and our youth is what we grasp.
We wish that we were younger
in the cradle of our childhood
and all those precious times
in the years, we wished away.

I'd Like To Age Disgracefully
I'd like to age disgracefully
And do all the things i like
Like eating biscuits while in bed
And riding naked on my bike
I think as we grow older
Then some things are left behind
Some with regret i have to say
But i think there's greater peace of mind
There's a returning to the playful
And an opening of eyes
Even if your energies
Are sometimes compromised
So, lets all grow old disgracefully
And let the young ones say
The day that i am older
I want to be that way.

The Forgotten Soldier
The forgotten soldier. Hes getting older. Hes getting colder. Scarred for all eternity. Searching for divinity. Prayer yet to be answered. Smoking has just brought cancer. The forgotten soldier. Hes getting older. Hes getting colder. Looking for forgiveness in all the wrong places. So many name and so many faces. An anecdotal pun he has become. A history lesson has been undone. Wars never can be won. The forgotten soldier. Hes getting older. Hes getting colder. In his eyes lies the blood of many. Sleepless nights of sacrifice and murder. And in the end their is no one to comfort him. The forgotten soldier. Hes getting older. Hes getting colder. Times have changed. Now he can only wish he was flying a jet plane. Treated like dirt. Crippled and weak. And the man just turns the other cheek. The forgotten soldier. Hes getting older. Hes getting colder. Today is his birthday and he spends it in a nursing home all alone. To all he is forgotten dead and gone. But i remember, i remember all the forgotten soldiers.

O Child Of Mine Grow No-Older
Place your head upon my shoulder
O child of mine grow no-older.
Less life's platitudes make you stronger.
Stay with me a little longer!
Misfortune' rings her lowly bell
She's waiting there to here you, yell.
Solemnly she's genial but who should tell.
She'd wish all that's virtuous smote in hell!
O child of mine grow no-older.
Than the stone Jesus Christ moreover!
Newborn, bold-over...
