Winning isn't everything, but playing and competing and striving and going through things can be a lot of fun and really important. As long as you're doing it in a way that's healthy, sports can be an incredible opportunity.

But seriously, I think overall in the scheme of things winning an Emmy is not important. Let's get our priorities straight. I think we all know what's really important in life - winning an Oscar.

Up By Two Possessions
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
A winning told.
And keep...
That winning bold.
You can't let moss grow under your feet!
And keep...
A winning told.
You can't stay satisfied and sleep!
And keep...
That winning bold.
You must push alibis aside!
To keep...
A winning told.
And sacrifice with a drive inside!
To keep...
A winning told.
And keep...
That winning bold.
Up by two possessions,
In a heated competing session.
And the hope is to reach to the goal,
To keep...
A winning told.

Ladder Of Success
Now the race has begun
You are strong and you are young
Its your choice, its up to you
Be good to us and well be good to you
And you will be rewarded for conforming to our plan
The system will accept you because we understand
Youll be up there with us on the pinnacle of success
Winning, climbing on the ladder of success
Why take less, now youre on the ladder of success
Now weve reached the end of another school year
And those of you who are leaving us
We wish you well in your chosen careers
I see you got a job with a well established firm
Youll be earning a 3 pound 10 shillings a week
Plus luncheon vouchers
Well my boy it looks as though youre heading
Straight for the top
And your efforts will be noted
But you must always compete
Stick it out the skys the limit
And youll be part of the elite
Youll be up there with us
Competing with the best
Achieving, winning on the ladder of success
Make commitment, join our team
Now youre really in the thing
Part of the plan, dont make a fuss
Play the game and youll be one of us
And your efforts will be noted
Youll be part of the elite
Pay your money make your choice now
Your commitment is complete
Now youre up there with us
Competing with the best
Achieving, winning on the ladder of success
Stand in line, join the queue
Play the game with the right attitude
Now you played your reputation
Theres so much that you can lose
What a struggle to get up there
Youve really paid your dues
Now youre up there with us on the pinnacle of success
Still youre climbing on the ladder of success
Now youre up there with us
Competing with the best
Winning, climbing on the ladder of success
On the ladder of success
Achieving, winning on the ladder of success

In sports, you simply aren't considered a real champion until you have defended your title successfully. Winning it once can be a fluke; winning it twice proves you are the best.

Everyone Competes with Friends
Competing with friends
always seems like a good idea.
Games are fun, winning is fun,
so there is no problem.
Until you find out that your friends
value winning more than friendship,
or they think less of you
if you don't compete very well.
If you have an advantage in the game,
then you lose if you win,
and really lose if you lose.

What is the single most important quality in a tennis champion? I would have to say desire, staying in there and winning matches when you are not playing that well.

I enjoy sports. I get a real joy from playing sports but I don't look for those movies. Oliver Stone wanted to know if I would do Any Given Sunday and it just didn't appeal to me.

Duo
What a coincidence!
Today Dara Singh
Died and today
Was my children's
Sports Day!
Reminds me
Once again
That sports
Would go on
So would life
And these stalwarts
Who are well-renowned
Wrestlers can win every
Championship in life,
And remain defending
Champions for life...
But when it comes to
Grappling with death
They simply don't
Stand a chance...
Once again a
Stark reminder
That man has a
Long way to go
When it comes to
Wrestling with death
And winning the ultimate
Trophy in the final duel
With the unrelenting duo
- Senility and Mortality -

In Sports As In Life
The town decorated in the colours of the local football club for the weekend's big game
Suppose in sports as in life it is all about winning and fame
The local footballers are playing for renown
For the fans and love of self glory and love of the Hometown
And for love of the club colours they proudly do wear
The very thought of losing even seems hard to bear
To the uninterested 'tis just another game of football
But in sports as in life the winners seem to take all
Of the admiration and fame and of singing their praises their fans never tire
And even gallant losers so few seem to admire
To be graceful in defeat to little does amount
In sports as in life only winners seem to count
At the weekend they play for the trophy and their self glory and sporting renown
And for their sporting succes hungry fans and for love of their Hometown.

Arsenal have won that advantage, nobody gave it to them. By playing fantastic football and by winning matches and by winning trophies, they won that respect that the opponent has for them.

What isn't there
Here we sit rotating in our little gravity wells
Hoping, always hoping
Striving to escape and touch something real
That doesn't exist
We strain to hear the music that isn't playing
That beautiful orchestra
We realize that nothing abstract is true
Except love, sometimes
We reach, cry, and complain that it is too far
Without starting the journey
Happily we sit and stare at bundled seconds
So we don't need to try anymore.
Not everything is sad or happy or happy/sad
There are the few moments of brilliance
When we realize the important things have always been there
There is that moment of comprehension
Where everything makes sense again

As the proud father of two teens and past Chairman to the Presidents Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, I am committed to educating parents and especially young people on ways to live a long, healthy and active life.
Beneficial
The benefits accompany the man who wins,
Problems of sleep calculate me and his worries.
May I learn in ways too important, too wise,
That returns appear and exercise - too wise.
May winning benefit me rather than him,
Victory worked according to heaven.
Fleeing from the site is evil and winning,
But winning does not come or reappear.
Those men who win shall overpower the enemy
In the correct form, in the absolute manner.
This is to win, this is to prosper,
Another triumph brings joy and happiness.

Especially in the realm of bringing an opportunity to do something creative to people, as I said, who wouldn't ordinarily have that opportunity. I think that's very important.
