We didn't readjust our thinking or rebuild quick enough.

Everyone Was There

Thinking about senior year
Everyone was here
Playing capture the flag at the park
Didn’t stop ‘til it got dark
And the very next day
Had poison on my arms and legs
And I didn’t even care
Because everyone was there

We were young and stupid
We were wild and crazy
But we didn’t even care
Because everyone was there

Thinking about that one Saturday
Was having fun in our own way
At a friends house we were spending the night
Think that was true? Yeah right
We were partying hard in the field
If my parents found out I’d be killed
But I didn’t even care
Because everyone was there

We were young and stupid
We were wild and crazy
But we didn’t even care
Because everyone was there

Thinking about graduation night
We were all as high as a kite
Laughing about the whole year
And we were all here
Sitting around a bonfire
With a bottle of fire water
And I didn’t even care
Because everyone was there

We were young
And we were so stupid
We were wild
And we were so crazy
We didn’t have a worry or a care
Because everyone was there

There are a number of steps that we can take to reinvigorate and rebuild the economic and the physical infrastructure of our country and then to rebuild us, frankly, on a spiritual level.

Lacey had this huge chip on his shoulder. He walked into the room thinking that the people didn't welcome him and didn't like him. He gave the impression that he didn't understand the Voice and New York, and he didn't want to.

Quick

Quick to dismiss,
That which is misunderstood.
And quick to do this often.
Because one can and could.

Quick to define something wrong.
Quick to complain about it,
All day long.
Quick to sit to nitpick and pull apart.
As if this quickness was intended from the start.

Quick to resist a comprehension that exist.
Quick to allow a temper tantrum fit.
Quick to whip up excuses...
And split to disappear.

Quick to discover the nearest exit!
That's what troublemakers do...
When they stir up others in raging fits!

Inauguration Platform Song

Rebuild the railways!
See those bullet trains
Superheroes in the night
Scattering the leaves and dust
Speeding like arrows to the coast
Rebuild the railways!
Bring high-fliers to the land
Speculators down to earth
Investors make a killing
Passengers can surf
Across the virtual plains
Rebuild the railways!
Magnetic rails to rising sun
National spirit of Whitman
In the post-industrial age
Obama's legacy to come
Speeding through our freighted days
Don't be slow, super-conductors
Get on board, fire up the train
It's time to dump the fossil fuel
Turn destiny to destination
Waiting in anticipation
With pre-paid ticket at the station
Time has come!
Rebuild the railways!

Thinking of you on your birthday! Leah :)

Another year another birthday thinking of you all day

Thinking about school the old times, the memories stay

Thinking about laughs and good times we had in class

Thinking about the joys of the past

Thinking of technology class and the time everyone loved the pizza man song

Thinking about XL and the day we did up the room with paint

Thinking about the time Verneita pretended to faint (LOL)

Thinking about the time we all got out of school early when it snowed and went up the golf

Remember the times we used to get in trouble and we didn’t even care sometimes I wish I could do it all again.

Thinking of you on your birthday :)

Thinking Man's Blues

i was thinking about Jesus
i was thinking about robbing a bank
thinking about the band a playin'
while the Titanic sank
thinking 'bout salvation
thinking about getting free
thinking and a wondering
do you ever think about me?

i was thinking about generations
i was thinking about saving grace
i was thinking about truth and lies
thinking about flesh and lace
thinking about redemption
and rivers running to the sea
thinking and a wondering
do you ever think about me?

i was thinking about the Dharma
'bout Martin Luther King
thinking about Merle Haggard
thinking about James Dean
thinking about the costs of war
about moral depravity
thinking and a wondering
do you ever think about me?
thinking and a wondering
do you ever think about me?

I would love to go back and help rebuild that country and help - you know, kind of like what's going on with Iraq right now. You know, they've got a new government in place. They're trying to rebuild the country. I would love for that to happen in Cuba also.

Need To Rebuild

disasters must come
this is an irrefutable
law of nature

disasters so big too big
to big to comprehend
to big to imagine

can't rebuild give up
we cannot must not give up
we must rebuild to live

Most of the younger people I knew didn't seem to have a handle on things; they hadn't found their place, they didn't understand how the world works, they didn't understand how to treat other people, and they didn't know how to stop thinking about themselves.

From The Heart

there was a time when our dreams felt so real
just out of reach but not too far to feel
together we'd finally make them come true
'cause anything's possible when i was with you
but they kept on saying we'd never amount to anything...
all of the dreams we built up from the ground
they never believed them they just tore them down
we will rebuild them from the start, we will rebuild them from the heart
'cause once all we wanted seemed so far away
but with every step it was closer each day
the more that we tried it was within our grasp
the more that they told us that it wouldn't last
and everyone said we were crazy for giving up on everything..

Confession

Some folk think I'm dotty
and I have to confess to a point
especially when I'm still yawning
I know that my thinking's not right.

But sometimes life deals me wrong'n
and quick as a flash I'm messed up
my skirt gets tucked into my knickers
and loo papers sticks to my bum.

I went to the hair dressers Friday
and asked her to dye my hair red,
of course I didn't mean bright red
a brownish red's what I meant.

She didn't think two bits about it,
and mixed up the dye in a tick,
it was purplish pink if I'm honest
and now I just look like a twit.

My hearing's not what it might be
My eyesight is very bad too
but now that my hair's dyed bright purple
my street cred's all gone, I tell you.

So I've taken to being a hoody
I reckon I'm looking real cool
they've banned me from my local Tesco's
and told me I should be in school!

Didnt Know

Didn't know what you had
Until you lost it
Didn't know what you own
Until you got it
Didn't know of your sins
Until you fought it.
Didn't know what you needed
Until you sought it.

Didn't know your lies
Until someone spoke them
Didn't know of the truth
Until someone wrote them
Didn't remembered your dreams
Until someone awoke them
Didn't know they died
Until someone chocked them.

Didn't know you had guilt
Until you cried
Didn't know you felt sadness
Until you tried to hide
Didn't know you felt shame
Until you lied
Didn't know you believed in GOD
Until you asked him why.

Didn't know you felt sorrow
Until you shed a tear
Didn't know that you were scared
Until I saw your fear
Didn't know that you hated
Until you were near
Didn't know that you were unhappy
Until you looked in a mirror.

Didn't know who you truly were
Until your ways you sewed
Didn't know that you were evil
Until the truth was showed
Didn't know you did this before
Until I saw all of your woe
Didn't know who you really were
Though I wished then I did know.

Heath Ledger

I start to get bored, not with the choices I was making, because I didn't really have a choice. The choices were being made for me -- I was being thrown into projects. So I kind of put the brakes on that. In a sense, I destroyed my career to rebuild it again.

The Watch

I wakened on my hot, hard bed;
Upon the pillow lay my head;
Beneath the pillow I could hear
My little watch was ticking clear.
I thought the throbbing of it went
Like my continual discontent,
I thought it said in every tick:
I am so sick, so sick, so sick;
O death, come quick, come quick, come quick,
Come quick, come quick, come quick, come quick.

We are not utilizing the Iraqi oil for U.S. purposes. We are not asking that the Iraqi oil be used to pay our military expenses. We are asking only that the Iraqi oil be used to rebuild Iraq - that is, to rebuild Iraq for the Iraqi people.
