Playing The Role Of The Fool

ONE Day
the wise man plays the role of a fool
in the market place
he meets the wise man
of the town

he pays homage to his
black cap
the mark of the wise man
in that little
town far away from
civilization

he bows to him
and does not utter a word

the wise man
signals him to stop
and he looks at him
direct to his eyes
like a comet
shooting the blackness
of space

and the wise man kisses
his hand
bows down to him
and hands his right hand to him
for a handshake

obviously the eyes of the birds
of the same feathers
understand their
chosen silences
