Irony

A severed hand on my shoulder
wrenches it off.
You sit on a toadstool
to measure the depth of grass.

A raven scans the earth:
nothing was left to eat.
The hungry urchins had
already punctured the garbage can.

A live show of committing suicide
will take place tonight.
To become silent in roaring noises
was the outcome of a dive.

A terrorist in pilgrim’s pouch walks past
a bomb. The wires reach in the schism
of a faith. Again you cry in your skin
for sake of a forgotten god.

Tortures Of Life

Late one night, almost twelve midnight
I sat alone on my bathroom floor.
The cool air brushed my skin.
Old habits coming back to haunt me.
Slowly I slipped into a fog, where I was not sure if I was awake, or asleep.
I awoke - at least I thought I did.
Strange noises came from my shoulders.
I looked up and on my shoulder
I saw a
Raven
and a
Dove
But something was strange about these birds.
They talked. They talked to me, with words.
The Raven told me to reach up and grab what it knew I wanted.
Whispering how my world was slowly falling apart, whispering words of evil.
The Dove talked in a peaceful voice, no evil detected.
The Dove whispered in my ear, all the good things I had to live for.
The Raven stepped off my shoulder and glared at the Dove.
It spoke, in a language I could not understand.
The Dove,
disappeared.
Now it was only I and the Raven
I kept quite quiet.
I needn't speak.
The Raven's eyes peered into my soul.
All the memories of my past I had tried to forget
Flooded back.
I thought to myself, still not saying anything
'Why? Why is this Raven using these memories to torture me to insanity? '
The Raven spoke, in a very hushed tone.'Never again.'
I pondered by what he meant.
Before I could speak, the Raven explained.
'Never. Again. Will you feel the joys of life for life is over. Never. Again.'
I kept quite quiet.
The Raven then left.
Leaving me with my scars on my wrist burning.
Never Again I whispered.
Never Again.

Commit To Suicide

I'm in my room,
In darkness and cold,
I am thinking of committing suicide.

I'm always alone,
And never having any fun,
I'm thinking of committing suicide.

I run away from home,
I'm no where to be found,
I'm thinking of committing suicide.

I have a knife in my hand,
And this note in the other,
I'm thinking of committing suicide.

Now that I am alone,
With this knife to my chest,
I'm about to commit suicide.

I say my last word,
' This was my fat and goodbye, '
I'm about to commit suicide.

I take my last breath,
And now I am dead,
I have just commit to suicide.

Raven, Raven

I took my children to the Zoo.
That was in March of 1993
And there was a sharp wind.
We saw a black
Raven who had stories.
'Are you thirsty, Raven? '
They asked him.
He said: 'Raven, Raven.'
'Are you hungry, Raven? '
He said: 'Raven, Raven'
'Do you have a family, Raven? '
I asked.
He said: 'Raven, Raven.'
We came back smiling
My children and I.
The children left.
We remained: sharp wind and me.
We went to my apartment:
My memories and I.
Unbearable loneliness.
I went to a pub.
The waiter asked:
'Are you thirsty or hungry?
You are not with your kids tonight? '
I replied: 'RAVEN, RAVEN.'

This Town

I'm cured
When you say there's something left
It's pure
Just to know we will always be friends
I hope you find your mind and let them go
Theres nothing left to do in this town
Theres no where left to fly but on the ground
I'll reach you
It's over me
That I cannot describe it
My friends
You know that I can't hide it
Like planets
Contemplate my worlds
Painting all the colours
Running dry like me
There's nothing left to say in this town
There's nowhere left to hide but inside pride
I'll reach you
I'll reach you
Theres nothing left to do in this town
Theres no where left to fly but on the ground
I'll reach you
Tonight (I'll reach you)
Tonight (I'll reach you)
Tonight (I'll reach you)
Tonight
I'm cured
When you say there's something left
When you say there's something left
I'm cured
There's nothing left to do in this town
There's no where left to fly but on the ground
I'll reach you
Tonight (I'll reach you)
Tonight (I'll reach you)
Tonight (I'll reach you)
Tonight (no matter were u are)
Tonight
Tonight
I'll reach you
I'll reach you

Ellens' Story-Almost Dead

Suicide, will that happen to me? It is not I, who will
cause this final act in life, it is the dark side of
who I am. I want to live, however, the monster, who
resides inside me...wants to commit suicide.

Everything I do...everywhere I go, blackness, inevitable
doom, trails me. I hear his voice,
'Do it...commit suicide. You have nothing to live for...do it! '

Alone, I sob. 'What about the people that love me?
I don't want to hurt them.' His voice again...
'Do it. Kill yourself. You'll be doing them a favor.'

I stare at the bottle of sleeping pills. Suicide...suicide,
it seems a way to solve all my problems.
'YES! The voice blared! Suicide is the answer! '

Suicide? No. Yes.No...what...what to do?
I need to talk with someone. Who? No one!
God...if you're up there, help me. Give me
a sign. I wait...Nothing. No word. No sign.

Slowly, I move to the closet, remove my clothes
and slip on my favorite robe. Tears roll down
my cheeks, as I turn on some soft music.

The voice again: 'That's it. Make yourself comfortable,
then...do it! '

I move to the bed, sit down and reach for the glass
of water. With one hand, I snap off the cap on the
bottle of sleeping pills. Slowly, I move the bottle
toward my mouth.

''Ellen...Ellen? '
From outside my bedroom door, I can
hear my little brother calling me.
'Ellen....'

I hesitate, I don't want him to be the one
that finds me. Quickly, I place the pills
on the nightstand, and replace the cap.
I move to the door and open it.
My brother, is standing there, smiling at me.
'Ellen, watcha ya doin''

I couldn't say committing suicide.
'Just watching a little t.v.'
'Can I come in, ' he said.

I thought about how much he and my family
loved me. I thought about a bunch of other
things I had to be thankful for. I gave serious
about life, and I treasured it. Suicide?
Not tonight.

I look at my little brother and never loved
him more.

'Sure...come in, we'll watch t.v. together.'

Song: Suicide City

Down at suicide city,
Null of pride and past all pity.
Suicide city:
A stressed out Walter Mitty,
I'm at suicide city,
And I've maxed out my last chitty.
Suicide city, for my crime.

It's the dreaming and aphasic snow,
The white noise of this constant go.
And frozen in the cauldron's glow,
Of demons and my fears of woe;
The neediness of knee-jerk foe,
Who'd stand and fight them toe to toe,
Toe to toe, toe to toe...

Down at suicide city,
With nothing in the kitty.
Suicide city:
My life has got so shitty.
I'm at suicide city,
Waist deep in nitty-gritty.
Suicide city. In the slime.

It's the waking and the finding,
Of the ties, no longer binding,
In a white light: burning, blinding,
That no-one wants to know.
It's the grating and the grinding,
Of my teeth and nerves unwinding.
It's the brazen lies, reminding me
Of a dog and pony show!

Down at suicide city,
There ain't no joke so witty.
Suicide city:
The outcome won't be pretty.
I'm at suicide city,
Where I'll sing my final ditty.
Suicide city. Done my time.
I've done my time!

Did You Live? Did You Dare?

when the stage goes dark,
and the crowd goes silent...
whose voice whispers in the quiet?
whose hand upon your shoulder?

when the show is over,
and they roll the credits...
will your name be called?
what will they say you have done?

did you feed someone hungry,
throw a blanket over the cold?
did you wipe away a tear?
did you hold the hand of a frightened child?

did you stand against the wars?
did you grow your own food?
did you listen, did you care?
did you risk it all for a moment of love?

did you live? did you dare?

Suicide, suicide
Your presence is near
Suicide, suicide
I wish you were here
Suicide, suicide
Take me away
Suicide, suicide
Please make it today
Suicide, suicide
An answer, for me
Suicide, suicide
I need to escape, be free
Suicide, suicide
I’ve had too much
Suicide, suicide
Take me, do your touch
Suicide, suicide
Leave the rest behind
Suicide, suicide
You’re all over my mind
Suicide, suicide
Let me pass in peace
Suicide, suicide
I need to release

Under The Gun

Looking at babys face I saw the plight of the
Human race
Dying to survive
Shaken by the irony the anger rose inside of me
And would not, would not subside
I thought youre too young to understand
That the fate of every mortal man
Rests in someones mortal hand tonight
In the nuclear insanity theres a death watch
On the land and sea
And I believe that we may never live our lives
We were born under the gun and just like
Every mothers son
We are hostage to the megaton and the world
Could die tonight
Under the gun, we live in fear that the end
Will come
But theres one place to run
Run to the son
Everyone can see that the hour is late
And every soul on earth got to demonstrate
Their loving if were to survive
cos were tired of living on the brink
Scared to death that our ship will sink
At the winking of an eye
This course were ons a big mistake
cos we all lose in the nuclear race
Its time to show all the heads of state that we
Believe
Yes we believe that were fighting for our lives
We were born under the gun and just like
Every mothers son
We are hostage to the megaton and the world
Could die tonight
Under the gun, we live in fear that the end
Will come
But theres one place to run
Run to the son
Theres a finger on the button but if its
Pressed were not forgotten
Millions speak, feel no fear
The mood to change is in ascendance here
Theres a finger on the button but if its
Pressed were not forgotten
Millions speak, feel no fear
The mood to change is in ascendance here
Theres a finger on the button but if its
Pressed were not forgotten
Theres a finger on the button but if its
Pressed were not forgotten

Suicide, suicide
Come and save me
Suicide, suicide
Come and take me
Suicide, suicide
Where are you hiding
Suicide, suicide
Please let it be now
Suicide, suicide
Give me and answer
Suicide, suicide
Release me, i beg of you
Suicide, suicide
I can't take no more
Suicide, suicide
Free me, please touch me
Suicide, suicide
Help me end this
Suicide, suicide
It's only you in my mind

Take me silently

I need it now more than ever

Silver Sleep

A night I will commit
A most ungodly thing
I will commit suicide
With the poison I keep

A night I will commit
My last dropp of blood
I will commit suicide
Because you did too

I will commit my suicide
Tonight at sunrise, on the
Roof of Hell, I will commit suicide
With a poison of Silver Sleep

As I take the syringe
And fill it with
The one dropp of the poison
I begin to taste it before it touches skin

The syringe is filled
I place the needle in my skin
And I press the back of the syringe down
The silver liquid passes through my system

I feel no pain
I am now dieing
Lights show around me
As blood passes my lips

The one I love is next to me
But I can no longer hear his voice
My eyes close and I see only darkness
My commitment to suicide has been fore filled.

I dropp the syringe as I fall
To the city street below me
The poison from the Silver Sleep
Is now upon me forever.

Soul Less

And he walks soul less.
the past dark and endless.
skeltons we all have.
his always whispering.
And he walks soul less.

Grass green, but he cant smell it.
sky blue but he cant see it
life wonderess. but he has forgotten.
And he walks soul less.

Towards a destiny he cant avoid
a destiny he fears he created.
a destiny paid for in spades.
And he walks soul less

Scared, broken, unloved, shamed.
the ground all his eyes now ponder.
a man in body only.
And he walks soul less

This 1 S 4 U

be a model
when you speak
of suicide

be brave
and be a man
when you lecture
about suicide

be cool
and be strong
and be candid
when the theme
is suicide

be truthful and be
kind when you lecture
about suicide

do not leave
us all guilty
be fair and be just
when you write a poem
about suicide when you say
there is nowhere to run
there is nowhere to hide

be clear and be not hardheaded
when you speak
about this goddamn suicide
be sympathetic
have a little empathy
compassion
and be honest when you
begin to touch
on suicide

have faith
and be specific about it
when you speak of suicide

say who
fix when and what means
what end

and be reasonable about
why........

then do it, if you will
if you won't
don't ever speak about it
again

if you speak
then you will be
dead
and if you are silent
then you
are damned

Youve Forgotten

Youve been passed around from hand to hand
Cast upon the darkest sands
Now youre so confused that you can hardly stand
Forgotten, youve forgotten now youre on the run
Forgotten, youve forgotten
How to live beneath the sun
How to live beneath the sun
Before you left I thought I knew
That you would always need me too
I never thought someday, that Id be telling you
Youve forgotten, youve forgotten
The things you used to feel
Forgotten, youve forgotten
How to smile for real
How to smile for real
And for the changes you have made
Your beauty was the price you paid
All your dreams rose up and then you watched them fade.
Youve forgotten, youve forgotten
Youve forgotten, youve forgotten
The best is always yet to come
The best is always yet to come
The best is always yet to come
And how to live beneath the sun

I Hear The Raven Sing

I can hear the raven sing,
I can hear the raven sing,
He calls out my name,
I can hear the raven sing,

He calls out to me,
His song is singing in the wind,
I can hear the raven sing,
Thunder breaks a silent moment,
Then he calls out my name,
A spiritual glow envelops,
Medicine power develops,
As the raven sings,

A rainbow doubled,
My minds not troubled,
As I hear the raven sing,
It’s time to go home,
My ancestors wait for me,
The welcome hand is extended,
My place around the council fire reserved,
I hear the raven sing,
There, all that was, is preserved,
And the message of the raven heard.
My Vision my Dream.
