During our travels, the Indians entertained me well; and their affection for me was so great, that they utterly refused to leave me there with the others, although the Governor offered them one hundred pounds sterling for me, on purpose to give me a parole to go home.

Heartbreaker
(russ ballard)
And theres no need to tell me Im just wasting time
But if you tell me break it slowly
Im in deep water and Im hanging on a line
And youre the only one can save me
But if you gotta go
I think you better know
Oh, heartbreaker, if you wanna leave
I wont make you stay
If you wanna go, better go away
Oh, you loser, offered you a love
You refused her
What you gonna do when she goes away
I know the memories melt their pictures in my mind
Too bad to see they could be fading
But Ill come home to you
If someday you should find
You want me back then Ill be waiting
But if you gotta go
I think you better know
Oh, heartbreaker, if you wanna leave
I wont make you stay
If you wanna go, better go away
Oh, you loser, offered you a love
You refused her
What you gonna do when she goes away
Um, heartbreaker, if you wanna leave
I wont make you stay
If you wanna go, better go away
Oh, you loser, offered you a love
And you refused her
What you gonna do when she goes away
Oh, what you gonna do when she goes away

Governor Isaac Stevens of the Washington Territory said there were a great many white people in our country, and many more would come; that he wanted the land marked out so that the Indians and the white man could be separated.

Star power
Expecting disagreement
New thought came
The door opened for those
Who wanted something
And they entertained.
Embarking on a journey
The journey of imagination
Affection reputation
New thought arrived
At my door and I
Entertained with all
Disagreements therein.

A Winning Philosophy
when life handed me
sour lemons
I made lemonade
when life handed me
sour grapes
I made rich red wine
when life was a dangerous
roller coaster
I refused to get on for the ride
when life offered
a shit sandwich
I refused to eat it

did not the great

We’re Indians First and Lastly!
We’re Indians firstly!
And that’s the way, we’re known all o’er the globe;
And that is what we tell the world around;
This is our primary identity.
We’re Indians firstly!
We may belong to any state by birth;
Then come our language, creed, community;
We’re Indians primarily!
We’re Indians firstly!
United are we by the tricolor;
The soil is one, though states be many;
We’re Indians basically!
We’re proud of our rich our Indian heritage;
Our thirst is quenched by rivers of India;
Our hunger is appeased by crops grown here;
We’re Indians first and ultimately!
Let none dare try to sow seeds of discord;
The Indian’s free to live in any state;
When asked, let always be our reply,
‘We’re Indians firstly!
God gave one sun and moon to all of us;
We live under the sky, our common roof;
We enjoy freedom got by same ‘Struggle’!
We’re Indians all, firstly!
We’re Indians firstly!
Our patriotism is Indianness;
Our pride’s in being born as Indians;
We’re Indians first and lastly!
All Indians are our brothers and sisters;
We love our fellowmen as our brethren;
Same blood of oneness flows within us all;
We’re Indians first, always, ultimately!

The Traveller
Reply to Rudyard Kipling’s ‘He travels the fastest who travels alone.’
Who travels alone with his eye on the heights,
Though he laughs in the day time oft weeps on the nights;
For courage goes down at the set of the sun,
When the toil of the journey is all borne by one.
He speeds but to grief though full gaily he ride
Who travels alone without love at his side.
Who travels alone without lover of friend
But hurries from nothing, to naught at the end.
Though great be his winnings and high be his goal,
He is bankrupt in wisdom and beggared in soul.
Life’s one gift of value to him is denied
Who travels alone without love at his side.
It is easy enough in this world to make haste
If one live for that purpose – but think of the waste;
For life is a poem to leisurely read,
And the joy of the journey lies not in its speed.
Oh! vain his achievement and petty his pride
Who travels alone without love at his side.

The tide of immigration in Canada has not been as great as along our frontier. They have been able to allow the Indians to live as Indians, which we have not, and do not attempt to force upon them the customs which are distasteful to them.

We used to root for the Indians against the cavalry, because we didn't think it was fair in the history books that when the cavalry won it was a great victory, and when the Indians won it was a massacre.

Execution
Execution
Ann had killed two men, for that she was fated to
die, there had been many appeals, they were in
vain; the governor too, not a man of much emotion,
had turned his manicured thumbs down.
Ann had been in our prison, five years now and had
become a friend and it was us, her keepers, whose
task it was to end her life, this woman who felt safe
in our jail, but she had brutally killed two men.
She asked us to be in the death room with her and
we spoke to her as she was injected with lethal drugs
and slipped away. A murderess that had killed her
father and brother, but refused to tell anyone why.
I was alone in the office when the phone rang,
the governor himself on the line, it was his birthday
and if it wasn’t too late her life could be spared.
“Too late? Ok! A killer, guess she deserved to die.”

To A Departing Favorite
Thou mayst retire, but think of me
When thou art gone afar,
Where'er in life thy travels be,
If tost along the brackish sea,
Or borne upon the car.
Thou mayst retire, I care not where,
Thy name my theme shall be;
With thee in heart I shall be there,
Content thy good or ill to share,
If dead to lodge with thee.
Thou mayst retire beyond the deep,
And leave thy sister train,
To roam the wilds where dangers sleep,
And leave affection sad to weep
In bitterness and pain.
Thou mayst retire, and yet be glad
To leave me thus alone,
Lamenting and bewailing sad;
Farewell, thy sunk deluded lad
May rise when thou art gone.

Republic Day Anniversary Celebration In India,2012
IRT PMC, PMCH, RTS & SoN, Perundurai
The day, we know this land is ours, our own;
The day we say all Indians are brethren;
The day we love our motherland, more than our lives;
That day, our freedom, we have truly won!
Let Indians all have just one heart;
Let’s love the soil in which we are born;
Let’s live in unity as one;
Let integrity glow brighter than sun!
Let’s remember the lives all lost,
For getting freedom at blood-cost;
Let’s preserve what with toil, they got;
Let pride not leave our land to rot!
On this great day, let’s all rejoin;
Let’s do our duty selflessly;
Let’s thank and pray to Almighty,
To guide us to heaven, safely.

The Sandman who sleeps near-by a dustbin
Oh! The sad fading memory re-kindles.
That desperate fragile man was crying on a rainy day
And he was soaked in a cobbled narrow street.
I offered him a small colored note
But he refused.
And I gave him a big note that too he refused calmly.
Then only I realized that he was starving.
Unfortunately all the shops were closed and it seemed to be a public holiday in a memorial of a bygone puppet President.
[ *Sandman- The genie of folklore who makes children sleepy; in allusion to the rubbing of their eyes as if there were sand in them.]

The Birds reported from the South
743
The Birds reported from the South—
A News express to Me—
A spicy Charge, My little Posts—
But I am deaf—Today—
The Flowers—appealed—a timid Throng—
I reinforced the Door—
Go blossom for the Bees—I said—
And trouble Me—no More—
The Summer Grace, for Notice strove—
Remote—Her best Array—
The Heart—to stimulate the Eye
Refused too utterly—
At length, a Mourner, like Myself,
She drew away austere—
Her frosts to ponder—then it was
I recollected Her—
She suffered Me, for I had mourned—
I offered Her no word—
My Witness—was the Crape I bore—
Her—Witness—was Her Dead—
Thenceforward—We—t ogether dwelt—
I never questioned Her—
Our Contract
A Wiser Sympathy

Geronimos Cadillac
Put geronimo in jail down south
Where he couldnt look
A gift horse in the mouth
Took old geronimo by storm
Ripped off the feathers from his uniform
Chorus:
Oh boys, take me back
I wanna ride in geronimos cadillac
Oh boys, take me back
I wanna ride in geronimos cadillac
Sergeant, sergeant, oh dont you feel
Theres something wrong with your automobile
Warden, warden, oh listen to me
Be brave and set geronimo free
Governor, governor, oh isnt it strange
You never seen a car on the indian range
(chorus)
People, people, oh dont you know
The indians got no place to go
Jesus told me, and I believe its true
The red mans in the sunset too
Took our land, now they wont give it back
They sent geronimo a cadillac
(chorus)

The Gandhihood....
You gave us a simple man, full of kindness
humblest and with godly bless
not a lord
owning his own soul like power
you like us, we poorest of poor
the real Indians..........
we like you Bapu, you only know us....
(they not know us... we are really Indians..)
the father of poorest of poor
the light still delight us...Bapu.....
and then we have many 'gandhees'
but the Indira we loved her
a worthy heir of a ablest leader
Blooded to the battle
Born to for fight
Sowed the pride in our soul nation
Not to thrill of the fight
To die for a cause
Honour and the great glory
To win without a great life
lived for India.......
the great Rajiv...
the' new' India wants glory.....
he made a new vision for this nation
and Sonia the mother....
without a power
but all these great sacrificing.....
