Head vs heart,
Reality vs dream,
But what happens,
When your head says dream,

A Silken Cloth
Sometimes we look but cannot see
the beauty there before us.
Sometimes we let go of something
we should have hung onto.
This happens all the time
concerning matters of the heart.
Sometimes our head rules our heart
and something wonderful is lost.
In the years that follow,
we live with our regret
of not following our heart
instead of following our head.
We reflect in our memories
making up what might have been,
when it is too late for us
to turn back the clock.
Always wondering what would have happened
if we had followed our heart.
We cannot foresee the future
and our destiny is always shrouded
within a silken cloth.
We can only go where
our future plans to lead us,
and our destiny is written.
Our what ifs and wonderings
are just fragments of our dreams.

Don’t trust a woman. They lie, manipulate, and deceive.
Don’t trust a woman. They say things to get you to believe,
That what they say is real and true, but listen to me as I tell you.
Don’t trust a woman. Lies are only what they can achieve.
Don’t give your heart away to a woman. They’ll crush, and stomp on it till it bleeds.
Don’t give your heart away to a woman. They’ll use you just to fulfill there needs.
They will turn to you for only a reason, but tear you apart in every years’ season…

The Nightmare That Set Me Free
There once was a dream I was fooled into thinking was reality
Because in that dream
You and me was something I wanted
But knew could never be
In that dream you stole my heart
And part of my sanity
In that dream my common sense
Unfortunately
Ran away from me
In that dream you captivated me
In that dream I was blinded
And the stars in your eyes
Were the only things I could see
But then that dream morphed into a nightmare
And I saw you for what you really were
I realized in that nightmare
I was nothing but the prey you were trying lure
In that nightmare I realized
This was nothing but a game to you
In that nightmare you had come oh so close to trapping me too
But I tossed and turned until I was freed
And when I opened my eyes from that nightmare
That I foolishly wanted to be you and me
I was the one who learned a lesson

Living In A Haunted Heart
I stumbled in and I fell straight asleep in the chair
Swear I did
Woke with a start and I thought I saw you floating by
Swear I did
The fixtures and furnitures the same
As the second you walked out the door
But here in my head you put a ghost train
And I cant go round any more
And I hear the passengers scream
Im living in a haunted heart
And I tell myself its all a bad dream

Too proud to beg you to come back
One more drink, the fairground fades to black
Every night
Days last for years til the dark, like a bear,
Puts his claws around my brain
Smack! bang on time, with your laugh, you walk in
Through the walls around my brain
The curtains and carpets are the same
As the day you dissolved in thin air
Now here I go queueing for the horror ride
Knowing I dont have the fare
And I hear the passengers scream
