Re-Dedicated
Simmering stew of love
Left unattended
She left in such a rush
That she forgot to tell:
When to straighten my skirt
And when done away with
-Put my smiles away in attic
[Originally inspired after a brief conversation with a very precious friend about her mother who died when she was 5; didn't know that in just six months it had to be re-dedicated to her when she died and left her 5 years daughter-forever; this is from her daughter]

Someone Needs to Draw For Them a Much Clearer Picture
So closed have been my eyes.
So closed and distracted.
From those acts,
That now I can say...
Left unattended,
My values.
Standards I expected to be maintained...
Use to have identifiable names!
Today,
I'd be hard pressed...
Trying to find anyone addressing them.
And that is my fault.
I can't recall the last time,
I reminded anyone...
To keep them encouraged,
Flourished and well nourshed.
I kept hot flashes of fast cash in my mind!
And for too long.
'That'...
I can admit was wrong!
But I can not be the only one,
That has been that stupid?
And I observe more destitution on the streets!
Why can't these people get on their feet,
Get a job and go home! ?
Or establish good credit,
Like the others snuggled in,
Their suburban homes.
Slicing to eat,
Another piece of that Apple pie.
So closed have been my eyes.
So closed and distracted.
From those acts,
That now I can say...
Left unattended,
My values.
'Are those inner city people still whining?
Someone needs to draw for them a much clearer picture.
Perhaps if they see how it is done...
They will get themselves together! '
~Will that be all, Master Lawrence? ~
'Yes.
Make several copies.
Hand a few to that bag lady!
Tell her to dispense with them amongst the crowd.
Maybe that will give them some incentive,
To move away from my doorstep.
And become viable citizens of this great land! '

American husbands are the best in the world; no other husbands are so generous to their wives, or can be so easily divorced.

Cars left abandon with fallen leafs upon them,
wives and husbands left alone to soon,
children lost and missing a love one,
now fully grown,
sadness and tears still flow,
I still morn the ones I have known.

Not finished
Why are my palms sweaty?
Why am I so restless and jumpy?
I'm pretty nervous all the time,
but this is crazy!
Crazy?
Maybe.
I tend to consider
the things left unattended.
no one cares that your late, so why are you worried.
I guess I just don't want to be hated!

The East Gippsland Fires
In East Gippsland the fires are still going miles of woodland and farmland and bushland destroyed
The huge fire front it keeps on burning it's way through the brown Countryside,
Fires started by thunder and lightning and fires started by human kind
Amongst every rural community a firebug or two you will find
For many East Gippsland farmers a financial disaster by drought conditions already hit hard enough
The fires that have burnt to death many of their animals in their paddocks has made life for them far more tough,
The fire quenching rains are not coming the fires raging onwards and on
But the financial stress for them will continue and their heartbreak with the passing of the fires will not have gone
A tough time for farmers in general and they are facing a very tough year
But when fire rages in drought ravaged paddocks sad stories of heartbreak we do hear,
Many homes have been burned to ashes wildlife and domestic animals to the flames have been lost
Between drought and fire many rural communities left burdened with the huge financial cost
Left by the fire that burned it's way through their Country financial recovery for them may take years
And they will remember the bushfires that blackened the landscape with tears.

Roof tiles are positioned to face downwards so that husbands and wives can be left alone.
I Remember The Torture Room
i remember the torture room
i thought at first
it is hell where hot fires
and forks
hurt my skin and pierce
the flesh of my body
i imagine it
to be this oven
of cinders where
devils with tails
and horns
frighten me
it isn't
the torture room
in fact
is in the big house
where people
come and do not
talk
where we
have no
convergence
of the minds
where
she loves him
but he loves
another
where wives
hate
and batter
their husbands
where husbands
too
slap their wives
and abandon
them
for another
where children
have no
respect
for parents
and where
parents
do not mind
their children
where governments
run the state
for their
own personal
profit
where people
sell their
votes
where there is no care
and love
where hope cannot
thrive
where there is
indifference
violence
and perpetual
hatred and
always for
retaliation and
revenge
it is indeed
a beautiful house
an earth filled
with colors
but those
who live here
have converted
this
into a torture room
we, now live
in the room
that we deserve

Atiogbe
Wives, submit to your own husbands,
For the husband is the head of the wife;
Husbands, love your wives!
And stop jumping from bed to bed;
For, i am Atiogbe in your city stidying various things,
And i have more things at hand to tell.

You're living in paradise
I'm getting tired of hearing your silly complaints.
You're angry because your husband isn't a saint.
Your husband forgets and leaves the toilet seat up and you think this isn't very nice.
You think you have it bad but you're really living in paradise.
Your husband has a few flaws but in my eyes he's great.
When I tell you about some other husbands, he'll be a man who you 'll appreciate.
I've seen husbands who beat and raped their wives and some husbands who even threatened them with guns.
And you complain about the superficial things your husband has done.
Close to where I live, a man killed his wife and then set her on fire.
Be thankful that your life isn't so dire.
These poor women's lives have been completely destroyed.
And you have the nerve to complain because your husband goes out once a week with the boys.
Before you complain about your husband again, maybe you should think twice.
You think you have it bad but you're really living in paradise.

Amber Glow
Amber Glow
Red and yellow painted leaves
hang idly within the trees
They break and sail along the breeze
As fires of Autumn's time
They dance and surf upon the ground
Overlap each other with ruffling sound
A setting I am glad I found
As fires of Autumn's time
Like fires of the Autumn season
they leap and dance without a reason
A factor of Autumns many seasons
As fires of Autumn's time'
The grey clouds break, the sun appears
The dancing leaves appear to sere
These flames its kept for many years
As fires of Autumn's time

The Real Wife
Teaches her children to love and serve God always
Honors her husband and loves him sacrificially
Engages in learning activities that promote holiness in her
marriage
Redeems and restores her husband when he falls out of grace
Expects her husband to be her teacher, leader, mentor and
counselor
Acknowledges her husband's' foibles but never use them to
belittle him
Loves her husbands and treat him as the king of her earthly
kingdom
Wins her husband's affection and friendship with her 'savoir
faire et vivre'
Initiates special activities that please her husband and boosts
his confidence
Forgives her husbands with no intention to regurgitate past
offenses
Excels in matters of the soul and heart and excite her husbands
with holy living

Successful men make lousy husbands;
Successful women make lousy mothers.
Husbands and wives tending their families
Are equally successful people.

Entitled To Thieve
The approach to it has been,
And still is
Extremely basic.
If that which has existed,
Has done so as consciously implemented.
By those who now oppose the results of it.
Who has a right to criticize anyone,
For an irresponsibility.
Seen to be observed as collectively done,
By everyone who has allowed its presence.
Who has had the authority,
To shift with a blaming
Of an accountability?
Me?
I know your fingers are not pointed at me!
Who has been on hiatus?
To have left the candy store unattended?
Remember,
I am not trusted to even be a customer.
Let alone
To be one endeared with a key.
And
Don't look at me.
That assignment has been given to others,
Most of my life.
With a success that has left them motionless.
And
Perhaps that attraction to my activities,
Has been the basis
Of those insecure.
With a leaving to others
Feeling entitled to thieve.
The very same ones,
Unbelieving
The ones they have protected,
Have been the deceivers and thieves
Bleeding them of their own 'borrowed' resources.
Look
The only threat I've posed to you,
Has been my skin color.
I have never had ideals to corrupt.

A husband is like a fire - he goes out when unattended.
Fire
There are many things we call a fire.
The ones we light to keep us warm.
The fire that burns within our heart
whenever we fall in love.
There are the fires of passion
that ignite within our soul.
There fires can burn eternally
and we feel them everyday.
All the fires that burn around and within us,
burn throughout all the days of our lives.
