One of the biggest mistakes a photographer can make is to look at the real world and cling to the vain hope that next time his film will somehow bear a closer resemblance to it.

Closer To Heaven
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me all your love
Tell me now
Youre coming home tonight
Have some faith
In the love we share
Is it fate
Does darkness end in light
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Whered you go
Did you loose your way
Tell me now youre coming back to stay
In my hopes
Paradise is real
Horoscopes
Cant forecast how well feel
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me hope
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Never been closer to heaven
Never been further away
Give me hope
Give me hope

The galleries are full of critics. They play no ball, they fight no fights. They make no mistakes because they attempt nothing. Down in the arena are the doers. They make mistakes because they try many things. The man who makes no mistakes lacks boldness and the spirit of adventure. He is the one who never tries anything. His is the brake on the wheel of progress. And yet it cannot be truly said he makes no mistakes, because his biggest mistake is the very fact that he tries nothing, does nothing, except criticize those who do things.

Do You Need
[1st Rap]
Peter gunz you know that cat with the rolex

headed to Queens on the triboro
you see my shortie in the QB
spend some QT with my cutie
do my duty on the booty
and only you see me
up in the dark room sexin
with Tyrese and the cd
You make me happy
and I know that it's true
there's somthin bout the things you do
takes all my cares away
makes me sacrifice
everything I want in life
you could never ever find another
lover who could love you like
I could
and you would never ever need another
if you let me love you
[Chorus]
Do you need what I need
someone who's true
no time or denying what I feel for you
so let's keep it real
like the way you make me feel
don't make no mistakes girl
I'll be there for you
I tried to stop my feelings
but I cant get enough
girl I crave for your love
don't stop this fantasy
let me know that you can be with me
please relieve this agony
you could never ever find another
lover who could love you like
I could
and you would never ever need another
if you let me love you
Do you need what I need
someone who's true
no time or denying what I feel for you
so let's keep it real
like the way you make me feel
don't make no mistakes girl
I'll be there for you
Do you need what I need

Photographer From Chicago
In the department store
on Nicollet Mall,
a photographer
photographed me
from Chicago.
He came back before
snowy and blurry,
MN Twins were winning
The World Series.
photographs were taken
when I was young,
it was great I
had a lot of fun.
now the roll of film
almost became lost,
another photographer
found it before it was tossed.
if anything I still have
photos to show
I was young and a glow.

Nothing, nothing
Nothing I like better
Together, now together
Nothing I like better
Closer (sampling)

Sometimes
This feels so right
Im losin my mind
I wish that we could stop
And stop time
Then we could be together
All night
Theres nothing I like better
Getting closer (closer)
Closer (closer)
Closer, closer, closer, closer
Closer, closer
Nothing, nothing
Nothing I like better
Together, now together
Nothing I like better
Closer (sampling)

Somehow
I stop myself from cryin
Out loud
When Im with you
cause Im so proud

Real Men...
real men...
dont threaten.
real men dont lie.
real men dont take
at the expense of others.
real men dont quit.
real men dont make excuses.
real men dont follow blindly.
real men dont abuse women.
real men are good fathers.
real men live by respect.
real men dont seek violence,
but dont back down.
real men get involved.
real men face their fears,
and their failures.
real men own their mistakes.
real men dont judge.
real men pray with the same hands
they wipe their buts with,
and know it!
real men forgive.
real men love at all costs.
real men stand for what they believe...
what the world needs now
is real men... (and women) !

Don't lose your own hope at sixty
You'll reach your next nice destiny
One thing you'll never really know
How it could be with me in a real show
Don't bother to make a future plan
To change what is already done
It's nothing to lose and I can explain
That you will be so tired working in vain
Maybe I know you from another life
But I ran for being to another 's wife
Why I did this and how it could be
I know 'cause I received my prophecy
Don't lose your hope you'll be happy some day
All the world is yours and you do not have to pay
If you get crazy when I'm talking about love
Maybe is something coming to you from above
But don't be sad 'cause you can get everything
In this world of yours except on little thing
But you need a heart and to be good to get it
It's too much to pay so better forget it
So don't lose your hope at your own sixty
It's time to reach your next alive destiny
One thing you'll certainly never know
How it could be with me in your real show

The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get
The more you ignore me
The closer i get
You're wasting your time
The more you ignore me
The closer i get
You're wasting your time
I will be
In the bar
With my head
On the bar
I am now
A central part
Of your mind's landscape
Whether you care
Or do not
Yeah, i've made up your mind
The more you ignore me
The closer i get
You're wasting your time
The more you ignore me
The closer i get
You're wasting your time
Beware !
I bear more grudges
Than lonely high court judges
When you sleep
I will creep
Into your thoughts
Like a bad debt
That you can't pay
Take the easy way
And give in
Yeah, and let me in
Oh, let me in
Oh let me ...
Oh, let me in
It's war
It's war
It's war
It's war
It's war
War
War
War
War
Oh, let me in
Ah, the closer i get
Ah, you're asking for it

Hope Has A Son (II)
For every sickness
you have to bear
For every song
you cannot hear
Hope has a son
For every angel
with a broken wing
For every dove
that cannot fly
Hope has a son
For every sea
you cannot see
For every ocean
you have to sail
Hope has a son
For every victory
that died in vain
For every game
you lost again
Hope has a son
For every favor
you have to kneel
For every love you grip that frailed
Hope has a son
For every weep
that make you weak
For every snow
that makes you weary
Hope has a son

Closer 2 U
I'm gonna get closer to you
Come closer!
I'm gonna get closer to you
Come closer!
I see you watching me boy
Like I've been watching you and
I think it's time that we get down
We're talking big attraction
We're talking interaction
I think it's time that we get down
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Closer to you
I'll take you on a journey
You'll see that there's no turning back
Just need a chance and we'll get down
It's time for stimulation
When we're in isolation
I'll make you feel up if you're down
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Come closer and closer still
Closer you make me thrill
Moving your body next to mine
Come closer and closer still
Closer you make me thrill
Closer I'll make you feel divine
Closer to you!
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Get closer to you now baby
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Oh baby, baby baby baby
I'm gonna get closer to you
(Closer to you now)
Show you all that love can bring you
(Closer to you now)
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Whenever you are near
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can bring you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
I'm gonna get closer to you
Show you all the love can give you
I'm gonna get closer to you now
Only, only you!
I'm gonna get closer to you
(Closer to you now)
Show you all that love can bring you
(Closer to you now)
I'm gonna get closer to you now

Closer To Heaven
(lead vocal - eric woolfson)
Rising and falling lighter than air
Silently calling no one is there
Oh, bird that is flying so high and so free
Closer to heaven than you and me
Voices of strangers keep me from sleep
Guardian angels watch over the deep
A ship that is sailing way out to the sea
Closer to heaven than you and me
Visions of rain fall out of blue skies
Rivers of tears fall out of dry eyes
Answer my question tell me no lies
Is this the real world or a fools paradise?
Wind that is blowing so wild and so free
Closer to heaven than you and me
Closer to heaven longing to be
Closer to heaven than you and me
Visions of rain fall out of blue skies
Rivers of tears fall out of dry eyes
Answer my question tell me no lies
Is this the real world or a fools paradise?
Love that lies sleeping wakes in the night
Secrets for keeping that wont see the light
I look to the future and I hope it will be
Closer to heaven than you and me
Closer to heaven longing to be
Closer to heaven than you and me

The Film Of My Love
Co-starring you
And co-starring me
Starring us both together
The film of my love
Will travel the world
Forever and ever and ever
A back lot romance
A scripted affair
The screenplay a blessing from heaven
Were gone with the wind
On the orient express
To join the magnificent seven
The film of my love
Will travel the world
And travel the whole world over
The film of my love
Will travel the world
Over and over and over
The film of my love
Will travel the world
Over and over and over
Over and over and over again
Over and over and over
A close-up of yours
A long shot of mine
Superimposed together
Ill zoom in on you
With a love that is true
In cinemascope forever
A clapper board kiss
Theres an oscar in this
A hit or a miss whatever
A box office wedding
A premier for two
Well be on location forever
When pathe recall
The thrill of it all
Theyll edit us both together
A legend a classic
An epic of love
Captured on film forever
A lasting embrace
That time cant erase
Let them censor the wind
Or the weather
The film of my love
Will conquer the world
Forever and ever and ever
The film of my love
Will travel the world
And travel the whole world over
The film of my love
Will travel the world
Over and over and over
The film of my love
Will travel the world
Over and over and over
Over and over and over again
Over and over and over
Over and over and over

Closer To Me
(john farrar)
I know that in time I can handle this a little better
But what can I do if your heart wont let her go
There are times I mean everything to you
Life can be so sweet when I do
You know...
You gotta know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
I beg you for the truth but I dont wanna hear it
You pour it all out and I wont go near it
Oh no, oh no, but I believe youre gonna love me again
So Ill try to make it easier till then
You know...
You gotta know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
Are you gonna break away, set yourself free
Let me see the kinder man that I used to see
Make yourself open up, let it all go
If youre really mine again, let this crazy fool know
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
Get a little closer to me
Theres a better way to do this dance
Come and get closer to me
If you wanna go back where we used to be
Get a little closer to me
I wanna be closer
I wanna go back where we used to be
Oh baby, please get close to me
Get a little bit closer
I wanna be closer
I wanna be closer
I gotta be closer

One Step Closer
I'm 'round the corner from anything that's real
I'm across the road from hope
I'm under a bridge in a rip tide
That's taken everything I call my own
One step closer to knowing
One step closer to knowing
I'm on an island at a busy intersection
I can't go forward, I can't turn back
Can't see the future
It's getting away from me
I just watch the tail lights glowing
One step closer to knowing
One step closer to knowing
One step closer to knowing
Knowing, knowing
I'm hanging out to dry
With my old clothes
Finger still red with the prick of an old rose
Well the heart that hurts
Is a heart that beats
Can you hear the drummer slowing?
One step closer to knowing
One step closer to knowing
One step closer to knowing
To knowing, to knowing, to knowing

Human II [Don't Turn Your Back On Me]
I know this was my fault but
How much should it cost
To make things right
Do I have to pay for life
We all fall short sometimes
And I'm guilty of that crime
But I just wanna make you see
That you can still believe in me
I know, I make mistakes
I am what I am
I'm only a man
So don't take my joy away
Don't turn your back on me
Speak to me, let me know how you feel
If you feel like you can hold on and be strong
I will never leave you lonely
I cry sometimes 'cause I make you cry
And that ain't right
I won't make the same mistake twice
Baby please forgive me
I know, I make mistakes
I am what I am
I'm only a man
So don't take my joy away
Don't turn your back on me
No I can't erase the wrong I've done
But I hope you can give me another chance
'Cause if you were me you would want the same
And I'd give that chance to you
I know, I make mistakes
I am what I am
I'm only a man
So don't take my joy away
Don't turn your back on me
I know, I make mistakes
I am what I am
I'm only a man
So don't take my joy away
Don't turn your back on me

How to Make Mistakes
Any one came make a mistake
but few know how to do it expertly.
Since I have so much experience here
I offer then
to provide
a primer
such that you can abide
in my attempts
to upgrade
the caliber
of the mistakes you make.
First communicate about your mistakes
you'll find millions
who then become your friends
you'll learn to laugh and cry with them
and so understand that
on Earth
Mistakers are the majority
and thereby are never at a loss for company.
All you have to say is
'I often make mistakes, ' and you are in.
Deniers always blame the other
but even if other are truly really to blame
true Mistakers never do that
because that puts you alone with yourself
fighting and blaming the world
and that is a Lonely Stance too far.
Next, really master your art
go into detail about it
enjoy the wallowing through
because if you do
you will come out the other side more mistake proof.
Saying 'I made a mistake here, ' without guilt, being intimidated or exaggerating,
without bitterness
being willing to allow your self this humanness
is to rise above eeven one's biggest most awful mistakes.
In coming through all this
you will have many many friends,
because Mistakers really really understand and we are millions
And
more
even if you are surrounded by others
who can't or won't do this
keep your hand because doing this takes courage
and know that some day many of them
will take your offered hand
rather than continue to live in their mistake denying aloneness.
