Every man wishes to be wise, and they who cannot be wise are almost always cunning.

With Malice To Malign
It isn't wise to say unkind things,
Behind another's back.
It isn't wise or advisable to do that.
One never knows 'who' or 'what' is listening.
And how 'whatever' that is that hears,
Wishes to correct the misrepresentation...
With something done no one expects,
That may unexpectedly be severe.
No...
It isn't wise to say unkind things,
Behind someone's back.
It isn't wise or advisable to do that.
Especially if done with malice to malign.
Since one never knows how doing so,
Will someday affect one's mind with wishes...
Of having spent more time to conduct their own business.

Wise Up
Got myself in this situation,
Im not sure about.
Climbing in where theres temptation,
Can I get back out?
I never can quite find the answer,
The one I want to hear.
The one that justifies my action
Says the coast is clear.
Something on the outside
Says to jump on in,
But something on the inside
Is telling me again,
Chorus:
Better wise up.
Better think twice.
Never leave room for compromise.
You better wise up.
Better get smart.
And use your head to guard your heart.
Its gonna get rough,
So you better wise up.
Take a look at your intentions,
When you have to choose.
Could it be that apprehension,
Might be telling you,
To back off now is better,
So take your heart and run.
But get your thoughts together,
Before they come undone.
(repeat chorus)
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice.
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to.)
To back off now is better,
So take your heart and run.
But get your thoughts together,
Before they come undone.
(repeat chorus)
So you better wise up.
Better think twice.
And never leave room for compromise.
Oh, you better wise up.
Better get smart.
And use your head to guard your heart.
Its gonna get rough,
So you better wise up.
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (hohhhh!)
You got to wise up. (oh, yeah!)
You got to. you got to.)
So you better wise up, now....
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (better wise up, yall!)
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to. (oh, yeah!))
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (better...)
You got to wise up. (oh, you better wise up, now....)
You got to. you got to. (ohhhhh, yeah!!!))
(you got to wise up. (hoo! hoo, hoo, hoo, hoooooooo-hoo!!)
You got to think twice.
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to. (oh, got to show yo, yeah!))
(you got to wise up.
You got to think twice. (hoaa!! oowwwww!!!)
You got to wise up.
You got to. you got to.)

Wise kings generally have wise counselors; and he must be a wise man himself who is capable of distinguishing one.
Wise Man
I sat before the wise man
In the autumn of my youth
And I told him all
The things I had to know
He said you have the future
If you need to find the truth
And in his eyes
I saw that it was so
So I came right out
And asked him
The meaning of life
And as he smiled
I saw a twinkle in his eye
He said with all his years
Theres still so much
He has to learn
And once again
I saw that it was so
Keep on living, loving
Waiting your turn
Its the only way to
Ease your concern
If you want to find
Your dream, be sure
You dont wake up too soon
Or youll find it easier
Shooting for the moon
Wise man, wise man
Which way shall I run
Theres so many roads
So many ways to turn
I am like a blind man
Lost in the sun
I wanna be like you
And be a wise man too
But Im looking for
An easy way to learn
And be a wise man too

Playing The Role Of The Fool
ONE Day
the wise man plays the role of a fool
in the market place
he meets the wise man
of the town
he pays homage to his
black cap
the mark of the wise man
in that little
town far away from
civilization
he bows to him
and does not utter a word
the wise man
signals him to stop
and he looks at him
direct to his eyes
like a comet
shooting the blackness
of space
and the wise man kisses
his hand
bows down to him
and hands his right hand to him
for a handshake
obviously the eyes of the birds
of the same feathers
understand their
chosen silences

The Wise And The Foolish
Oh woe is me if all around me thinks me foolish!
Oh woe is me for all around me have tought themselves wise!
Wise is he that knows that he is foolish and seeks to be wise!
And foolish is he that knows not that he is a fool and thus seeks not wisdom!
Oh man, answer thee this! Is it better to be foolishly wise or to be wisely foolish?
Seek thou the truth and it shall set you free from thy woes!

A Kid In Me...
A KID WITHIN ME...
With time i have grown
but all the while
i have known
There is a kid within me.
The innocence lost
and a false notion of being wise has seeped in
But somewhere within
the innocence still lingers and has a selfless smile.
Wicked actions
Cunning games
Always seeking some selfish gain
The kid within me unaware of such a pain.
The kid within me
wants to dance when it rains
wants to cry when it pains
wants to be kissed once again.
There is a kid within me
who doesnt want to grow
He doesnt wanna know
why does it pain to grow up & be wise.

Wisely Love The Wise
The wise love wisely.
It’s said, that when the truly wise
surface from their sleep,
they see nought but heavenly blue
in which the world then gently, slowly shapes itself
as if this whole created world were but
a single act of love; and within that love,
their love is wisdom, knowledge, law;
as they emerge from their wise sleep,
this is what they are.
The wise love wisely; when they look at you,
(you who maybe meet them for
the first time; offer them perhaps
a flower from too hot a hand,
a fruit, a handkerchief…
or meet them by some heavenly accident,
they, like a comet through your life)
and their first so wise glance at you
sees nought but your perfection;
they do not doubt that you are they,
that they are you; and while they’re here
you share all this with them;
you’ve met yourself; for this
is what you are..
The wise are careful lovers
for love is care, and care is charity;
and yet the wise are widest, wildest,
most romantic lovers:
they throw, they strew their love
on all and every one and thing without a further thought,
offering simply, lawful freedom, happiness;
bidding love well as it flies away,
wishing you themself;
wishing you, yourself;
The wise love wisely;
for they know the secret law of love:
the more it’s given, the more there is
to give.
The wise love wisely;
so, they wear a wise disguise;
they look like you and me; because
we are that same disguise.

Small Seeds
One has a small seed in the plants of the world,
It has watched over us when we sleep and pray.
The wise women of the land abruptly speak
And cause the wise men of this laid land to listen
Fully in accordance with God's wishes.
Both of the wiser people shall obtain a remainder,
And a reminder, for the solutions are separate.
A true arrow is unleashed due to bad thoughts,
And this envelope of sin has accomplished no partnership.
The one who has a seed to sow shall damn the blind works,
Shall never float on the crests of the river, as its bed has friction
With us and our souls, that long for more of a demise.
Let the unscathed be damned once the energy has been retained,
For wishes are to be made aright by the one who sees
Whatever is and whenever is the event.

Mr Wise Guy
(r palmer)
Whod ever guess to look at her?
They say shes a dancer but they dont fool me
You thought you knew it all, cos youd been there
Thought she was a flirt you didnt know her
You kissed the girls and made them cry
You thought you would be only hello-goodbye
But now a twist of love has changed your world
Till I kissed her I was just another wise guy
You thought you were so cool
(wise guy)
You had all the right moves
You said beware shell break your heart
Shes about to turn around and prove you wrong
You thought you had the map, shes off the chart
Try to keep up with her if youre such a wise guy
Her kisses gave you the clue
(wise guy)
And now you know what to do
Didnt gamble, never won a prize
Rush to judgement and you pay the price
How could you presume to be qualified
If it bit you wouldnt recognise it!
You said love was for fools
(wise guy)
Then she broke all your rules
Whod ever guess to look at her
They shes a teaser but they cant fool me
Because I met my match when I met her;
Hast la vista mr wise guy
You misjudged her so eat humble pie
Your opinion wasnt justified
You were cautious, youd been hurt inside
Wouldnt risk it so you just criticised her
You said love was for fools
(wise guy)
But love knows better than you
(wise guy)
You thought you were so cool
(wise guy)
But now we know whos the fool
(mr wise guy)

The Seers!
A DAY IS BORN FOR THE WISE!
SEE YE THE FUTURE!
IT HOLDS WISDOM FOR THE WISE!
THEY THAT SEE THE PRESENT ARE BUT LOOKERS!
THEY THAT SEE THE FUTURE ARE BUT VISIERS!
AND THEY THAT SEE ETERNITY ARE GRAND VISIERS!
I HAVE SEEN INFINITY AND BEYOND!
AND LO! THE WISDOM OF THE WISE IS BECOME FOOLISHNESS!
AND THE WISDOM OF THEIR ASTROLOGERS ARE BECOME INSANITY!
IF THEY BE WISE, WHY SOWETH THEY' ETERNAL TROUBLES AS SEED FOR THEIR FUTURE CHILDREN?
FOR LO, LIKE A SEA IS THE ENEMIES THAT HAS FALLEN UPON THE POWERS THAT BE TODAY!
TRUELY, I SAW MYSELF IN THAT SEA!

The King and The Wise Man
A king asks to a wise man:
'Should my heart hot?
Full of energy and blood
Or should my heart cold?
Full of calculation and plot'
A wise man answers:
'Should your heart warm
So everybody could feel calm
In your arms'
A king asks to a wise man:
'Should my heart black?
Rules my kingdom with fear and dark
Or should my heart white?
Always lives in the world's bright side'
A wise man answers:
'Should your heart grey
The color of human that wants to seek
What's wrong and right'
A king asks to a wise man:
'Should my heart hard?
Strong like steel that can't be beaten by anyone
Or should my heart soft?
Harmless like cotton that easily touched by everyone'
A wise man answers:
'Should your heart flexible
Mold like rubber that could protect people you love'

You Dont Have To Be Old To Be Wise
Ive had enough of being programmed
And told what I ought to do
Lets get one thing straight
Ill choose my fate
And its got nothing to do with you
The years are flying by and its time I got high
Took a sample of the good things in life
This is a chance
Im gonna take
Gonna kick out trouble and strife
I grow sick and tired of the same old lies
Might look a little young
So whats wrong
You dont have to be old to be wise
No I dont care that the people stare
Accuse me of going mad
Just get a long hard look into the mirror
Then, tell me now whos been had
The way things are going I wont get to show em
Go single all the times up to me
So its off with the ties
No compromise
Wanna taste what its like to be free
I grow sick and tired of the same old lies
Might look a little young
So whats wrong
You dont have to be old to be wise
I grow sick and tired of the same old lies
Might look a little young
So whats wrong
You dont have to be old to be wise
Alright, Im gonna gather my things
Go through the door
Live and let live from now on
At last a free hand, no longer pre-planned
I got a will of my own
I go as I please
Fend for myself
Pull all the stops, throw the dice
Out on my own, gonna go it alone
When I need it
Then Ill ask for advice
You dont have to be old to be wise
You dont have to be old to be wise
You dont have to be old to be wise
You dont have to be old to be wise
You dont have to be old to be wise
You dont have to be old to be wise
You dont have to be old to be wise

The Very Wise Woman
The very wise woman she said to her son
If you cannot love yourself you cannot love anyone
With what she said I for one cannot disagree
She does seem a very wise person to me
The truth in her words I have come to realize
For one in her early thirties she does seem so wise
She said to her son your love of self to love of others expand
Of how love works she is one who does understand
Wisdom does not have an age to it as we have been told
A marvellous insight from a young mother to her nine year old
And since self love is a sibling of compassion and ruth
Her words to her son in them have the beauty of truth
If you cannot love yourself you cannot love anyone
The very wise woman she said to her son.
