With time, many of the facts I learned were forgotten but I never lost the excitement of discovery.

Facts I've Learned To Face
Those expectations I have for myself,
Has yet to require
A solicitation of assistance.
Although I do feel I owe you the respect,
Of perceiving my abilities
In need of direction.
Trust me
I am not seeking that kind of guidance.
Perhaps one day I will more receptive.
It is enough for me,
Just to complete what it is that I do.
And the discovery of that,
Has kept my focus on track.
I had been one distracted,
By too many delusions carried on my back.
But not today.
Not with the facts I've learned to face.
And the facing of those facts
Has kept me on track.

The quarrel of the sociologists with the historians is that the latter have learned so much about how to do it that they have forgotten what to do. They have become so skilled in finding facts that they have no use for the truths that would make the facts worth finding.

Lessons Learned Too Late
All his life he studied his books
and learned all kinds of facts.
He buried his nose and rubbed his eyes
never noticing the way the world acts.
He graduated at the top of his class
and the world was his to own.
He landed a job in which you use your brain.
'A Genius' was how he was known.
Along came destiny and took him by surprise.
His head started pounding
and he lost the sight in both eyes.
His memory was failing
and the facts he once knew
all became distant.
They were all through.
All his life his eyes had been weary
and they never took time to see
that life is more than learning facts.
It's about learning how to be
a complete human being.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter LXXXV: Replacement
Sometimes I lost something
Sometimes I get something
When I lost something
I always search something else
To remove the pain I feel
When I get something
I always think it is something
To fill the thing that lost
But it is useless
Because then I realize
I only try to lie to myself
That a thing can be replaced easily by a thing
And it will be unfair to both of them
Because there’s nothing alike in this world
The memory of loss will teach us how to respect
And the happiness of gifted will teach us how to be grateful
It is something that should always be learned from time to time
And never be forgotten

The Sound Of Wings.....
from the bars of the cell,
i learned freedom from the body.
from the underside of the bridge,
i learned home has not a house.
from forty years of working,
i learned the bitterness of the slave.
from the political lies,
i learned that truth cant be bought.
from the books i read,
i learned to reason and question.
from the heroin needle,
i learned the value of life.
from love lost,
i learned how to love.
from doubt i learned seeking,
in seeking i found god to be more.
from the scars on my heart,
i learned to be a man.
from battles fought and lost,
i learned the need for peace.
from discrimination i learned equality,
from anger i learned forgiveness.
from the mirror i learned responsibility...
from the bars of the cell,
i learned the sound of wings!

Terrible place
There is time to smell the flowers,
There is time to drink the wine,
We have time to sit and think
About the love we left behind.
There is time to be romantic,
There is time to say goodbye,
We have time to hear the music
Of the babies when they sigh.
There is time to feel remorseful,
There is time to heal old wounds,
We have time to learn the lessons
From the wars that brought us gloom.
There is time to feel excitement,
There is time to trust a friend,
We have time to love each other
In this world that we must tend.
There is time to watch the sunset,
There is time to sit and stare,
We have time to whisper softly
To the ones we find most fair.
There is time to see the heavens,
There is time to praise the Lord,
We have time to take slow walks
Across the fields that we adore.
Please let this be a lesson learned
Treasure each and every trice,
For time holds no one to itself
It’s lost at a terrible price……

One
We are the lost
The ones forgotten
And this time
The future is our's
It's in our hands
We're the tear in your eyes
We're the blood in your vains
We're the beat of your heart
We're the sweat on your face
We're the ones that you chase
We're the promise that you made
We're the voice in your head
We're the lies that you said
We're the kids that you pushed away
We are
We are the the lost
The ones forgotten
And this time
The future is our's
It's in our hands
We are one
We're the pride of your lives
We're the light shining deep in your eyes
We're the choice that you made
We're the smile on your face
When you sleep at night
We're the best thing you had
But you left us behind
We're the kids that you pushed away
We are
We are the the lost
The ones forgotten
And this time
The future is our's
It's in our hands
We are one
One
We're the pain that you feel
We're the scars that don't heal
We're the tear in your eyes
We're the reason you cry
We're the voice in your head
We're the lies that you said
We're the best thing you had
But you pushed us away
We are the lost
The ones forgotten
And this time
The future is our's
It's in our hands
We are
We are the lost
The ones forgotten
And we've got nothing to lose
Together we stand up tall
We are one

Early Works - Of Time And Change
Cloudy mornings of no reply
no twinkle of diamonds
sparkle your eyes
no break in the clouds
for the sun to shine through
no time to search
oh, where are you?
Land of a million disasters before
of sun and tepid soil
of skin glistening sweat
of heartaches and deep regret
of maiden lost afar
oh, who will search?
World where there is no return
lost from the lives of man
hope of no refrain
strangers in a time of change
no time to stop
oh, please look around.
A world of half-forgotten friends
happy times long ago
memories persist to haunt
the excitement of a meeting
sadness reflects the time
oh where did it go?

A Fishing Poem
A Fishing Poem
He was a gentle old man
Who reluctantly spoke
And he’d sit on the pier
And he’d fish and he’d smoke
His eyes and the lines on his face told a tale
While his leathery hands drew the bait from a pale
This man once a lad on this very wharf stood
And he leapt and he shouted as loud as he could
For each tiddler that wriggled on the end of his hook
With excitement and pride he would offer a look
To everyone passing “hey see what I caught”
And he’d show them his fish and he’d ask what they thought
But a lifetime had passed for that excited, fair boy
Many years filled with heartache, discovery and joy
Countless friends that have gone, fortunes both made and lost
And yes lessons were learned but each came at a cost
Now he sits and he lands every fish with such ease
And in silence he packs up each days end and leaves
Many times I’ve fished by him not so close to offend
And I’ve learned from his actions and regard him a friend
Though we speak very little and trade only a nod
And we focus our stare at the end of a rod
One day I’ll replace him in his spot on this pier
At my side another young face will appear
To ask all of the questions, then it will, be my turn
To quietly say “son, just watch and you’ll learn”

Crosseyed & Painless
Lost my shape-trying to act casual!
Cant stop-i might end up in the hospital
Im changing my shape-i feel like an accident
Theyre back!-to explain their experience
Isnt it weird/looks too obscure to me
Wasting away/and that was their policy
Im ready to leave-i push the fact in front of me
Facts lost-facts are never what they seem to be
Nothing there!-no information left of any kind
Lifting my head-looking for danger signs
There was a line/there was a formula
Sharp as a knife/facts cut a hole in us
There was a line/there was a forula
Sharp as a knife/facts cut a hole in us
Im still waiting...Im still waiting...Im still waiting...
Im still waiting...Im still waiting...Im still waiting...
Im still waiting...Im still waiting...
The feeling returns/whenever we close out eyes
Lifting my head/looking around inside
The island of doubt-its like the taste of medicine
Working by hindsight-got the message from the oxygen
Making a list-find the cost of opportunity
Doing it right-facts are useless in emergencies
The feeling returns/whenever we close out eyes
Lifting my head/looking around inside.
Facts are simple and facts are straight
Facts are lazy and facts are late
Facts all come with points of view
Facts dont do what I want them to
Facts just twist the truth around
Facts are living turned inside out
Facts are getting the best of them
Facts are nothing on the face of things
Facts dont stain the furniture
Facts go out and slam the door
Facts are written all over your face
Facts continue to change their shape
Im still waiting...Im still waiting...Im still waiting...
Im still waiting...Im still waiting...Im still waiting...
Im still waiting...Im still waiting...

Epiphany, Dead Man Walking
i learned to walk again,
the day you drove away
and left me standing in the drive...
i learned to see again,
staring at old photographs
in a book hid away.
i learned to think again,
thinking, and rethinking
every move and every action.
i learned to feel again,
struck dumb with waves of sorrow,
with blood on my lips.
i learned to cry again,
in the dark and sleepless night,
when no one else could see.
i learned to fight again,
pushed back against the wall
with nothing left to lose.
i learned to pray again,
to a God that doesnt answer,
from the gates of hell.
i learned to dream again,
violent shaking nightmares,
waking up to a cold sweat.
i learned to love again
to cherish every moment,
every touch forgotten.
i learned to walk again,
and walked off into the sunset
with our hearts in my hands.

Thank You
Thank you
for being cold hearted
and unkind to me.
Thank you
for not being there
everytime I needed you.
And most of all
thank you
for not loving me.
Because of that
I have learned
to be warm and kind
to myself.
Because of that
I have learned to trust myself
and now I'm strong enough
to chaste my forgotten dreams.
And because of that
I have learned
...to love me.

Accepted With A Teaching As Fact
It often amazes,
How literal interpretations given...
By those who are clueless,
Can be accepted with a teaching as fact.
To have not one of the lessons learned,
Be of substance.
But thrive on allegations AND debated.
'Where are your facts? '
~Facts?
These are not the times,
To confuse the issues with those.~

A childhood forgotten, A childhood lost
[NOTE: THIS POEM IS NOT TO BE USED ANYWHERE WITHOUT MY CONCENT. PLEASE USE THE LINKS IN MY BIOGRAPHY OR MESSAGES ON THIS SITE TO CONTACT ME. THANKS.]
I can't remember,
Skipping rocks on the pond,
My childhoods forgotten,
My Childhoods lost,
Going to the lake,
Sitting on the beach,
Playing with friends,
or dancing in the streets,
I can't remember,
The crash in the fog,
My childhood was forgotten,
My childhood was lost,
The doctor doing surgery,
Me getting pills,
I can't remember any of it,
None of it's clear,
I still can't remember,
How it is gone,
My childhood forgotten,
My childhood's lost!
Well I'm gonna end it right now,
I gonna kill myself off,
A childhood Forgotten,
A childhood lost

Honesty With-held
Opportunities to be relevant,
Are often missed...
When those relying on myths,
And nursery rhymes,
Find it difficult to come forward...
To be real.
Without the twisting of facts,
Done most of the time.
Facts soon are learned!
But honesty with-held,
Eventually suffers...
An onslaught of unexpected attacks.
And those attacks increase...
By those unbelieving truths released!
And disturbing it is to learn,
Truth and peace together is an explosive mix!

I Am A Soldier
I am a soldier
It started as a dream, a simple soldier from the street getting lost in a shacking world
I took a job as a street keeper but in my mind I am a mental child
From time to time I would battle in my dream trying to win a lost war
I open my eyes in the middle of the day saying goodbye to my boss as I walk away
I walk down street only to tried my limit, in my mind, my distant is unlimited
In the world I am the forgotten soldier lost in an open battle field
“I am the forgotten soldier, living as a legend on the street of nowhere, trying to take my place in this world”
I tried to understand my place in this world as I look side to side
I turn around to see who is targeting this lost soldier
Is my lost soul still a threat in the eye s of the world or am I the forgotten soldier that was blindly cast out
Away in a mental battle field
Please remember this young soldier and help me find my way in what remain of me
I am the forgotten soldier living as a mist in the eye of many
I am a living legend on the street of no where
“I am the forgotten soldier, living as a legend on the street of nowhere trying to take my place in this world”
Find this forgotten soldier and welcome me in a peaceful neighborhood where my mind would freely win the war
“I am the forgotten soldier, living as a legend on the street of nowhere trying to take my place in this world”

Feelings-07
Sadness is like being lost
Happiness is like nothing can go wrong
Music is like a summer day
Paris Hilton is an old forgotten dog
Excitement is overrated happiness
Boredom is what i feel everyday
Depression can be like a reflection of my life
Joy is a rare feeling i get when i feel loved
Pain is the hurt and sorrow you put me through
Misery is like having no one to stand beside you
Sadness is like being lost
Happiness is like nothing can go wrong

Head vs Heart
Head vs heart,
Reality vs dream,
But what happens,
When your head says dream,
Your heart says reality,
Can you trust them,
Or do you wait,
For some little sign,
And then you lose it all,
The dream, the reality,
Both are gone,
Over night everything’s lost,
Oh just to change time back,
And go with the heart,
Cos now I realise,
That’s what I wanted,
I just couldn’t see it,
Cos the head was trying,
To overrule my heart,
To save more pain,
In the end I lost,
Nobody else,
The one who’s lonely,
Without a hug,
That was a lesson learned,
Never to be forgotten,
Head vs heart,
I’ll pick heart every time!
