London's Heart
(Terrorist attack Friday 7th July 2005)
London's heart lies bleeding
Her citizens are grieving
And again she took the blows
Standing firm with spirit unbroken.
Londoners suffered the blitz
Nazi Doodlebugs and V2 rockets
The IRA terrorist bombers
Survived united not broken.
Terror will not crush her proud heart
She will never surrender to infamy
Standing for Freedom and Democracy
Against those who would dominate the world.

My Prison of Visions
Another bomb explodes, bodies far and wide;
The concussion spreads, resembling a tide.
These terrorist, murderers they are, soldiers not;
Targeting the young, old, murder they plot.
These visions I have seen, imprison my mind;
In a world of evil, the pits of mankind.
Where children are slain, used for their purity;
Terrorist know the good, saving the young is surety.
The prison that holds my mind is hell;
Where the evil call home, long they dwell.
This prison was created, by the sons of the devil;
Terrorist who seek many deaths, organized to bedevil.
They murder their own, who just seek peace;
They only want a vote, of who shall police.
Over and over, I see it, over and over;
People mowed down by this concussion.

Killing innocent people by surprise is not called "a thousand points of light." But, as frightening as terrorism is, it's the weapon of losers. The minute somebody sets off a suicide bomb, you can be sure that person doesn't have "career prospects." And no matter how horrendous a terrorist attack is, it's still conducted by losers.

In Memoriam Ulrike Meinhof
Sweet terrorist,
You were a dream I had,
I dreamt of us sleeping by a disused railway,
How your hair was as dark as a night without stars,
I dreamed of our moonless sleep.
We were gods in our own political heaven -
I worshipped you for sure.
Weren't we worth much more
Than their thirty pieces of silver?
The night cries out for its martyrs that were murdered
It wasn't suicide.
They thought they were so clever.
You bartered your soul for rifles
And grenades
And dried my tears with the smoke from your pistols.
You were my sweet terrorist,
Sleep peacefully forever.

At Guantanamo
Come around
Listen in
Settle down
Hear the sound
Of the maimed and the missing
Of Guantanamo
Think of yesterday
now today
Victor Jara and Emmett Till
Will help you watch
new fingers break
Under boots of Goodyear Rubber
At Guantanamo
The kidnapped and the maimed
The punished and the tortured
suicide and murder
we leave all this and more
for our children to redeem
In Guantanamo
Seamless war
Every soldier is a willing terrorist
Waiting only for the order to come
To pull the trigger on someone
And throw granites at another one.
Every terrorist is a forced soldier
Waiting to annihilates the suppression
And free the people of their love
From the wilderness in the civilization.
What matters here is both kills
One claims to kill to defense
Another claim to kill to free
At the end both become the losers
And innocent people gather tears in their eyes.
Guns and granites is no peace matters
Once they are touched forever follows the fear
Every second each one dies in freezing heat
That boils the heart and soul and conscience.
Rights is what the terrorist is fighting for
Might is what the soldier is given
When the soldier dies, he dies and gains
When a terrorist dies, he dies in vain
Yet each has the essential supports
The soldier’s essence is to defend
While the terrorist break the fence.
Be it in defense
Or a wave in defiance
The earth is wet again and again
With the blood of human agony
And again the people gather tears in their eyes.
That which lives so far
Through the many wars
Are not man and his will
But the guns that kill.
Open the eyes my brothers
The soldier and the terrorist,
We can’t cup the water in both palms
And walk a hundred miles to quench the dying souls
Its next to our feet, we shall bow and lift the humanity.

Irony
A severed hand on my shoulder
wrenches it off.
You sit on a toadstool
to measure the depth of grass.
A raven scans the earth:
nothing was left to eat.
The hungry urchins had
already punctured the garbage can.
A live show of committing suicide
will take place tonight.
To become silent in roaring noises
was the outcome of a dive.
A terrorist in pilgrim’s pouch walks past
a bomb. The wires reach in the schism
of a faith. Again you cry in your skin
for sake of a forgotten god.
