I start to think there really is no cure for depression, that happiness is an ongoing battle, and I wonder if it isn't one I'll have to fight for as long as I live. I wonder if it's worth it.

As Long As I Shall Live
As long as I shall live I shall live with other people
And god will be there for me
As long as I shall sleep in a warm bed during the winter
I shall have my dreams
As long as I live I shall have friends
As long as I live I will listen to music because music is healing
And sometimes I feel tha my sould and me can benefit withthe music
As long as I live I shall see some Clear blue sky
As long as I live I shall have friends
As long as I live I will try to end my depression
As long as I live I shall sing the blues
As long as I live I shall have no depression anymore because there will Be people to support me in my daily life
As long as I live I shall be hungry for God's word

There You were
There you were
You’re always laughing at me
Is that how life’s supposed to be?
Each night I cry
Don’t tell me you don’t know why
But I rose up to live once more
From the grave of my depression.
You were too blind to see my real worth
But I lived again
There you were abusing me
Torturing my life inside out
I still don’t know why
Is that how life’s supposed to be?
But I rose up to live once more
From the grave of my depression
You were too blind to see my real worth
But I lived again
A day won’t go by
When I think of you
How cruel you were to me
And how I became stronger
Day by day
From the thoughts of you
Giving and not taking
From me, for me
And I rose up to live once more
From the grave of my depression
You were too blind to see my real worth
And I lived again
Now you are helping me
That’s how life’s supposed to be
There you are being a friend
But is it true until the end?
And you raised me up to live once more
From the grave of my depression
You re-gained your sight and saw my worth
And you lived again
There you were

Depression Can Hurt Bad
Depression can hurt badly
Depression can even kill you
They say it hurts everyone and kills inside
but they don't know how bad and miserable it feels like to be depressed 24/7
If they did understand then they wouldnt try to make us sound like its our fault like we are crazy and need help or try to guilt us into getting better because there is no cure for depression
There's no way out unless you truly wanted and needed it
Depression can kill
Depression can hurt
BUT depression could do so much more to you!

Dealing With Depression
Depression is being lonely in a room full of people
Depression is being constantly tired but never able to sleep
Depression is longing to be with others yet not being able to cope with company
Depression makes you lose your appetite and eat yourself fat
Depression is smiling to hide the pain inside
Depression is when the soul dies but the body keeps on living
Depression is forgetting who you used to be
Depression is not knowing if you could survive without it
Depression is being sad when nothing is wrong
Depression is not caring whether you live or die
Depression is having no interest in the things you used to love
Depression is lying awake for hours in bed at night contemplating the best way to kill yourself only to realise that you can’t be bothered.

The Melancholy Blues
Depression controls every single one of us
For some people, depression barely exists
But for the rest of us, we are doomed to live depressed
Depression makes you unhappy
Makes you think trying suicide
Makes you think about the wonders about death
Depression causes us to hurt the ones we love day by day
We want to get help but never seem to be able to
A shred of hope left in us in those we love
Hoping they will save us from this black-hole
That we keep falling into
Depression controls us, our feelings and our mind…
And we battle it every day with tiredness.

Underlying Depression
Underlying depression, have to crawl into my room
Underlying depression dont want to know about the moon in june
Outside theres a cavalcade of clowns but they're bringing me down
With underlying depression
Underlying depression and its starting in my backyard
Underlying depression, and these times aint even so hard
Lord I was born with the blues and my blue suede shoes
And underlying depression
Underlying depresslon and theres ust nowhere to turn
Underlying depression and things just seem to turn in on one
Sometimes Im stuck in the corner just like little jack horner
With underlying depression
Underlying depression and I just cant get it right
Underlying depression Ive got to fight it with all of my might
Right now I dont want to be alone
Get my baby on the telephone
Underlying depression
Have to make some concessions when everything is working right
Have to count my blessings, helps me make it through the night
Ive got love in my life as well as trouble and strife
And underlying depression
Underlying depression, underlying depression, underlying depression
Aint nothing but the blues
Underlying depression aint nothing but the blues
Underlying depression, aint nothing but the blues
Underlying depression

Fighting a losing battle
I'm fighting a losing battle
Of one Im not to win.
Deprresion depression#
And other lifes troubles.
This battle one day soon
I shall lose
I shall give up the fight
The battle I am losing
I may as well give in
And accept my fate
Now suicide shall take me
Take me out of this world

Depression is...
Depression is when you hate everyone around
Depression is when you don't want to make a sound
Depression is when all you want to do is cry
Depression is when you feel like you’re dying inside
Depression is when your thoughts wonder all the time
Depression is when you can't sleep even though you’re tired
Depression is when you don't want to go on
Depression is when you can't stop shaking outside
Depression is when you hide who you are
Depression is when you put on a mask to hide what you feel
Depression is when you feel weak all the time
Depression is when you give in to everything around
Depression is when you don't care what happens anymore
Depression is just another day in my life

Make Me Sad
Fallen into depression
has me left
from the words of naysayers
I have no home
to rest my head
and it makes no sense
for me to even be alive
What have I done
to be marked with a target on my back
as each day becomes
a battle for me to fight
All I can do now is continue
to start counting
and just maybe I
shall be erased from
this cruel world....

A Poet Full Of Courage
There will come a day that I will be free of the drepression
And the depression won't make me his prisoner anymore because I will get the 2x4 and I will fight it hard to gain control over my depression
Depression changes who I am completely from mild, relaxed, to anxiou, and manic
The depression is not going to control me because I won't let it control me
I will fight to the end as long as I can to put an end to my depression
Depression is not a beutiful thing that I canbe proud of it
I am not at all
But I feel that I can make a change ny making it better by writing poetry and listening to music becasuse it is music that helps me to get rid of my depresion
And with music I get the courage to move on
Because music improves my well being and I feel that it is what makes me stronger and with religion does the same thing to me
But the two combime it is even better than medicime
I must say that there are no better medicine in this world than music, Poetry, and God because they all fall in the same category
I believe that one day I will be healed and I will tell it to the doctor and He will fall flat in his face

Depression.....
Depression is the looks that lie
Depression is the tears I cry..
Depression is the mistakes
that one person makes..
Depression is the sad song
where no one sings along
Depression is where I have no friends
Depression is the cut that mends..
Depression…
Just a feeling that gets everyone sad
And maybe to the point where you go mad
But depression is sad but true..
Because it is my life without you…

Living For Love
I’ve lost the will to fight
On this ever faithful night
Where oh so finally
Begins my time of misery
I’ve been sad a lot you say?
That was just sadness of the day
But now depression starts to sit
A blanket of woe begins to knit
As I start to die lonely in this world
Then I think of how my life unfurled
It was a great life of of joy so great
I had no emotion I knew I was gonna break
I should have seen it coming
I really should have known
The voice inside me humming
My very mind was thrown
I was fine I was great
Then 9nth grade started a debate
Inside me whether I should free
My emotion from the chains that I held inside me
I had chained my emotions so I would not get hurt
But I was convinced to let them go and they busted right out of my shirt
I let them be as they were fine for a while
For once in my life I had but a true smile
For I had let them go and I was still happy
My happiness was oh so sappy (^_^)
Then I developed something I never felt before
And with it desire came with a great roar
I felt love and still feel it its strong inside me
I decided to let love join the others and be free
So I let it out nervous as hell
Then I saw it start to dwell
It went after one of my friends and stayed there attached
It started to grow and I knew I was outmatched
I gave in to the love without a strong fight
For I knew love was of the strongest mite
So I listened to love and was happy as ever
Then...bam! Like someone pulled a lever
I was crushed I was destroyed and broken
And because of a few words spoken
I had let myself open knowing thate I’de be hurt
Just like that I was thrown into the dirt
Cast into a new feeling I never have had
Depression..i met you...and i’m not very glad
You are my life now Love and you
And...theres only one thing I can do
To rid myself of this burning feeling
I feel as bad....when I was stealing...
No worse worse than ever before
Depression like love lets out a great roar
Its consumed my mind happiness I know not
For right now, Happiness and joy have already begun to rot
By now they’re gone I know nothing of them anymore
Everyday I wake up and think...my mind is really sore
From all these thoughts swimming around
But every time I look I have only found
The burning love that is still inside me
I cannot rid myself of it you see
It is far to great stronger than my depression
In this poem I write out my confession
I have a feeling that depression is nearly gone
To me this love is like a giant saw
It’s cutting the depression making it weak
So that my love grows until it piques
If my love ever piques then I shall know
That my mind is not aging slow
It’s already growing, every day
Depression used to be a darkened shade of gray
But with every day my love as red
Turned my blackened heart alive from dead
I feel better after writing this poem
For it speaks the truth that I have always known
I live naught for my family or even my friends...
I live for love so it may grow to no end
Love is my life I can see that now...
Here’s to hoping I keep my mouth shut to I don’t get hurt *takes a bow*
