When I was much younger, I sometimes felt rejected by feminists because of an image that I sold because it paid the bills. Any fool could tell my hair is dyed.

A Gentlemans view
I hold the door open for you
a simple act of courtesy
This any gentleman would do.
To you I act insultingly.
Because you simply do not know
how a true lady should react
and the hostility you show.
Just demonstrates this sorry fact.
How sad it is this should be so
That Feminists can only see
Politeness as another blow
against their female dignity.
A lady knows how to accept
such a proffered courtesy
She feels entitled to expect
to be treated courteously
I do not say that feminists
cannot be ladies. I dare not
I am quite sure some must exist
In my experience not a lot
I will still act the gentleman
I know that ladies understand
I act this way to show I can
Be as polite as any man.
So if my manners cause offence
It is something I regret.
But perhaps I might influence
Some feminists so they forget.
Their attitude towards all men
is fuelled by their ignorance.
I hope that they will think again
There might just be the slightest chance.
I recognise equality
I merely choose to be polite
If you prefer hostility
It is your choice you have the right.

Bicycle Wheels
Life is to be lived on the positive tip
Never lose the ground
You never gonna slip
If you never lose the ground
Always draw the line
Never wear the frown
Shouldve got myself some bicycle wheels
Shouldve got myself some bicycle wheels
Shouldve got myself some bicycle wheels
On the wings of steel
Theres dinosaurs in countries
Everyone that Ive seen
Theres dinosaurs in countries
If you know what I mean
I always keep a watch on the ever changing future
Doing what I want
And you could do what suits you
I said throw your hands in the air
I like to see your armpit hair
Throw your hands in the air
I like to see your armpit hair
Life is to be lived on the positive tip
Ill never lose the ground
You know Im never gonna slip
Never gonna slip, cause I never lose the ground
Always draw the line
You know I never wear the frown

Shedding Girdles
Shedding girdles and their padded bras
the early feminists all sought equality,
but women have returned to pick-up bars
to prove their serious interest in frivolity.
Now things are plus ça change, and déjà vu,
as leather skirts are getting shorter and much tighter,
and décolleté’s the favorite point of view,
and every day the outlook seems to be far brighter,
as men stand tall, by women given headroom,
and feminists have been defeated and admonished,
while women now are focused on the bedroom,
with prejudice against male chauvinists abolished.
Inspired by Maureen Dowd’s article in the NYT of October 30,2005 cited in my poem “Lovetime”.

Even More Domineering
I love Rudi’s protectiveness, Juliette says
I’m a disgrace to all feminists, I love his
jealousy while Juliette points out that she
is the great beauty, not I, she has the hair,
seriously beautiful hair, long legs and big
blue eyes; while I have soft hair, light-sen-
sitive eyes and short legs and a non-sexy
smile, Juliette has been crowned first
princess in a beauty pageant
She mockingly threatens to steal Rudi from
me, he’s much too handsome and I’m much
too clinging, she says, but I disagree, I asked
him could he have chosen Juliette if he had
met her first, he burst out laughing and said
not on your life, I don’t care for eyes, legs and
hair, but about what’s inside, I asked him if
he loved what’s inside me more
than the outside –
He replied, I love what’s inside AND I adore
the package in which you arrived, he kissed
my non-glamorous hair and my light-sensitive
eyes and said he liked the fire that lived inside,
he kissed my non-sexy smile and said the love
in the line of my lips drove him wild, I asked him
about my being too dependent and forcing him
to be domineering, using Juliette’s arguments;
he decided then and there
To become even more domineering instead
and marched me off to bed…

Sooner could you hide an elephant under your armpit.
If we're for one another, we're feminists. The rest is semantics.

Want More Hair?
I'd love
I think
more hair
more hair
like a big
old grizzly bear
more hair makes
you manly
more hair
makes you tough
more hair feels
like carpet
more hair keeps
you rough
more hair
for pretty ladies
to rub their faces on
more hair for
guys to jealous of
and more locks that can
be flung
I think more hair would be awesome
but I wouldn't wanna overdo it
because too much hair would make
me like a little furry blanket
and I couldn't cover both of us
just you and that ain't fair
more hair!

I think I can speak for all four of us on the show here. We all consider ourselves to be feminists and we get very upset when people don't think we are. We're like, where did this come from? Of course we are.
